I am not praising Ashcrofts beliefs in any way without my conscience getting in the way, but that Ashcroft is a brilliant sounding sociopath. The fact is not that he is fear mongering so much as how soothing and reassuring his speech sounds, not only on the intellectual level, but so much on the emotional level. Few people would be able to tell he is not being sincere, but when you hear him say ... TERRORISTS you can just feel that chill go down your back. Ashcroft is a master manipulator.

@Darkninja105 does the mainstream media EVER tell you or encourage you to research for yourself and ask questions? No, I don't mean go to your favorite guru's website, I mean actually going to libraries and researching. When do you ever hear that sort of encouragement from the mainstream media? I bet if you do find some of it there, it's minimum and only on certain issues.

But your skepticism is so narrowly tuned that you only accept what you find palatable and sane. Does it make you feel good being wrapped in a safe little cocoon of denial? @Darkninja105 Next time you see a headline that exposes government corruption, think to yourself, "For just this one person or group of people that got caught, how many more get away with their criminal behavior? Is this crime an isolated case? How long have they been getting away with this?" Rely on the main stream media all you want, but when you lose YOUR rights, don't say nobody tried to warn you.
