  • WCOFTheology. You are not saved and cannot be saved. God has willed it this way. He predestined you to hell. Period. John 10:26. Tough. I am a real Calvinist. you are an imposter.

  • @Calvinismisbiblical3 You are an IDIOT!

  • Yes it seems certain American values were held in common with "Calvinism". However it seems Calvin's dictatorial governance over Geneva and the marred history of the MBC puritans and their banishments and burnings are far from American Values. I don't want to disparage Calvin or Calvinists over this, but you run the risk of looking Biased and dishonest if you don't concede the historic link between Theonomy and Calvinism.

  • Dr. D James Kennedy has a fantastic sermon talking about how Calvin and the Reformed-minded people laid the foundation for America. Most of the people over here at one time were Presbyterian, Reformed, Methodist, Moravian, Baptist, and a a few Methodistic Anglicans. America, America, God shed his grace on thee. And crown thy good with brotherhood, from sea to shining sea.

  • ‘I can never join Calvin in addressing his god…If ever man worshipped a false god, he did. The being described in his 5 points is not the God whom you and I acknowledge and adore; the Creator and benevolent governor of the world; but a demon of malignant spirit. It would be more pardonable to believe in no god at all, than to blaspheme him by the atrocious attributes of Calvin.’ [Letter to John Adams from Thomas Jefferson, April 11, 1823 in Jefferson: Writings, pg. 1466]

  • Americanism despises the Biblical God.

  • @ZenOtheEleatic "The Jefferson Bible, or The Life and Morals of Jesus of Nazareth, its formal title, was Thomas Jefferson's EFFORT TO EXTRACT THE DOCTRINE OF JESUS BY REMOVING SECTIONS OF THE NEW TESTAMENT containing supernatural aspects as well as perceived misinterpretations he believed had been added by the Four Evangelists" - "The Exaltation of a Reasonable Deity: Thomas Jefferson’s BIBLE of Christianity. (As told by: Dr. Patrick Furlong). Indiana University South Bend- Dept of History.

  • @ZenOtheEleatic quoted from a Satan worshipping Mason.

  • @ZenOtheEleatic

lol... one deist calling out another false Christian... ironic.

  • @droptozro deist? are you speaking of the God hating, Gospel smearing, Jesus slandering, American founding father Thomas Jefferson? I dont understand your little dig. besides, there is something very wrong with the term "deism" since there is no such thing as a true "organized religion." Those that exist are all false, and Christianity is not some man made institution/organization/declaration to be grouped with the other "religions," but the truth of God, and should be rightly called as such.

  • @ZenOtheEleatic

Yeah... you completely misunderstood my statement, it was in response to your quote from the founding father speaking against Calvin and his god--and the irony of it. I never spoke anything about you or WCOF in that comment.

  • @droptozro I am sorry, I did completely misunderstand your statement!

  • @ZenOtheEleatic

No problem, it's forgiven, never really took offense because I knew you had just misunderstood what I was replying to--text is easily misunderstood at times, God bless!

  • Americans: "Pride! Pride! Pride!"

    Gospel: Humility goeth before Pride

Blasphemy: "The constitution is on par with the Word of God! durrr"

  • @droptozro we move and breathe and have our being in God and he holds each atom up as if it were suspended from a string attached to his finger. we are here for one reason and one reason only, to do whatever his hand and his purpouse determined before to be done for his pleasure and his glory. not some wisdom in Christ and some in empiricism or some in humanism or some in science, but ALL the treasures of wisdom and knowledge are hidden in Christ, the Son of God, the eternal Logos.

  • @droptozro and you also lied about me. I never called this man a "false Christian" like you said. I hope he is a far better Christian than he cares about being American, as Americanism will pass away in the end. I said Americanism despises Calvinism, which is true, and Jeffersons quote supports it. To paraphrase a preacher, "EVERYTHING and ANYTHING GOOD in western society is a by product of the preaching of the Gospel of Christ."

  • This country never was founded on Christianity... so I have no issue hating Calvinism or the state of this country. It's even more proof that his teachings are false since they're what made this country what it is(being able to slay your enemies and revolt against the government, against multiple Scripture commands from Jesus and Paul)... I suggest you go watch a documentary called "The Hidden Faith of the Founding Fathers"---they denied Jesus' deity, the Holy Spirit and loved Thomas Paine.

  • @droptozro You can believe a lie if you want to.

  • @WCOFTheology

"You can believe a lie if you want to"

I recognize this so often, you guys posit that God decrees all and then you exit your worldview whenever you speak with someone who contradicts your theology(or unbelievers) in presuming we have the "want"(will) to believe what we want. Makes no logical sense for you to claim I can believe what I want and then adhere to your theology.

I guarantee you would never call our founders Christian, read their writings.

  • @droptozro "This country never was founded on Christianity..."

I doubt very much if the Puritans "loved Thomas Paine." You need to do your homework. The Puritans were staunch Calvinists. Have you even read the Mayflower Compact? God bless. Excellent video Jeff.

  • @ClarkianApologetics

Nope, don't care to read anything the Puritans had to teach/say/write---seen enough of their writings---they taught falsely and their fruit showed likewise when they persecuted others(like the Quakers, and no I'm not justifying anything of the Quakers either). I take Jesus' teachings from the Sermon on the Mount seriously and most Puritans did not that I've read about---I would NEVER kill or harm anyone even if it meant my death. Our Lord laid down His life, so do we.

  • @droptozro "Nope, don't care to read anything the Puritans had to teach/say/write..."

Whether you do or not THEY are the ones who founded our country and THEY were Calvinists.

  • @ClarkianApologetics

My point still stands probably--but I don't know every single individual Puritan so I wouldn't state it dogmatically... many of you only back it up because you affirm that you can completely disobey Jesus for your own autonomous reasons(killing, fighting, wars, oaths, armies). It's interesting because I wasn't even speaking of self-defense, but outright seeking to murder and persecute people who disagree with one's theology shows they're not of God.

  • @droptozro "but outright seeking to murder and persecute people who disagree with one's theology shows they're not of God"

Tell this to fractalfires. He wants to burn down Calvinist Churches, take away their right of free speech and put them in jail. Do YOU condone such behavior? We must defend our country and our freedom or people like Hitler will run rampant and THAT is NOT God's will for His people. He has given us governments to bear the sword. You obviously are prejudiced against Puritans.

  • @ClarkianApologetics

I'm not here to answer for or speak behind another's back--his issues are for himself to deal with and repent if he's made comments of that nature.

"we must defend our country and our freedom"

Where does Jesus ever command this? Do you seek to disobey Jesus and kill others to defend dirt?

The government has their authority, correct--but you do not.

I'm not prejudiced--I've read and seen, and judged properly after the facts were given. You've not shown me contrary.

  • @droptozro "I would NEVER kill or harm anyone even if it meant my death" Then you are an idiot! Sorry, If someone was raping and murdering my wife or children and I caught them in the act, they are DEAD! You have no concept of the mind of God!

  • @WCOFTheology

"Sorry"--shows you know it's against Jesus' words to pre-apologize.

"If someone was raping and murdering my wife or children... they are DEAD!"

This is why Calvinism is false, you seek to disobey Jesus on two accounts and show who your true lord is during persecution--and it's you,not Him. Matthew 5:38-48 are Jesus commands to love enemies and not resist evil men, how do you KILL an enemy and love him at the same time? Go to Luke 14:26 also friend...

  • @WCOFTheology ... Luke 14:26 shows you love your family MORE than God because you would disobey Jesus direct commands in Matthew 5 in order to save their lives and you cannot be His disciple. You can rebuke, run, pray, or stand in the way, call authorities--but I want the enemy to know God in heaven, not go to hell because I sent him there in the act.

Make sure you read the conclusion of beatitudes also, Matthew 7:24-29 shows if you don't obey--you're not on Jesus words, but sinking sand.

  • @WCOFTheology

"You have no concept of the mind of God"

On the contrary friend, I stand strongly on the Scriptures and Jesus' commands and let God take vengeance as commanded... who's mind are you aligning with? It shows you do not trust God at His Word that He will repay the wicked for persecuting the saints... think about these things, this is not a game--those are serious commands of Christ and if you seek to disobey them for this flesh, you may fall away during persecution.

    Romans 12.

  • "He who will not honor the memory and respect the influence of [John] Calvin knows but little of the origin of American liberty." - George Bancroft, 19th century American historian

  • yes I hate Calvinism, it is a cult and you know God is not about America, He came to save those from every tribe and tongue, it is wh so ever will believe

  • @mousey1952 So you hate America?

  • @1689Baptist YES, they hate this country, America, founded on the solid principles of Scripture as expounded by John Calvin. Because of this, they hate their children, they hate all that is good, but most of all, they hate the God of the Bible. They hate their fellow man, preaching lies and filthy treasonous filth to them - pretending to preach a gospel wherein is a jesus who is impotent and unable to save. Their jesus is a figment of their imaginations - they worship him to their destruction.

  • @mousey1952 You ignorantly hate what you do not know, because you sit with itching ears listening to an egotistical maniac who think he is some kind of god. You hate Calvinism, because there IS NO LIGHT IN YOU! Calvinism is Biblical Christianity, it speaks of the SOVEREIGN Grace of God. If you took time to read and study regarding what Calvinism actually is, instead of obeying your master when he says to "stay away from it", you might be able to understand the fundamental truths of Scripture.

  • @mousey1952 You come here and admit you hate the God of the Bible, We are very aware of the fact that you hate Jesus Christ, because the Christ you choose to follow fits YOUR idea of who He is, NOT Scripture's truth of who He is. You tell unsaved people, specifically homosexuals that God is not imputing their sin to them. THIS IS FLAGRANT BLASPHEMY! The Scriptures tell us to preach the LAW OF GOD to the unsaved, BECAUSE IT ACTS AS A SCHOOLMASTER to bring them to Christ. You are the cult, Madam!

  • @mousey1952 Yet, it was Calvinists who brought you the KJV that you so worship. I guess you hate the KJV too.

  • @theheat151 wrong calvinist brought me nothing, God is the One that preserves His Word, calvinist are a cult just like the mormans and islam.. by grace are we saved..to all who believe..you are so wrong a leading people astray..shame on you

  • Comment removed

  • @mousey1952 "you are so wrong a leading people astray..shame on you"

Yet, aren't you the one who promotes Easy-Believism? I have seen more people stray away because of Easy-Believism than anything else. Easy-Believism is cheap grace. Matter of fact, there is no grace in that system.

  • It is said that John Calvin was the actual founder of the United States of America. I believe this with all my heart.

Did you know that each state in the USA has it's own constitution. In the pre-amble to almost all of them, it states that NO ATHEIST can hold ANY government office. Today, the teenagers of this country do not even know what the Constitution is. They have no clue what an ammendment is and MANY have NEVER even heard of the Bible. They deny the founding principles of this country.
