I said nothing about CO2. A common misconception is that all arguments of pro global warming relate to CO2 emissions. In your first argument you say that there is no such thing as global warming, and give and example. I show the reasoning behind how there could still be global warming, and how it would affect the global climate. There are other arguments for global warming than CO2 out there.

I still give this theory a lot of credence based on the scientific facts that the sun absolutely effects temperatures on all planets. Even to someone with no interest in science the theory seems quite logical. But actually getting anyone to take notice of it is nearly impossible which also reminds me when the powers of the day refused to contemplate the earth was round.

It's easy to grow. It requires little fertilizer, and can have multiple harvests in the growing season in the southern regions of the US. You can also make paper, very good paper, that requires less chemicals to produce, as opposed to wood pulp. The oils in the plant can be used to make paint. Why not cotton? Well, cotton requires more fertilizer and also has a pest, the boll weevil, which requires toxic pesticides to keep under control.

This is exactly what scientists have done and they have found that the level of CO2 in the atmosphere is now higher than it has been in a million years, and the 5 warmest years on record have fallen within the last decade and isotopic analysis confirms that the excess CO2 in the atmosphere has come from the burning of fossil fuels. That's why there is a virtual consensus in the scientific community.
Perhaps YOU should look at Earth's history. Yes, CO2 is higher thatn it has been in the last million years. But the temperature isn't the highest? How is this possible? I thought CO2 directly caused global warming.
When in fact, if you bother to look at the relationship between atmospheric carbon dioxide and surface temperatures, you'll notice that temperature increases first, and CO2 levels rise 300-800 years after as a result.
The proxy record you refer to was used in a paper that published that information and it also stated that this had happened in the southern hemisphere. However C02 levels in the northern hemisphere preceded warming. Check Caillon et al, Science vol 299, 2003.

actualli there is no such thing as global warming. Last winter it snowed more than ever in idaho,and some other cities in some other states. If you looked at the hottest temps ever you can see they're farther away than today. times in which we didn't have big co2 makers.

I said nothing about CO2. A common misconception is that all arguments of pro global warming relate to CO2 emissions. In your first argument you say that there is no such thing as global warming, and give and example. I show the reasoning behind how there could still be global warming, and how it would affect the global climate. There are other arguments for global warming than CO2 out there.
P.S, While I am still confused as to what a fallacy is, your argument is more of one than mine.

yes there are other global warming theories but how many? 4 more? theres only two existing theories the sun is warming the earth and green house emission. it used to be also a hole in the ozone layer but that was forgotten by the mainstream because of the fact nasa said that the tests performed were inacurrate and it was normal to have some holes in the earth and some increase it was all due to methane wchich from time to time has bigger pressure than nitrogen.

I still give this theory a lot of credence based on the scientific facts that the sun absolutely effects temperatures on all planets. Even to someone with no interest in science the theory seems quite logical. But actually getting anyone to take notice of it is nearly impossible which also reminds me when the powers of the day refused to contemplate the earth was round.
I'm not saying its fact, I'm saying its a theory that certainly merits some serious study rather being dismissed outright.

If the right took a realistic and pragmatic approach to problems instead of protecting the status guo of the industries that politically supprort them, we would have realized more viable energy alternatives and more efficient use of existing energy sources years ago. It's easy to grow. It requires little fertilizer, and can have multiple harvests in the growing season in the southern regions of the US. You can also make paper, very good paper, that requires less chemicals to produce, as opposed to wood pulp. The oils in the plant can be used to make paint. Why not cotton? Well, cotton requires more fertilizer and also has a pest, the boll weevil, which requires toxic pesticides to keep under control.

Why should there be a hurricane for New Orleans every year? Global warming was not "switched on" in 2004. But because of it such storms are likely to increase in ferocity and frequency.
Again, why shouldn't the US be snowed under? It always has been. Global warming was not "switched on" in 2004. It does however, explain why the snowpack in the Rocky mountains is declining year on year, causing water shortages in Western states which will only increase in coming years.

Government action is required to wean nations off requiring oil and coal, for example expanding nuclear and wind power.
A carbon ration is likely to be implemented, and it is essential that oil drilling be gradually reduced to a minimal level, perhaps none at all if possible.

This is exactly what scientists have done and they have found that the level of CO2 in the atmosphere is now higher than it has been in a million years, and the 5 warmest years on record have fallen within the last decade and isotopic analysis confirms that the excess CO2 in the atmosphere has come from the burning of fossil fuels. That's why there is a virtual consensus in the scientific community.

Perhaps YOU should look at Earth's history. Yes, CO2 is higher thatn it has been in the last million years. But the temperature isn't the highest? How is this possible? I thought CO2 directly caused global warming.
When in fact, if you bother to look at the relationship between atmospheric carbon dioxide and surface temperatures, you'll notice that temperature increases first, and CO2 levels rise 300-800 years after as a result.

The proxy record you refer to was used in a paper that published that information and it also stated that this had happened in the southern hemisphere. However C02 levels in the northern hemisphere preceded warming. Check Caillon et al, Science vol 299, 2003.

We haven't started on Mars yet either. Pollution is a problem that IS BEING ADDRESSED mostly on a global scale in due course developing countries will doe better at addressing it too. I, and others, can NOT agree that AGW is more than statistically insignificant. Much of the IPCC's data sets bare this out and close scrutiny of its methods and assumptions are refutable as unscientific. The Democratic Party is now using it as a tool to garner votes. The effect of this campaigning will cause acceleration of the movement even further from the principals of science. In the sphere of political influence, truth plays a small roll. It is the perception, not the data that counts.

IPCC is the synthesis of a multitude of disciplines of science, many sciences of which came to the same conclusion: there is a distinct and measurable effect from our emissions of CO2 on climates. The IPCC was formed to inform policy makers. What they do from there on out is up to policy makers. But until the science states otherwise, the IPCC will continue to warn about CO2 emissions.

And the only reason Gore went to Vanderbilt was to get out of his 2 year Vietnam tour 2 months early.

Soon as he got done with the one year scholarship at the college was over, he left. (i.e. He didn't flunk out)
Anyways, it also looks like the school was located right where Tipper Gore (his reciently married wife) lived.
So not suprisingly he didn't pay much attention in class for that one year he was there.

Warming is occuring b/c of the sun and solar activity.
Who are the real scientist? The ones that go off consensus, right. The ones that make it politics not science anymore.

Furthermore, ozone holes appear b/c of lack exposed sun in those areas.
The evidence that AWG points to human is still unfounded and is quite arrogant to think we are the major problem.
Think for minute, can we ever get the models right, NO.
I remember 30 years ago hearing about the big freeze.
Here something to think about: Don't you think that maybe all the CO2, methane, sulfur,etc.. act as the earths natural feed back, thermastat?
