I'm saying, if Israel has the right according to people to have a nuclear arsenal. So does Iran. And nuclear power (which they're producing) isn't the same as nuclear weapons. @Juicefulll may as well mention inaccuracies in your statements whilst i'm at it. Iran went to war with iraq in the 1980's, albeit defensively. Secondly, the figures in the ORB and Lancet surveys have been discredited. Better funded and more comprehensive non survey based studies into the deaths in iraq, such as the WHO figures, iraq body count, and the confidential US war logs that were leaked by wikileaks have the deaths between 100000 and 150000. It's nothing to do with being pro/anti war.

Just because the system of government is the same, it does not mean the moral zeitgeist hasn't shifted or that the same government is in power. Are you actually comparing iran and iraq? iraq was bankrupt due to a combination of a long war with iran and the sanctions and war reparations imposed on it. The UN were almost certain that iraq had no capability to acquire WMDs, it was the coalition who insisted that they did.

@Juicefulll As far as the crimes of the state go, everybody knows about the human rights abuses in occupied territories, including ethnic cleansing (by forcing the palestinians off their own land), and the abuse of palestinian prisoners. They have not, however, been responsible for genocide. In fact, the groups calling for it were outlawed by the knesset in the 1980s. Israel has problems, but dictatorship isn't one, seeing as civil liberties and democracy in israel proper are fairly secure

Palestine ceased to exist because Egypt and Jordan (et al) attacked Israel AND seized PALESTINE in 1948. Egypt ANNEXED Gaza & Jordan ANNEXED the West Bank. These ARAB nations did NOT establish a Palestinian state on those territories, & then they lost those territories in the 1967 Six-Day War. These ARAB nations had almost 2 decades to establish a Palestinian state but had NO INTENTION of doing so.
