  • I'm having trouble launching this game. I bought it off steam and I was just wondering if I met the system requirements. I have an AMD Athlon(tm) II P360 Dual-Core Processor 2.30 GHz. 4.00GB of RAM and a 64 bit operating system. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  • when do we finally have a matrix-like game system? It would be so great with this game :)

  • How come the master warning donst screm at you?

  • Nice video! Which button you use to move around so smoothly in the cockpit? Thanks!

  • @oherregud

    its called a track IR

  • This is awesome i have never seen a simulator like this one, 8 minutes to start everything is this how much a pilot need to start going?. Awesome work on the simulator i hope we see more like those in the future.

  • Good instruction, I haven´t the DCD A-10, I´ve the Iris, but it´s nearly the same...

  • Could you make a lesson on proper taxying. I can startup, and take off.... but I can't taxi for the life of me..

  • Wow such an awesome game..Well i never played it... Why is there so many buttons in an aircraft in real life? I bet you could simplify and remove half of those buttons...But i dont know im not a pilot!

  • @indirulz1234 dude, there is more than one reason to have a lot of buttons at our disposal on the cockpits. First reason i could point is to force the pilot to know the systems and how they operate, that being said it may be controversial but it simplifies things on the plane, that´s because the systems can be independent the pilot itself connect them and disconnect them, so when we have a failure we know where it is and possibly we can figure the best move to solve it or to go around.

  • I have a really cheap joystick without a duel thruster thing and its actually attached to the joystick and its just a small flap that you push up to boost the thrust. It wont let me click and move the thrusters or anything to get them to go to idle. how can I do this without at expensive joystick?

  • @TheZohaun Configure the control settings maybe?

  • Seriously cool.

  • wow.... i love you DCS thank you so much for creating games like these. Last time i played a decent simulation was Janes AH-64d Longbow and Janes ATF and since then i've been praying for more :D Thannkkksss!

  • Helmet movement I should imagine comes from using trackIR. Best bit of kit I've ever purchased.

  • how you get the helment movment

  • Could you imagine if you had to do this shit in BC2? Lol, the map would be over by the time you turned the lights on.

  • @d0z3rr LOL!!! Hahaha Was thinking of that in bf3 haha you just said what i was thinking. There would mabye be 1 person who knew how to start 1 but immidatly crashes when he starts to take off haha.

  • from what i know you use the button on the bit in the middle to kick taliban ass with misslies and machine guns and use the middle bit to fly

  • how i do that the gbu 38 jdams is ready? my boms are "INS alignment"

  • @desolat88 you need to wait ins nav ready flashing with T=4.0 0.8

this is complete alignment. EAC will need this too.

  • Is there a manual? and does this game qualify you to fly real jets?

  • @Dioxholster

There is much more than knowing how when it comes to flying jets, so, no it does not.

  • @Arch and Dio, As complicated as these jets are, you'll find a lot of planes are not so much about brains and more about getting the feel of the craft - my brother's flight instructor told us this, and although I've never flown real planes (RCs, and Combat sims), I can say that's a good way of putting it.

I used to be hopeless at playing Wings of Prey in sim mode, but after some practice it's like second nature to me. However, my chair feels nothing like a real plane, so I can't really fly yet.

  • "This note takes place at a work-in-progress version of the new Nevada (Nellis AFB) terrain. We wanted to give you a little preview of this new terrain even though it is incomplete. No noise map yet and some issues with close range shadows."

We waiting too much for this terrain ;) and for scripts file documentation to employ new weapons so this is not black shark to do weapons mod easyli.

  • i think il press e lol

  • OMFG

    I want it

    now

    immediately

  • @FlashFWD this game is free I think on their website lol

  • how did u learn how to even do this ?

  • @Superjazzz Or an F-22, F-16 or AH-64. All three are in service.

  • how can you use the camera like in this video?

  • @QualityCompare

    He probably is using trackir.

  • sounds like matt damon

  • @hawkplaya94 I know for a fact that most RAF forces that are required to scramble can get in the air within 5-10 minutes and can be at any part of the U.K within around half an hour if not far less. I'm sure the U.S is very similar. Rapid response squadrons such as the 621st Contingency Response Wing in america has a responsibility to Nasa to be able to get to nasa launches at a moments notice in order to protect them. They have (prepared)jets that can be started in less than a minute for this.

  • no do an S-3 viking or somethin like that, NAVY!!

  • how would you do that when you have to scramble?

  • @hawkplaya94 I believe that in a situation where an aircraft is likely to get 'scrambled' the sub-systems are already set and ready to go, the engine just needs to be started, in some situations I think the engine is kept at a low ground idle when there is a high chance of it needing to 'scramble'. But keep in mind this was a tutorial and in the real situation the Pilot would have these drills well rehearsed and would therefore complete them much faster. Hope that helps.

  • Great, this is really impressive! I have ordered the sim, will be doing some flying within a few days, cant wait! :)

  • how do you pan the camera around?

  • @iZahik Track-IR

  • you must be a pilot :)

  • Do you really have to turn so many switches in th A10? I mean before you start, you are aleady dead while your turning all this stuff on.

  • @Vitahero Stop paying attention to shit like Call of Duty, or Battlefield when learning about war.

  • Where is the CD-Player in the cockpit?

  • You can play this game with no joystick. Keyboard use is okay.

  • can you play the game with no joystik?

  • @logixx87 I am and I understood like 3 things he said

  • From what simulator is this??

  • @ArtemisFour DCS A-10C Warthog

  • @ArtemisFour

    dcs a-10c

  • I bought the game. I crashed on the runway 30 minutes later.

  • @humanvegetable: That's the story of anyone playing a flight sim without good experience first. :P

  • I think i will invent a push button start like my friend has in his lexus.

  • @Superjazzz Good idea Jazz; while you're at it, the F-16 aswelll!!!

  • wold my saitek s290 pro joystick work for tis game?

  • dammit never new about this DCS series, man! im so excited to get it! i used to fly fsx fighter but nothing compared to this!

  • @Superjazzz

    please dont... F-18 Superhornet

  • Google "Pilot Homer" and click the first link.

  • If I tried playing this game, it would be like when Homer Simpson was a pilot and he pushed a button and his co-pilot said, "No, we need that to live." Then he pushed another button and then the wheels retracted and the plane fell while it was still parked.

  • When the BIT Was ran why didn't the ailerons move?

  • waiting for this to download on steam now, I should just be patient and do something else instead of watching videos about it lol

  • @1CaptainAustralia1 It's hard not to watch something while downloading...

  • Fantastic and very professional video. I don't own this game yet but I'm very close to buying it! :)

  • @jlebesis haha yeah me too ;) i´ve read somewhere they are planning a "afghanistan" map style as a DLC or patch. Im gonna buy it, if that that happens. Or steam price drops from 49,99.

Awesome alternative to my Fs9.1 PMDG simualtor which is only used for general aviation and not military flights.

Great vid btw. Love trackir :D

  • @owner0007 its on sale for 33 atm

  • Are you a pilot IRL ?

  • Nice work, I dont have this sim yet but your helping to sell me on it

  • f22 next lol

  • My specs are Q6600 @ 3.2GHz, 4GB Ram, and GTS 250 1GB. What kind of FPS could I expect on high settings at 1920x1080 resolution?

  • Can you perform a dual engine light up?

  • @Superjazzz As far as I'm aware they are indeed working on more content in the DCS series, however the current focus is on land attack aircraft, so F-15 is not likely any time soon.

  • @bbelilovsky Janes F15 was immensly popular... so much so, that when Falcon 4.0 came out, they decided not to follow up with a MiG-29. Instead, do to popular demand, the F-15E Strike Eagle was chosen... unfortunately Microprose went under before completion. I very much wish DCS would follow up A-10C with the F-15E!!!! Such a beatiful aircraft with plenty of ground attack capabilities!!!

  • eat you heart out xbox 360!

  • I would totally crash this thing before I even got into the air

  • Thanks both for replys, lol i just thought it was akeyboard command or something :p

  • How do you look around the cockpit like that so freely? Ive been using ctrl+c because my laptop doesnt have a dedicated numberpad like a normal keyboard.

  • @JHayesAVFC

I've asked the same questeion a moment ago and found something.

-google trackIR and look for a company named NaturalPoint

(sry couldn't poste the link here, dunno why)

  • @JHayesAVFC He's likely using TrackIR, or maybe even FreeTrack. They're head tracking devices/software, which lets you control your in-game view with your head.

  • lets go ahead and......

  • Who dislikes this???? This is a helpful video.. Thank you for making this!

  • thumbs up if the first thing you'd do is pull the ejector seat.

  • man u got a chicklist in ur hand lol good job its an awsome vedio

  • man u have a checklist in ur hand lol good job awsom vid

  • is this licensed from fairchild?

  • @Superjazzz that would be awsome =)

  • 8 people can't remember how to start up the a-10.

  • Hollllllly sh*t!! this is F***king real thing!!

  • This game is not available in the UK.

Lol what are they saying, the british people might just get there hands on one of these and steal it.

Really how stupid are these people who decide I mean hasn't this video just shown me everything i need to see if this is the reason why we cannot own it?

    Please someone enlighten me please.

Wow what a dictatorship country we live in.

  • @tonybastholm

I'm pretty sure the reason is because of financial / legal / any other issues with selling it in the UK, and it was a decision completely on the Developers, nothing to do with your / my government

I'm very sure it has nothing to do with military information

Just pirate it or something, it's already on the pirate bay. I don't usually support the pirating of games, but since you can't purchase it anyways it's not like they're losing a sale.

  • yes yes yes... but can it blend?

  • One of, if not THE, best simulation programs on the market.

  • Want to learn to fly a jet from home on your fat ass? Buy DCS A-10C Warthog, now including 6 hours of "Why the fuck isn't this sucking fucking jet starting?!" and a net cockpit switch, the "space time continuum" which you must set to "true", then hop on one leg around the Warthog while balancing a marble on your nose. THEN...Then you can take off.

  • No pilot?? Thats your comment, Roman? No pilot? LMAO What a tard!

  • @jerrylive365 you know what i mean, you should see legs and arms like in real life. the buttons wont turn by invisible force like in here. unless if there is a magneto who doesn't have legs and arms and can control metal switches :)

  • nice good graphic and no shit on the screen while playin like life and ammunition BUT no fuckin pilot? what a fuckin joke, made the whole game about A-10 very detailed and no pilot

  • These guys should get together with the makers of ArmA sometime...

  • If you guys want max seat height, pull that little yellow leaver juusstttt next to the seat, itl make it perfect =P

  • Scary. And fascinating. :-)

  • finaly real simulator ! black shark was good to !

  • That seat height is so cool, 1970 aircraft even has comfortable seats! Great video and what a sense of realism.

  • its not a game, this is reality!11

  • @theAva2000

If you weren't paying attention, he said you could either start in the Air, on the Runway, or like this.

  • @theAva2000

This is a simulator not a game

if you want a combat flight game to relax play H.A.W.K's

  • perfect game for Al Qaida

  • It is rather hard at first to learn it all, yes, but if you're like me, a future A10 pilot, this is a very good start and would be of use in your future real life training (well at least I think it would be) so grab that manual and start vacuuming those instructions! Oh by the way, It might be from my joystick, but when I'm flying with the Hog it ALWAYS starts to lean to the left, almost as if I'm pushing on my joystick, whilst it's actually centered. Any help would be appreciated!

  • @Kryndon64 I just got the sim and haven't looked at all of the options yet but there may be a joystick dead zone setting, just turn that up. If there isn't you may be able to calibrate it in windows.

  • @Kryndon64

Some Joysticks have software to support it (with drivers and button-customization software)

Can be found in "control panel" go there, and look if you can find a setting for you joystick.

If you found the right setting-menu or joystick software, look for calibration.... perhaps you will see that your joystick has a pref for left by default....

  • @PredatorYT Thanks for your info, and to the guy before who replied to me, but I found a way to fix my problem. See, when I relax my hand over the joystick, it moves a little bit to the left, because it's been used so much so it's getting a little glitchy in the joystick mechanics, soo, to counter that, I went into the DCS options, selected my rudder yaw left/right joystick axis and tweaked with the deadzone, so now when I leave my hand on the joystick, the plane doesn't respond to my input! :D

  • I was hoping for a power button that I press and then I push the joystick forward, but that's just me.

  • äh Comander..its a game ..LET ME FLY! i want action^^

  • Aw man, no push start button?

  • this is amazing ;0 i've been practicing my ramp start all day, and thanks to your tutorial on atc or w.e its called with the air traffic control and radio thing i was finally able to take off. great videos man. I'm learning fast.

  • this could probably be used as the A-10 sim for actual USAF A-10 pilots in training, because it is so comprehensive! well done guys seruiously!

  • This video. Teaching people how to steal an A-10C since 06/29/2010

  • @ZzRvXzZ

in this case they forgot the one & most important tutorial of them all :

how to break into a cockpit without smashing the window ?

  • @ZzRvXzZ It is the game that teaches you... Virtually every button in that cockpit can be toggled.

  • @ZzRvXzZ Lol yeah, really. What if I "got lost" and "wandered" onto an air field and "found my way" into an A-10 that was fueled and ready to go? I talked about this with my aerospace engineering teacher and we both agreed that while unspeakably illegal and most likely ending in death, it would be amazing.

  • @ZzRvXzZ

I don't think you can steal a A-10 because it takes too much time to make all checks, start engies,... as you see in this video. But perhaps there is also a "start in the air button". ;-)

    Question to all:

Can you please tell me if you can also click with the mouse on the buttons in the cockpit like in the game DCS Black Shark or do you have to do all these things with the keyboard keys. I can't see any mouse cursor in this video.

  • @ZzRvXzZ 10 people failed to steal a A-10C after watching this video

  • @ZzRvXzZ Good luck trying to fly it after you put it on...

  • @ZzRvXzZ OMG! I'm dangerous then...

  • I use a X-52 Pro HOTAS w/pedals and resort to Right Alt + Home and Right Ctl + Home for engine start as there's only one throttle control on the X-52. The TM HOTAS has two throttles but no pedal support AFAIK.

  • Is anyone having trounle unpausing the game? I just downloaded it and can't even unpase to start mission. Please help with what to press.

  • @xplicitkillr Pause/Unpause should be Pause/Break as noted on screen. If that doesn't work I'm not sure what may be the issue.

    Good Luck

  • cool vid well done great job in showing ow to start a A-10)

  • cool vid

  • iv done all this but i cant get the throttles to move im using a x52 pro stick thats works fine in the turorial but the throttles just dont movewhich buttons can i use instead?

  • Wow, you skipped so much...

  • I get 24 - 60 fps with my PC with the shadows medium, view distance medium and scenerly complexity low. The low fps are when very low to a city. Most of the time its around 40fps. its a dual threaded sim that runs better if you install the 64bit version.

    i7 2.5Ghz

    6GB dominator Ram

    GTX 260 black

    X-fi titanium sound card.

  • please post more "how to" videos! how to use all the diff gadgets in the cockpit!

    ...hehehehe..I said cockpit.

  • can somebody show me a Pc that will run this game ?

  • DCS does not cost $60 to use it also costs £1000 for a computer £350 for the A-10 controls, £130 for the trackIR thats for a desktop PC but for the cockpit that moves and the intructor room your talking another million pounds. DCS software itself is much cheaper than older simulator software because it is also sold to the public. Sega once made a game costing 20 million but because they sold many copies it could be sold at £30.

  • Eagle Dynamics made DCS A-10C for the US Military to train the next pilots and to train up prevous pilots on the new version with an agreement that they could also sell it to the public. The reason the military chose DCS is because they were very imnpresed with Lomac ED's other simulator.

DCS has simulation settings and gamer settings so you can fly it with enemy lables or without.

  • I find it very frustrating without TrackIR I got that on order theirs too much looking arouund at cockpit panels. iIts like your flying a plane and flying your head at the same time.

  • does the A-10 come with the game or do you have to download it?

  • are u guys using just a regular pc or a joystick with this game?

  • @gighalo This is a simulator. Not a game (although there might be a game-mode if thats what you mean). I think the engine is updated and optimized but still probably needs a lot of CPU - i think. Most people flying in simulators have HOTAS (stick and throttle joysticks). Cheaper ones are Saitek X52 for example and its really good for starters. You really need a HOTAS to properly enjoy the sim. So many buttons and switches and gauges. :)

  • @i7fan This is a game, not a simulator.

  • @G1N0L4T1N0 It is a simulator. I heard the military uses it.

  • @G1N0L4T1N0 @TheLautenbag It's both a game and a simulator.. While I haven't heard of the military using it, I suppose they could; although, the government probably uses simulators that costs MUCH more than $60... however a simulator or simulation is a game genre. Such as The Sims, etc. So technically, it is a 'simulator' so to speak.

  • @DylnCox Techincally correct. Real flight simulators though are genereally devices worth millions of dollars. DCS could be classified as a desktop trainer.

  • @DylnCox Techincally correct. Real flight simulators though are genereally devices worth millions of dollars. DCS could be classified as a desktop trainer.

  • @G1N0L4T1N0 That's a better description :)

  • @gighalo I can't speak for what these developers are using, but I would definitely recommend a joystick. Judging from the way the view is looking, I'd guess that he's also using TrackIR. TrackIR is a head-tracking program that lets you "look" around. TrackIR is a must-have!

  • I'd rather use this game for the inbuilt computer(in the panel)...

It can be programmed as EFI!

  • @Razor1896 Don't worry, there is a 'game (pussy) mode' for all aspects of the game. Really tho if you dont want the full clickable cockpit and all the realism you would be better off with LOMAC FC2 - its compatible with DCS anyway.

  • Where do you plug in your iPod?

  • Cool, I've always wanted George Bush to teach me how to fly an A-10!

  • omg wow. Cannot wait for this game.

  • Anybody know where you can buy this game at? can't seem to find it. thanks

  • @superskidoos You may find DCS: A:10C, in it's open beta release stage at the "digitalcombatsimulator" website as stated in the video's description.

Just navigate to "products" and buy/ download it there. I do not believe a hard copy is available and I would expect it not to be until after the official release. Worth every penny if I may say. :)

  • @superskidoos Go to Google, type 'DCS A10', click on the eagle dynamics website, go to e-shop, buy game, crash plane, repeat.

  • This game looks EXTREMELY promising!

  • impressive ... great tutorial.

  • so how do u control this game? how do u choose what switch to flick? with mouse?

  • @walker2006au Yes

  • @walker2006au With your mind.

  • Ive mastered Submarine Sims. Time to master DCS Flight sims

  • man this game looks good so real i am a Sim nut idk why i didn't get any of the dcs games i should maby after christmas

  • Dcs is the Sh$&. There quickly taking over the combat flight simulation market. And what puts the icing on the cake is all there products are compatible in multiplayer. I've been a flight simmer for years and nothing comes close to black shark or a-10. If you can afford it help keep these guys in buissness.

  • real simmers manual start their planes

    others play starfox

  • Damn that looks like a lot to keep track of. And even today none of this can be automated?

  • Goddamn that looks like a lot to keep track of. And even today none of this can be automated?

  • Can you track your camera with the mouse and not just with Track IR

  • @chrisakky in blackshark, yes. i think this is similar.

but i will use freetrack soon:D i can't wait to try it with BS :)

it's like track ir, but it's free (google it:) it's worth it)

  • @shadowgn Just set the IR filter on the web cam so its ready to go...

    Just need the game now.

  • Dis he say "press KEY to start everything automatically"? What is "Key"? Or did he mean "K"? Clarification appreciated, many thanks.

  • @Bahger in black shark it was I think WIN LOGO+HOME or something like that ... IDK because i always went thru manual startup

  • Ugh blasted iPhone auto correct, anyway thanks for the info faabound.

  • Thanks for the details fashions, maybe the photo I saw of an a-10 inside a transport plane was damaged and being flown out that way?

  • This is basically the flight simulator Ive always dreamed of, amazing!

  • what game is this?

  • That's incredible, and incredibly complicated :D I still haven't figured out how to manually start up the KA-50 ...

  • @LJFHutch KA-50 is abit more complex - but just run through it a few times, and get one of those offline PDF checklists to help you out. Took me a few days to get every step rigth every time. Dont give up though :)

  • lucky american

  • if this had been around when i first discovered flight simulators, i'd have been found in my chair, dead from starvation. smile on my face though.

  • Sure, but where do I put my coffee?
