Always annoyes me how gnostics talk about 'illumination' but fail to realise that illumation is really the association we have with 'the word' and that this really involves semiotics and epistemology. It's a process where we become associative with Christ's paradigm through his words and He therefore associative with us. The gnostic view denies this and encourages us to 'free our mind' and search our own truth with no 'foundation' (axioms) like branches without stems.
