  • Hey. Thanks for posting - my Dad was in your Great Uncle's band.

  • This is my great uncle Borrah, brother to my Grandma Ida!!! On my Dad's side.....my 1st cousin Peter Borrah is an exec producer of Bernie Mac, Two and Half Men, and Seinfeld. My dad before he died sent me a set of albums of Uncle Borrah, fascinating to watch as I look like him an dmy dad.

  • It would be rather fun to try and replicate that today with modern harmonicas!

  • Are these guys playing toaster ovens? Oh, right, they didn't have toaster ovens back then...

  • This is wonderful on many levels. It's even interesting to see that the group was racially integrated -- and the African American was NOT the butt of the jokes!

  • Surprised no one recognizes "Bugle Call Rag."

  • Amazing!!!

  • A voir le chef d'orchestre, je me dis qu'on allait d'jà cherché le cid' à la cave en 42....

  • nice coat he has on there, any one have an information about where to acquire such an article of clothing?

  • Another movie I must find for my collection! My dad, Dave Doucette, was with Borrah for many years before moving on to legendary status as arranger and lead harmonicist for Johnny Puleo. Dave is pictured here, playing Bass on the left. I never got to meet Borrah, but grew up with Johnny & The Gang. What great years those were!

  • @argonaut815 that must have been great to meet Puleo and the guys. He was active way into the 90's. He used to go and bite the other players on the leg and bring the house down.

  • GENIUS! I love every second of this.. bring back the harmonica ensemble!

  • AWWWWWWWESOME, just AWWWWWWWESOME..... THANKS....

  • BORRAH, were you are on the musical spheres of tthe universe, we don't forget you met on Empire Theater Paris for TV French show 1953&1954 : La Joie de Vivre Larry Adler-we were young and started playing-and take yours all technics You are our Big Master for all of US-You take a rest since 1955 to the "PERE LACHAISE" n°4447 PARIS-and we come to collect us and to thank you for your Great Gift to play thos marvelous instruments : Harmonica-our best thoughts : Maurice Bernard Michel = THE HOTVILLS

  • What happened to the beautiful rendation of "always in my heart"

sung by the beautiful Mexican group. I can't find it anymore, It was the song

that gave me tears of joy for my son Joseph who passed away

3 years ago. Someone please help me find it.

  • @sweetheartjld You might try searching for the song title in Spanish "Siempre En Mi Corazon". The song was written by the legendary Cuban composer Ernesto Lecuona. Rest In Peace Joseph...

  • @sweetheartjld If you search this exact title & spelling on You Tube, this might be it:

    Always in My Heart_Harmonicas.AVI

  • Dwarf slapping?

  • Borrah Minevitch is my great uncle, as his sister was my grandmother! I have several albums of his, and the stories that side of the family told. Found out later my grandmother was very jealous of his talents as she wanted to become an actress! And he arrived in the US at Ellis Island in 1906, and on my sister's birthday Sept. 14! Although I did not inherit his musical skills, his great great nephews Andy and Alex did!

  • WOW! Here's a real find, thanks :)) Rich

  • I a perfect world I would walking in on this kind of thing happening all the time.

  • I haven't see anything this good on MTV. Awesome!

  • @yohnh

although mtv stands for music television, I can't really say it sends out music...

  • Damn, damn damn damn.

    This is god's harmonica group.

    DAMn.!

  • Super awesome!!!

  • now this is creativity^^

  • barrah bem loca hahaha

  • Borrah had more moves than a distillery tomcat. And he could recite the Bible with nothing more than facial expressions. Why Hollywood didn't use him more is beyond me.

  • They rock!

  • Oh My God can it get any better Thanks B.C.

  • My Dad is Frank Marquis and took over for Borrah way back when "god he was great"

  • This is some awesome playing.

  • Fabulous!! Thanks.
