  • you false started

  • i feel slow!

  • With weight training you could probably improve your time even more, you look very skinny

  • hmm, comments are so unbelievable. Like all these people who run 47's. Try out for the olympics, that's almost olympic times. the WR is 43.18..

  • Wariner has inspired a generation of skinny white kids to take up the 400.

  • was diz really 51?

  • lol...I can't even beat 55

  • Very very impressive! Although theres no need to make an excuse such as "Tired from 200m..", the recovery time from a 200m dash is max 10 minutes.

  • You pprolly could drop second maybe lifting some weights.

  • false start....

  • Lucky this wasn't a huge meet, because you definitely false started

  • I have the same time :D

  • Respond to this video... @kezza454 You're going to have to show me where a 1:52 800 is fast enough for the olympics. Until then I'm going to have to say that was a foolish statement that you made out of either ignorance or as an impulsive reaction, no defense needed. For the sake of your sanity I apologize for my "insults"

  • @BeFruitful7 As a highschool runner myself i would have to say that i agree with you. The times they have been talking about are nothing to be super proud of, and i don't believe are fast enough to win any races of importance. I would say that they aren't necesarily slow or comical though, more like average for highschool runners these days.

  • @runalldaylong I was being ridiculous when I said that stuff I was saying, I was bashing, I know it lol...It was the result of seeing the times they were talking about in a bragging tone, it was annoying I guess, which gives me no excuse to conduct myself that way. But I gathered myself and still stand by what I say; not fast times. Thanks for your comment.

  • My friend jared is 13 and runs a 53

  • FALSE START!!!! haha

  • i run my 400 in 48.5 but my bro darius is 15 running 51 flat

  • that can't be a 51 cuz that look way too slow

  • wdf the comments are like stories fuck you no1s reading them

  • 48.03

  • thats good. my best is a 53.6

  • @W4luigi nice dude mine was 52, i am shooting for 50 this year maybe even 49

  • I respect the video...but guys you have to understand that 52's and 51's are slow in highschool now. It's even becoming slow for a freshman to run a 52. (Reffering to 5A division highschool track.)..Not trying to be a jerk, but apparently no one has told you the truth yet.

  • @BeFruitful7 dude thats still fast for anyone to run and no its not slow for freshman to run, maybe if your from the southern schools that have sub 48's but other than that thats fast nice running kid

  • @TheGoose45 Yes, I happen to be from the southern school. I ran 48.9 my senior year in highschool, but I'm an 800 runner. The fast 400m runners would make me look like a joke lol Whereas a freshman on my team that year split 48.6 on second leg of a 4x4. But as a collegiate runner and great fan of track, I'm sorry I can not agree to your statement of claiming those to be fast times. But I have seen guys who ran 57 as a freshman run 48 as a senior. (I'm one of them). So keep it up. Not tryna hull.

  • @BeFruitful7

You mean a freshman = 9th grade? where I come from a 52 will get you mid-place in Provincials as a highschool senior. (alberta)

  • @antmayfield Not sure where that is, but where I'm from a 52 as a highschool senior is something to laugh at. Now days we have guys that go 52-53 the first lap of their 800 and finish in 1:52. A 52 for a full-out 400m sprint is really comical.

  • @BeFruitful7 STFU. people run 1:52 for 800m in the olympic heats, and so somehow is seriously doubt that that is a regular time for people to get in ur area. maybe there is one person who can do it, and he has a very good chance of going to the olympics, but ur making it sound like its a regular thing that loads of people do. dont insult other peoples times. and i know uv been sayin that ur just givin ur opinion, but when you say someones time is something to be laughed at, u are insulting them

  • @kezza454 1:52 is actually a pretty decent time for highschool T&F. Nowhere near fast enough for olympic heats or college for that matter. lol

  • @kezza454 the top 2 kids in my highschool region last year ran 1:49s... if u can show me where people run 1:52 in the olympics, well, i'll give you a freaking cookie

  • @BeFruitful7 seems like a good time to me, i just started track this year and ran a 57 at 7800 ft at a regional meet in Addis, im 16 btw , so i guess the altitude would be affecting my time quite a bit but it was enough to bag third, so i dunno i would consider this dudes time quite decent, if not good.

  • @vdaking I understand that. I'm just going to say I have different standards then. I personally do not think those times are fast at all. The point of being able to comment is to express your opinion, thats all I was doing. Wasn't trying to bash anyone. I do not agree with either of you stating those to be fast times, not because I'm being a jerk, but because where I'm from those times are slow, point blank period, It'd never win a meet, unless going to a small one. Thats my opinion, not fact

  • haha i love how he's wearing a t shirt

  • I'm 14 and I play football but I run the 400m in 1min 3sec

  • @TheSirOlivier I'm 15 and I run the 400 in 53.55 seconds lol. not bad though :O

  • @DeathBringerI I run it in 55sec now since Ive started athletics :)

  • that was a false start.you shoudnt twich like that before the gun blows.and btw i am 18 and 2009 summer at june i had 49.80 lol

  • @leshnika please tell me you're not bragging about that time...lol

  • @BeFruitful7 dude he just started training, i just started training for 400m and im 16 and we did 300s and my pace was a 55 second 400, im not bragging im more of a 100m guy like 11 something seconds, im just doing it so that i can be a little bit more versatile as a track athlete thats all, i dont know where youre from but 51 seconds is not a slow 400m, the onlly guys you hear about now are high 40's guys, no need to cut him down bro, whats your quarter time?

  • @MrMaximilianWilhelm I'm a 1500 runner, I haven't ran the 400m race in 2 years. In highschool I ran a 48.9 (It was a 4x4 split, so probably like a 49.5 open)...But please note, I am a distance runner. Right now I run 49 400's in practice, without spikes. Again, I am a distance runner. I can send you a link of me running the 4x400 when I was a sophmore in highschool if you would like, I split a 50 flat. My old teamate is a soph in highschool, he split a 46.9 last week.

  • @BeFruitful7 wow sweet dude good for you you probably run all the time, like i said he just started training so just ease up on him its not a bad time for a beginner, so did I, i guarantee if i ran as much as you i would be running 49-50 secs ive been training for 60s and 100s, i easily ran 7.4 sec in 60m the other day and i slowed up the last 10m so i can probably run close to 7 flat next year for indoor

  • @BeFruitful7 wow sweet dude good for you you probably run all the time like your sophomore friend, like i said he just started training so just ease up on him its not a bad time for a beginner, so did I, i guarantee if i ran as much as you i would be running 49-50 secs ive been training for 60s and 100s so i dont have great endurance, i easily ran 7.4 sec in 60m the other day and i slowed up the last 10m so i can probably run close to 7 flat next year for indoor so im not slow

  • @MrMaximilianWilhelm You seem rather defensive, I never said that you were slow. You should understand this; I do not care much for your times, I do not think they are fast at all, however, like I said earlier (In case you have not read) I do believe people being slow now does not mean they will be slow later. Progression is ever possible, and attainable. There are much Much MUCH faster times out there. That is all. When you lose, no one cares how much you trained, a loss is a loss.

  • @BeFruitful7 thats interesting because the state winner for 60m was 7 sec flat, so thats not slow, i dont know why you think 11 seconds is slow for 100m, sure there are some people that can run 10 something but not a ton and the 400m is not my race but ill train at it. also i dont run all the time, i tried it out fairly recently and i was pretty good so ill train more now but how many guys do you know that can run under 7sec for 60m in high school? if you do im sure not alot.

  • @MrMaximilianWilhelm another reason im being kind of defensive is because 1) me and alot of kids that youve been making shitty comments to are still in highschool and still have ALOT of time to improve before senior year and 2)youre in college so at least be a little bit more mature about your comments rather than saying somebody's time is "something to laugh at" or "really comical", instead of being a dickhead to highschool track athletes you should try to give them tips and advice,

  • @MrMaximilianWilhelm Funny, you seem righteous all of the sudden. Anyways: 1. You act as if I'm a professional, I am a freshman in college, I was in highschool just last year 2. I was simply stating what I believe to be slow, and fast. 3. It seems to me that you and I simply have different standards. Same as the people on this video. My only mistake was not seeing that you guys are apparently from a different area, because where I am from is on a diff. level. Continue on, you don't need my input

  • @MrMaximilianWilhelm i agree11 seconds id definitely not slow for 100m, i met a guy who did it in 10.89 and he got an NCAA scholarship, so thats pretty fast

  • @MrMaximilianWilhelm just dont say peoples times or distances are comical and something to laugh at, you didnt simply state what you believe to be good and bad.

  • ur not 43.23 seconds.... this guy in the video is fast..... hes fast 400M is hard.

  • You know the WR is 43,18s? :P

I hope i get a vid of me with a faster time,, but the first 400m i'll will be indoor in febr. :)

  • i'm 11 and my 400 sprint is 48.35

  • cant wait to see your video to see how fast you actually run haha... 11

  • just lol not bad but we might need some proof :)

  • HA! ok

  • nice! :D now i have 49.89s :D first time under 50s !:D

  • Have 49.08s now.. i'm 19.. i don't know anything about freshmanstuff etc.. :P

Hope to run 48.50s or faster this year.. The 49.08s wasn't a very good race.

  • @AVSpiridon Same. I ran a 50.28 Senior year at sectionals claiming the champ. But here in college we are now running 48s and 49s.

  • @AVSpiridon Cool dude! I ran a 49 my sophmore year in highschool, but hey dont sweat it I'm Black lol. Great accomplishment though because a 51 to a 49 is not easy at all. Good luck next year!

  • @AVSpiridon how did you train for the 400m cause i want to beat my schools record and it 51.1 seconds and i am very determained to beat it

  • @hamburgertotheworld I train 2-3 times a week, 1 training lifting weights 1 training focusing on technique and 1 for endurance. In the weekend I usually do some interval. Most of the race to run that fast is mental, if you are physical fit you can run a 50sec and be total crap afterwards or you can run a 53 and feel the same, you need to be willing to die the last 100m, that's where most of the time usually gets lost.

  • @AVSpiridon thanks a lot im starting to get back into lifting weights now i just got to start running more thanks a ton!

  • lol nice .. i had 52:30 :D
