No, it is powered by drive rollers that are (temporarily) pressed into the face of the tire tread move movement and then pulled back for towing the RV. The entire unit is permanently mounted to the undercarriage (chassis) of the RV. Radio signal directs the movement. Runs off the the RV 12 volt battery
