A diesel? Well that is something different, one thing I may add is it appears to be a bit sort of slow and heavy, is it even going up on the plane? Is it a displacement hull? The engine doesn't even sound like its labouring so could do with a bit of fine tuning with adapting the load to use the power better like a 2:1 step up gearbox to spin the jet faster, considering that Diesel power is more torque than speed like petrol. By the way, great work to the dude who did this
@PA5cAl1 Or a Rotax 2 stroke watercooled engine, like most other Jet Ski's have, motorcycle engines are a bit harder to attempt getting direct shaft coupling (depending on how its made), a great car motor would be a Subaru boxer style engines, if the Jet ski is wide enough to accomodate the width, I know they go well in boats due to being a flat motor, means you can have a floor instead of a big box in the middle of it.
how long did it live? It would be a total bummer for the sealant on the fiberglas to go somewhere in the middle of the lake. Nice job to have some fun though.
technically speaking a Jet Ski is any kawasaki PWC(personal watercraft) so no its not a jetski but a personal watercraft which is a jetski!!!! GOOD JOB!! with better hull and turbo u could do something.
ok it is not the stupidest engine for a car but a jetski i admire there creative but my opinin is it is not cool but like i said creative nofthing aginst them or you
Your the moron I am the one with the jetski it went 69 when it was stock now it will go 73 tops if not 72 when theres just me on it a little bit of gas plus i did not just upgrade the sparkplugs theres ton of other little modfications that we u add it all up gives u about 5 mph more plus has to be calm water because it sucks falling off a jet ski going 50 couldnt magine around 70 OOUUCCHH
Well a jetski would look like any other jetski wouldn't it. A pizza from US and a pizza from Italy will look alike apart from the quality. I admit my quality is not that good but i don't care.
@iftyshifty First of all well done.Considering that you did everything yourself it's impressive. Can you please whta type of jet propulsion you used , cause I'm looking to buy one from somewhere.
The fibre glass moulding were made in Rawalpindi, the engine and steering was bought locally. However, the hull was bought from Karachi as they have a lot of boat yards because of being near the coast.
It for economic reasons because of the price of diesel but also because in the beginning it was a petrol engine but it kept on breaking down and so changed it to diesel.
nice effort Ifty. I appriciate you on your successful efforts. I like this. Why dont you put our project pictres on the web and define the cost to help people who want to build it.
I am so impressed you could do this on your own!!!!!! The engine has a nice "Throaty" sound to it. Is the engine waterproofed if you tip your ski? Is regular gas engines available in Kashmir?
A regular engine is available without any problems whatsoever but a diesel engine is much safer incase of collision etc. Also, if the ski gets tipped over it is OK as the compartment is screw sealed.
NO PROBLEM for me to supply you with one but honestly - not recommended. The shipping costs are stupid. If you are from the U.S then you dont have a problem because they are quite cheap out there. PEACE.
Nice one Bro. AlhamoLillah I can see you were having a Great time. Inshallah I will also do the same when I visit Kashmir. Five Stars from me all the way :o)
also a lot of then cannot swim although we make them put on a life jacket and so its also a responsibility of ours to make sure they don't try to go too crazy and drown.
I understand where you are coming from. A lot of relatives decide to use the jetsk when they come and do not pay for diesel. So we have turned down the engine rev so that it does not cost us much, hence the speed. Normally its on full power and pretty good.
this is brilliant ,,i wish your brother will come to Ghana one day so we could do the same,,,all expenses paid for..

lmao wtf you have to want to kill yourself after all that and no payoff
airboatoutlaw 3 months ago
The Big mistake was to use a diesel engine, that has a low RPM.
The jet impeller needs about 7000RPM for ideal operation.

Cool idea. I think the motor is the problem. It's car motot and it's heavy. With a motorcycle motor it'll probably go fatser.

no

why is it the stupidest engine, because its reliable and gives good fuel economy?
