@kingarthuriii and still thats not really getting rid of BN unless the components some how can fluctuate to become better to meet the needs of the user.then it would be a bottle cap system ^^
I have a AMD Athlon(tm) II X240 Processor (2 CPUs), ~2.8GHz. Memory: 5120MB RAM and hard disk drive is 600GB do you think i can play with a evga gtx 570
this may seem like a daft question but is it possible to have RAM as a bottlekneck in a system? im running a single module 2Gig DDR3 ram would this cause a bottleneck vs 2 X 1Gig modules?
I got an intel quad q8400 in 3.0ghz with 4g ddr2 800mhz, mobo is a asus P5E, power supply corsair tx750w i want to buy a gtx 570 will my system bottleneck??. My monitor resolution is 1920 x 1080
@johnrigo HDD(don't rly know the rpm, but if it less then 7200 it will be bottleneck) and ram. So buy an SSD for all your programs and games and at least 4 gb ram
@gangsterosman112 Every PC has a bottle neck. the important thing is that if the computer is fast enough for you then it is not effecting you then you don't have a problem.
ok...im buying my new pc system..i decided to go with q8200 with radeon 4870 on maximus II formula..is that a bottleneck or will it run games fine on a 22" monitor.
you wanted a radeon 4870 on a 22" monitor, no, well...if your not into games like Crysis and you don't wanna play it on pretty settings then go for it but i would say you need something faster gtx 280 perhaps
lets say you have a gtx 295 and your playing COD4 at 25 fps on max settings... O yah thats awsome right? NO, the gtx295 would play crysis at near max settings with no lag. So you look for the bottle neck. o you have a pentium3, 1ghz prosessor that is your bottle neck. In most cases its not that obvious though, lol
I am building a pc with a q6600 quad on an x38 asus motherboard. I will overclock my cpu to 3ghz and bus speed to 1333mhz but I want to know which is best for my system, 8gb of ddr2 800mhz ram or 4gb of ddr2 1066mhz ram.
Oh thanks for replying to a 10 month old comment :p I have a 8800GT 1gb and Intel E7200 4ghz now and am contemplating on whether or not to get a 4850 or not :p
I doubt many users will do this, but you can also remove bottlenecks by DOWNGRADING. Selling a video card with features you don't use and buying one without those features saves you money, is unnoticeable since you don't use the features, and removes the bottleneck.
This sort of also applies to Windows. Windows uses a generic CPU driver which limits use of any CPU you use. So it doesn't matter how fast your system should be, Windows itself is bottle-necking the system.
hmm so my cpu is the bottle neck?
amd athlon neo mv 26 thats 1.6ghz
while everthing else is well XD better
my question is can a inspiron be upraded in the first place?

so if i wont a faster experience i should upgrade my Ram???
joel189 4 years ago
Yes that is if you have enough preformance in the rest of your system e.g 30gbHD 512mbRM 1.0ghzCPU is ok but if you
have 120gb and 2ghz than you will want at least 1gb of ram maybe evan 2gb(if you use sevral applacations at once).
hope this helped!
asukafan8 4 years ago
Every system got a bottleneck the only question is how thick the neck turns out.
Goaltimer 4 years ago
upgrading the RAM is the best thing but i have a laptop its might be difficult to do that
kyleboose 4 years ago
Actually most models are simple to upgrade!
try going to your computers company(mine is acer) and getting a manual. thats how i did mine(512mb to 1gb)!
hope i hepled
