ummmmmmm my source has been kinda cut off ummmmm to get the flash you take copper sulfate anhydros by heating weed killer and then you mix with mg powder?
@TheFluorineMartyr this must be the anhydrous (dehydrated) one, because pentahydrate means that there are 5 water moleculers per copper sulfate molecule (penta = 5 in latin)... my friend tried doing this with the pentahydrate... not good... nothing happened :( - he didn't listen to me
arhhh d: i was hoping you said that you bought it as a fungicide or something (ive heard they use cuso4 as a fungicide) i got some gel, dissolved in water and filtered water off now its not really liquid anymore and it didnt make any cuso4 crystals.. the gel was green-blue like cuso4
np, just don't fly to high, you will get hurt some day. starting with the cool stuff is also the dangerous stuff, stay to black powder and sugar propellant. get a damn scale somewhere too!
mmm.. /: my kno3/sugar only works with the kno3 i stole from school.. when i have purified it.. my homemade doesnt react with sugar /: which sucks and i cant get sulfur (no black powder)

I've been experimenting with sulfate flash powders to and they can be surprisingly powderful. 3:2 tends to be a good ratio.

Did you dehydrate your Copper Sulfate or use the pentahydrate straight up?

but if you know why asking? ^^ you can react that "Gel" with Sodium carbonate and decant/filtering many times..
