Love this. Love the one voice doing everything. Reminds me of when I was a kid, then it's so dark and gritty, let wonderfully poignant. Good story, good narration. Good vocal exchange at 9:25-10:25. The single voice forces you to focus on the personalities of the characters.

Something about 1 person doing all the voices it cool. All the voices sound the same. so the characters are differentiated only by how that one voice is used. The narrator has to nail all the character's personalities for the story to sound in any way believable, and it works.
Wow.. I was so excited when I became aware of this production, and I saw some animation and I thought--wow what an amazing job! But then I noticed all the men's voices sound alike, and then I heard some of the women speak, and now I just can't believe how much this thing really does suck! It's not that they didn't have the money to hire the proper voice actors, i think they just didn't want this version to outshine the dull and unrighteous live action movie--can't anybody get it right anymore?
Geesh, what's with everyone moaning about one guy doing all the voices, including the women's? You folks DO know that this isn't nor does it try to be a traditional animation, dontcha? It's supposed to be a "someone's reading the story to us" kind of thing.
He does very well the male characters, but god is it fucking lame when he tries the female ones lol

@Trademarc1977 It reminds me of my mother when I was a kid and she was reading to me. She tried to sound different on every character.
