@frontsavannasean my local doctor tried to keep offering me one. In fact he wanted me to come back this past Fall for the shot. I don't think so. Last major flu strain that really put me under was back when I turned 30. Body fought it off and it took a few days to recover from that one without medical intervention. Since then anything other variations I might have gotten have not been as intense. I think the immune system builds up a natural immunity if you let it. Just my take on the issue

I should know, I actually came down with H1N1 flu a few weeks ago. Sure I felt like crap and was miserable for a week, and then got a sinus infection from my weakened immune system. But I'm not dead, and all things considered, not nearly as bad as risking injury from the vaccine. Just another thing, I did go to the hospital (twice) for it, but all in all, they did nothing more than waste a total of 7 hours of my time and prescribe Tamiflu, which is useless when you're a week into it.

Many people who have caught this new Swine flu have been "nursed" through it just fine, without a vaccine. @frontsavannasean my local doctor tried to keep offering me one. In fact he wanted me to come back this past Fall for the shot. I don't think so. Last major flu strain that really put me under was back when I turned 30. Body fought it off and it took a few days to recover from that one without medical intervention. Since then anything other variations I might have gotten have not been as intense. I think the immune system builds up a natural immunity if you let it. Just my take on the issue

We had the "swine flu" before it was made a big deal of, & although it wasn't fun, it was nothing to freak out over. I think the risks of the shot outweighed the risks of the swine flu & now that it's passed, I think many would agree.

The reason that everyone from the W.H.O. to most family physicians are recommending H1N1 vaccines is not because they are expecting most people to die from it. Even though its killed a lot of young healthy people already. The fact is that pandemics like avian flu and swine flu have the potential to overload resources. If it keeps spreading, afflicted people could easily overwhelm E.R.'s and EMS systems around the country. If that happens then people definitely WILL die. I got mine and I'm fine.

I should know, I actually came down with H1N1 flu a few weeks ago. Sure I felt like crap and was miserable for a week, and then got a sinus infection from my weakened immune system. But I'm not dead, and all things considered, not nearly as bad as risking injury from the vaccine. Just another thing, I did go to the hospital (twice) for it, but all in all, they did nothing more than waste a total of 7 hours of my time and prescribe Tamiflu, which is useless when you're a week into it.

I may be wrong but you only get a strain of a particular flu once, each and every flu you get is different from any previous ones you've had. Many people who have caught this new Swine flu have been "nursed" through it just fine, without a vaccine. This vaccine is fairly new, hardlly been mass tested and I don't see how anyone can say it's safe, in the past the my government added "safe" things to kids school milk, they grew up with problems, had children with bad birth defects many years later
