  • i thought shikakai was a cleanser, not a conditioner. im confused.............

  • @MsUMMATI it is ! it is a powder, but in the beginning pls follow well, i mix it with CONDITIONEr, that's why i talk about my conditionning treatment (the whole stuff)

  • Salut Nunaa!!!

  • hey nunaa, do you see any breakage in your hair if you leave the hair out and brush against ur clothes? I was just worried about that myself. Do you think wearing a silk or satin scarf around the neck and back should prevent that? Merci bcp pour la video et votre temps, nous apprecions ca.

  • @Akilahfoye i NEVER BRUSH MY HAIR ! NEVER ! My hair is too fine to brush, sorry

I am not sure how a scarf would prevent that

  • @nunaavane no, i didn't mean an actual brush, i mean your ends touching, sliding or brushing against the material of your clothes. My hair is fine too and i get lots of split ends when I wear it down especially in winter when i wear alot extra clothes that snag my ends.

  • @Akilahfoye From what I have read and seen from a lot of girls with hair that is just about shoulder length in that "danger zone", they do not wear their hair out or down very often. It's either kept up in a bun or in a high pony or some other style until the ends grow past that crucial length. Also they pay very very close attention to their ends. Extra moisture or sealing or whatever they used to help prevent snags and breaks.

  • @Akilahfoye i sooooooooo CO--SIGN with what hellonessa said ! keep your hair off during this period ! i wore so many buns it was crazy, lol, but i love them a lot !

  • will using this powder cause the hair to darken?

  • @yagirltwin yes ! it will bring you brown reflects, more or less dark depending on your initial color

  • Hey Nunaa, thanks for doing this video! You just reminded me to start using my ayuverdic powders. Indian powders do work, watch my Relaxed to Natural video to see the evidence. Since I'm on a mission to get my hair thicker, I will go back to using ayuverdic powders again. Nice video!

  • did you not get my pm? I never got a response.

  • @naturalbornqueen hey sis, i had to look for it in my msg, i answered yesterday, got it?

  • I used henna but what a mess - I like how you really dilute the shikakai with conditioner - that probably cuts down on the messy goob :)

  • @curliefro yes def, lol

  • hey nunaa I post a blog post on KISS regarding indian powder I did a special shot out to you cause you are the one they gave me the idea to try and thoses powders SAVE MY HAIR!!

and yes they are very drying BUT I always finished with a moisturizing conditioner.

  • Have you tried taking Biotin to help with the thickness? I started taking biotin on Jan 21, 2011 Ive been taking it consistently and I can see and feel a difference with my hair skin and nails

  • @ladyen7 i take it since the beginning of my hair journey :-)

  • @nunaavane I just started on 1.21.11... I'm loving it thus far for hair skin and nails

  • What was the name of the product Keratin with Green tea.... who makes it? And are you still using the gleau oil?

  • @MJKcakes Aphogee

  • @MJKcakes i keep my Gleau for summertime ! as light as my grapeseed oil ! pure love ! lol

  • @MJKcakes It's by the Aphogee line

  • u should do some modelling..u have very nice facial features.

  • @goddessieasha :-) thank youuuu

  • Thanks girl. Can you do a review on the giovanni? I really wanted to try that one. Unless you already did it. Goes to check..

  • @whitemenaresexy i will but i always give about 2 to 3 months of use to a product before i review it

  • Can you put the shikakai powder in your shampoo?

  • @lush4real never heard of that mix

  • @nunaavane lol idk because I heard somewhere that you could use it instead of shampoo or sth :-/

  • I been using shikakai powder since I saw your video on it last year. I do like the results right now I am using it once a month so far so good. Hoping to increase to 2x a month since I am on a BSL journey and I am almost there.

  • @cadou27 you'll be there, you'll reach your goal no time

  • heyy where can these oils and Powder be purchased??

  • @SweetSavior18 online, amazon or google them

  • Now that you are texlaxing how does your texlaxed hair airdry? I have been texlaxing about 80% straight since January 2010. My texlaxed hair will only air dry straight if I put it in rollers and then airdry like that. Otherwise when it dries it can look as if it is natural. When I am too lazy to set it or go under the dryer, I will wait until it is 70-80% dry and then I will put it in two cornrows and wear a braid-out the next day. My hair is really fine so texlaxing works for me. I

  • @carolyn198205 my texlax roots are thick, soft ! i love it ! the giovanni i use is making my ng very soft & manageable so far, hope it will still do the trick after 10 weeks post, lol

cosign with that "My hair is really fine so texlaxing works for me"

  • You used indian powers for a while and i see you have great results. This is something i must try

    Great vid Nunaa

Bisous.
