i've tried out my own little tuning set up for this, it's for begginers, and drifts pretty well, atleast like 50k, on stage d, my silvia does over that quite easily, but it's pretty neet, lol. Not as good as Takumi though lol
Thank you guys for all the nice comments. Sorry i have not made any videos in... a LONG time but i will surely start them again really really soon. School has just been a bit of a problem nowadays. Be sure to subscribe for upcoming videos!
@JoakimFA hey, man nice vid, little tip, lower horsepower and try going downhill, downhill helps with steering controll and reaction time, flat ground is best for working on throttle control ;)
my GT is M107Sniper50Cal...
try my tune, its got 237HP, and it's just fine for downhill, it took me months to tune that, so i'm sure it'll help ;)
try tuning your 86 to 150hp with no weight decreasing upgrades. then give it better transmission and clutch. after that, you will have a better drifting 86 for the downhill. i tuned mine that way and i got the best time and points (4min 30sec; 52,846 points)
The physics do not actually change. It is the switch from static to kinetic friction that you feel. So, to answer azn069's question, no it does not change the physics or vehicle control. What you do have to manage is that threshold or balance between throttle and steering angle to keep the back end out while maintaining momentum and control.
na-ah u drift like me relying on ur settings not the E-brake or reverse anyone who can do that is stronger in my book than any one else that makes u *kinda* close to takumi...
yerr ur a pretty good drifter seeing ur a begginer :D ive been playing forza since 2007 ive had forza motorsport, forza motorsport 2 & now fm3 also, xbox live expired but getting it soon so im looking forward to creating videos too :)
your not drifting close enough to the inside or outside rails, and your not driving clutch therefore your not using takumi's rear understeer technique. dont slap initial d on it just cause your driving an AE86.
@gorrilaunit99 i kinda agree. but cut the man some slack. it was still a great video. but i bet that my 150 horsepower AE86 can beat his on the old down hill XD. not even my friend who uses proper drift cars can beat it on the down hill XD. i know it sounds ridiculous, but it's the truth.
@gorrilaunit99 Lol correct me if i'm wrong but Ryosake *Cant spell his name * Was saying during the Battle Between Takumi and Toro (Red MR2) That Takumi and Toro are Driving Overpowered FR's, So they were using the Throttle Technique where you accelerate the whole drift?
What he means is the physics engine throws mad different variables so you have to constantly change your steering angle and throttle to drift. It doesnt change the way NFS throws the physics engine out of the window when your enter drift mode. forza 3has the same physics in drift and racing
@azn069 Stays the basically...there are no drift assists or drift modes in the game, and with TCS,STM & ABS off its just you and the car...no computers :)
@azn069 Stays the same buddy...there are no drift assists or drift mode in the game, providing you disable TCS, STM & ABS, and use Manual Gearbox, its just down to you and the car... computer controls only the game
@azn069 wether your doing a regular race on live or an actual drift event, the physics are the same, just don't use race tires, it changes the physics of all cars
what tyres are u using? stock, street or racing?

It's possible, although it would not cover the head lamps, as it does in Initial D.

@JoakimFA thats why you just use black paint to cover the headlights

That's what I miss about the videos here on YT, featuring Shūichi Shigeno's 86 in GT5.
There are little to no videos here, even less featuring real drifting :<
Great video, just one thing...
Isn't Takumi actually driving downhill while Keisuke is for the uphill races?

Just one question, when you drift, does the game change the physics to make it easier, or does it stay the same?
