  • Very well done. Thanks.

  • It does look fake, doesn't it? I am so used to modern films, that I notice the sets on older films & TV shows -- especially restored versions because of better contrast. When I was a kid, I initially laughed & watched Star Trek, because of the bad special effects & obviously plastic models. Later, I learned to enjoy it for the stories. When I watch re-runs now, I notice the sets, fake rocks, fake grass, etc. I think we're losing our imagination & the ability to think abstractly. It's a shame.

  • It doesn't get any better than the original theme of The Adventures of Superman with legendary narrator Bill Kennedy. I still get goose bumps listening to it.

  • No Lois & Clark: TNAoS?

  • nice job

  • Truth, justice and the American way...lost ideals of a bygone era.

  • Just awful.

  • thank you so much for posting, luv the remix.. please come back america & crush these commies- obama & company & all america haters

  • Outstanding! I grew up with all of them, and this very, very, good!

  • @baldeagleism Thanks! :-)

  • use 2 watch this as a kid, looks so fake now.

  • I loved it. Great work!

  • I liked the dedication best of all. (sniff)

  • Nice job

  • you redone it well!

  • One of the most memorable show introductions ever done. However, why does Superman not flinch when they shoot him with bullets but he ducks when they throw the empty revolver at him?????

  • From the Character's point of view it makes no sense at all. But from the actor's point of view it makes perfect sense: "The bullets are special effect so they dont hurt, But someone throws an empty revolver at me that might hurt" so he ducks.

  • Because George Reeves didn't want to get hurt.

  • @Oldbluehere Ah, the bullet were aimed at his chest. But the revolver was going towards his head! Don't mess with the 'do man! ;-) Or was that Fonzi?

  • Wow! A magnificent tour-de-force in glorious homage of mythic proportions to the greatest

    super-hero of them all.

Having been raised on the "Adventures of Superman",the best time of my childhood

spentwith a red towel adorned around my neck, draped over my back (sometimes even today, shhh) I'm about the best authority there is to tell you what a great job you've done!!" Thanks very much!

  • Tastefully done...and to think it was all it took was imagination of two,to inspire generations upon generations to follow! One word..no,not that word, well ok, SUPER!

  • Nice re-mix!

  • superman now works on the oil desk at GOLDMAN SACHS.

  • bambi

  • that was straight

  • Well done!

  • nice.

  • Two questions: (1)does anyone know who the great announcer was? (2) Where is Dean Cain in this montage?

  • This is great! :) I'd like to see you keep the audio, and do EACH version of Superman solo, though! I think it'd be neat to see each one like that. :)

  • Hmmm, neat idea! I did have trouble deciding which to use for each, there were great scenes to use for each 'guy'!

  • See? THERE ya go! Doing it for each Superman would make it easier to choose the scenes for each guy! :) Did you see the Tom Welling one for Smallville using this audio? THAT one is well done, too! :)

  • "I fight for Truth and Justice, Not Just for America, But for all the World". Superman rules. Too bad True Brit was utter trash.

  • Great vid. The classics never die.

  • Fighting for the American way? Pffffff, laaaaaame

  • You have to remember when this was originally done, the 'American Way' actually meant something. Often later, this intro (which is to the Fleischer Superman Cartoons) was edited to exclude 'the American way'. In Superman Returns, the line was cut to "Does he still fight for truth, justice...all that stuff?"

  • I messed up. This isn't the intro to the Fleischer cartoons... The rest is true though.

  • Why is it lame? Seriously? Is it because Superman is and has been inspirational to so many generations? Is it because he's one of the top 5 fictional and globally recognized characters?

    I don't understand why it's lame.

  • I don't think it's "lame," either, but everyone has a right to their opinion. In fact, Superman would support that right. "The American Way" referred to a time when the series was for American audiences, and Superman IS an American. Now, he's also a citizen of the world. And, lest we forget, he's and alien...and I'm not sure he's been legalized. See the very nice "Superman Deported" on YouTube.

  • Oh, I agree everyone's got a right to their own opinion, but unless you can BACK UP that opinion with more than "It ROCKS!" or "It SUCKS!", that opinion isn't worth the time it takes to say out loud. :)

By the way, Superman ROCKS! (for the reasons I gave above, and more!) :)

Oh, and Superman WAS legalized in every country that is a UN Nation. :)

  • Superman is my favorite, too. Swinging throught the concrete canyons might be fun, but flying trumps it! I remember the story where Superman was allowed to fly through the airspaces of various countries. Do see "Superman Deported" if you haven't already.
