Very nice version. Combing the guitar with some of mandolin parts is a great idea. We all should add our own flair to songs and not try to do them exactly as they are recorded. (which is impossible anyway). Jimmy was always changing the way he played his stuff right? Hope to see more from you on here young lady. Great stuff.

Jimmy Paige is a master of dynamics,he uses volume and timing the same as a person does in a conversation that really brings a "voice" to his playing..and Robert Plant sings as if he is narrating a story which this song is about (their first trip to the US). They're a tough act to follow or imitate but also great teachers.

@Brawnyman2012 it is pretty hard at first but it gets easier I promise! I'm still working on it too. I've been playing music since I was like 7, but starting taking singing and playing at the same time more seriously for about 4-5 years.

I'd just gotten off work and I happen to really like nail polish right now :) But I do agree with you, this was the very first video I had ever done of myself playing (and I'd just learned to play the song) and I was really nervous! I am much more comfortable playing this song now than I was 8 months ago.

I was looking for music that I haven't heard in a long time. In doing so, I came across 4 other people that played "Going to California" and started listening to their performances. I was getting sick to my stomach when I heard three others, trying to play this song. However, when I listened to your version of this song, I was blown away. I had to call my wife, and tell her to come to my office and hear this for herself. I must have listened to your Masterpiece 6 times
You play the guitar wonderfully, and your voice is very nice as well. A very close friend , and mentor to me once told me that "There is nothing worse in life than wasted talent" I have tried listening to new artist on the radio, and on YouTube, and I have to say; "you got it.." Please don't waste your talent. Do whatever you have to do, to get recognized.

I was looking for music that I haven't heard in a long time. In doing so, I came across 4 other people that played "Going to California" and started listening to their performances. I was getting sick to my stomach when I heard three others, trying to play this song. However, when I listened to your version of this song, I was blown away. I had to call my wife, and tell her to come to my office and hear this for herself. I must have listened to your Masterpiece 6 times

You play the guitar wonderfully, and your voice is very nice as well. A very close friend , and mentor to me once told me that "There is nothing worse in life than wasted talent" I have tried listening to new artist on the radio, and on YouTube, and I have to say; "you got it.." Please don't waste your talent. Do whatever you have to do, to get recognized.
