this is how the maps work.

fuel station is a cool map but wtf theres no sniper rifle on the roof. theres just a shitty flamethrower! wtf.

gold rush is too much like gridlock it ashames me the only difference is that to get the sniper you have to go further up onto a different level.

flood is okay. you have to stay in the emulsion for a long time for it to kill you and it has never actually flooded the map for me.

simple if you didnt go up and down the map layout is exactly the same. you start around a corner you go up to get the sniper and down to get the boomshot. just picture gridlock but the sniper is on a different floor.

We only recommend these maps to hardcore gears fans. If your just a casual player then you probably won't be to impressed.

Yeah I agree, if you just want to play the game stick with the maps you have and the Flash Back, but if you want more variety and enjoy the throwback tot he other maps then yeah get these. Personally the maps are fun and until they get integrated into the the mainstream play lists they're going to be under appreciated.

I was lucky to already have points on my tag so it wasn't like i was spending any new money

this maps are good, the flood is a bit confusing as there are multiple ways to get to the middle that arent obvious the first play through

the fuel depot remake really takes some thinking to realize that it is kinda like the old map but it really doesnt feel like it

the gold rush i never played on the pc but the morter is one hell of a weapon on that map and must be subdued or controlled at all times.

whether it is or not the way the "station" map is laid out is very similar to "depot" in terms of the normal spawn points, distances, and the areas of the map. While I do admit it's not a direct port, it is extremely similar in its layout.
