  • No. There is viscoelastic in the eye which is maintaining the chamber. While aspirating, you need to try and only aspirate the remaining cortex, not viscoelastic. If you find that you are loosing chamber because you are aspirating too much viscoelastic, just add more.

  • Wasn't there any irrigation while aspirating the subincisional cortex
