  • The Andy Griffith Show is one of my favorite shows ever produced... and Im 16.

  • since when COPS are FUNNY?

  • The best comedian to ever draw a breath of air on this earth....

  • When Don Knotts left the Andy Griffith show with him went the heart and soul of this wonderful program.

  • Jesse Donald Knotts: You were one of a kind.

  • don knotts is the most underated actor of all time i think

  • @bullfrog1954 I agree. They don't make shows like this anymore, and it really is a shame. Everything these days have really been trashed up. It's characters like Barney Fife and Gomer Pyle that makes comedy comedy.

  • One of the BEST shows of ALL time! Nobody does it like this anymore, and it's a pathetic shame!! Now it's all sex and skimpy-dressed women-NO substance! Didn't need a TV rating system back then!

Barney Fife-one of the most memorable sidekicks ever!! We can ALL relate!

  • I love Barney! And "The Incredible Mr. Limpett!"

  • Got your bullet Barn?

  • When is John Waters get on the ball and direct The Don Kots Story with Steve Buschemi?

  • i wish comedy was still like this...

  • I think anyone who is thinking of buying a used car should have to watch the car episode....lol

  • "Boy, giraffes are selfish..." LOL

  • ANDY'S GONAN RUN HIS HAND UP THEMA LOU'S LEGS AT .50!

  • LMAO!!

  • the incredible mr limpett will never die.... thanks for putting this together.... nice job..... barney fife is off the hook..... R.I.P. Mr Knotts

  • Don Knotts was a comic genius. I especially like him in the "ghost and mr. chicken"

  • u should have put the one where barney was "saying" the preamble

  • Don Knotts will always be the most hilarious entertainer ever!! This series was probably the best for all time and ever!! When they brought this back / put it on cable, I about died laughing my a** off!!! Thanks for not letting it be forgotten!!

  • The best Barney Fife moment is when he is "teaching" Opie to use a slingshot and breaks that glass in the station. Then he says in the Bible, a slingshot was used by David to slay Goliath. Andy says it's just a sling and Barney gets frustrated as hell. For some reason I was laughing so hard I was in tears.

  • Don Knotts was definetly one of the funniest actors ever. ROTFLOL

  • Don Knotts was one of the greatest actors that ever lived.

  • This comedy team is just as good as the best like....Abbot and Costello or Laurel and Hardy.

  • WHY ARE THERE SO MANY OSTRICHES?! WHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY?

  • barney joins the choir is great!!! and barneys first car..

  • Andy was the original goof. The laugh-getter. But, when it had become apparent that Barney was really getting most of the laughs, Andy stepped back and became the straight man. Then the formula was complete. The writers must have had a ball writing material for Barney. Everything from the sidecar incident to citizen's arrest. And Barney's on-going attempt to be Jack Webb in Dragnet. This is classic comedy.

  • This was good but u missed two moments from "The Big House". One is the rules at the rock speech and the other is the gun speech at the end where he breaks the glass

  • ROFL! Thank you! I needed that. I love me some Fife!

  • Olá, amiga! muito lindo seu video parabens, fantastico.

Forte abraço daqui do BRASIL e fique com Deus.

    Att..........Juvenil.

  • anyone know the episode name where barney gets his car and its all messed up? i used to love that episode

  • ALRIGHT ALRIGHT ALRIGHT YOU SMELL GAS WHAT DO YOU THINK THIS CARS RUNS OUT OF? COAL? LOLOLOLOL

  • I'm watching a movie on t.v right now starring Don Knotts called "the reluctant astronaut" Based on that NAME along I knew this movie would be filled with the greatest sucker nervous lemon goofy actor of all time. And in fact, I don't think there will ever be an actor as good at playing a character as Don Knotts was at just being himself. An absolute legend and my favorite. Everything he says is funny. Everything.

  • This was great! Thanks for putting it together. Classic/ the gold stadard.

  • Thanks for the video. Some good memories of television that didn't require me to be fucked up beyond repair.

  • Wow someone after my own heart you have all my favorites thanks a million!!!!!!

  • @TheWorshiperofgod1 You're welcome my friend :) -Michael

  • @hwy61media lol," you smell gas of course you smell gas, what do you think this car runs on of, coal?" LOLOLOL. thanks for posting this.

  • Awesome video you put together for Don Knotts, Michael. A great tribute!!

Enjoyed very much, thank you? Love watching it over and over. He is so funny!

    Rita

  • My kids have fallen in love with the Andy Griffith show. Classic humor, and not lost on this generation.

  • @Susq15 I'm really happy to receive this comment. These shows must be preserved. -Michael

  • @Susq15 Good humor is NEVER lost! ... God bless your kids who have, well, TASTE! ;)

  • "The Loaded Goat" was maybe the best episode ever. I used to show it to sixth-graders in the year 2005 and they got it. Wonderfulness.

  • @morticity1 What a great idea! That's just the right age for this episode. Thanks for watching and commenting. -Michael

  • hey was the guy who was in the back of the car the actor for Data from Star Trek?

  • @Strymn tht is not data!!! -_-

  • @leonardnimoylover1 yeah thinking about it now i guess that's not even remotely possible...just kinda reminded me alot of him :-P thanks for clearing that up for me

  • you left the best part of the loaded goat out!

  • I'm thirteen and this is one of my favorite shows. LOVE IT! Don Knotts is pure walking talent. So is Andy...all the characters are great! We need more shows like this! Today's TV shows are trash. LONG LIVE THIS SHOW!

  • @TheSouthernSunshine1 That's great. It's good to see that the younger people like these classic shows. I was the same way when I was your age.

  • Don Knotts was a genius at comedy. He will be dearly missed. R.I.P., Barney.

  • That was a great man.

  • Barney plays a mean Harmonica!

  • they just don't make shows like this anymore.....most of the stuff on TV nowadays is junk.

  • for some reason, Sulley and Mike from Monsters, Inc. have always reminded me of Andy and Barney

  • oh, the Loaded Goat!! I LOVE that episode!!

  • Goat + Barney is Hilarious!

  • You did such a great job on this Michael, can watch it over and yet over again.

Just wishing you'll make another soon when you have time.

    Best always!

    Rita

  • I think 8 people need glasses badly they missed their mark, How can anyone thump down.

  • Hi Michael, this is just the very best tribute I've ever seen on you-tube, can't wait for you to make another one. I love Don Knotts he is just so hilarious and cute too.

    Have a great weekend!

    Rita

    cockadoodledoooooo.......

  • cocka-doodle-doo~

  • Nothing on TV today can remotely touch the brilliance and comedy of such shows as Andy Griffith.

  • Not sure who decided these were the "funniest" moments, but that person obviously has no concept of humor or familiarity with the comic brilliance of the Andy Griffith Show.

  • im 14 and i love don knotts funniest actor ever!!!! im going to watch the andy griffith show marathon today on tvland R.I.P. don knotts there will never bew another actor like u

  • @alicia3n8 That's a great way to spend the day. Have fun!

  • @alicia3n8 i ain't got no money

  • @alicia3n8 This is so sad to hear. Turn the TV OFF and GO STUDY!

  • good, american television. i'm 29 and when i was a boy in georgia you could still sit around and watch this with the family.

  • @desperatelytragic And the beauty of it is that you still can today!

  • Don Knotts totally kicks ass.

  • don was my 2nd counin and from the storys i heard that he was a very nice person sucks i never got to met him

  • @goreds03 That really is a shame. What an interesting meeting that would have been.

  • @snoop0851 No, sadly Don passed away on February 24, 2006. Thank you for commenting.

  • its the lil things that made t he andy griffith show so great..

    for example, the music at

    1:11

  • @bettydaw1970 He was a comedic genius. Thanks :)

  • The greatest character of all time.

  • @38 barney forgot to nip it in the bud and grew weed outside andys house.

  • A goat fulla dynamite?!

    XD

  • did you get the clips from a dvd? i can't figure out how to upload clips from a dvd.

  • @emmysue20 These clips were not taken from a DVD. I would have to know more about what kind of problem your having with uploads to be able to help you. Feel free to send an email :) -Michael

  • Don Knotts was simply awesome!

  • Barney was funny but together with Andy he was hysterical

  • Nip it ! Nip it in the BUD !

  • You know, as great as this was, you would need about 30 minutes to even BEGIN to capture all the hysterical moments with Barney! Thanks for a great trip down memory lane!

  • @bughousechess No argument here. I can't imagine anyone else playing the role of Barney Fife.

  • This show by far was the best. Barney high strung but his best friend Andy always giving him his space and dignity. This is an eternal message to us all. Plus it was the most hilarious of all time When barney got his character honed in. The honey mooners second in my opinion. Don Knotts we miss you and of course rest in peace, as I'm sure you are.

  • I was curious as to who Don Knotts was after he is mentioned in the film 'Ghost World' by Thora Birch and Ileana Douglas. Now I know, Thanks!!!

  • that is classic !

  • I'm surprised that Barn ran around with Juanita (who worked down at the diner as a waitress) when he had a regular gal (the sweet, lovely & down to earth Thelma Lou). His Barney Fife character was the funniest second banana in the history of TV. What a talent...sad that he's no longer with us. THANKS for posting this collection of hilarious scenes!

  • you are Barney

  • just loove barney...thanks michael!!!

  • haha lol ah man ol donny

  • andy you gotta try these straaaawberrys

  • ha there was another line in the episode i saw the other day where andy said "i told you there was gonna come a time when i'd have to move on" and barney said "well i didn't think you meant nothing like quitting...i thought u just meant dyin" hahaha loves it

  • thanks hwy61media for the upload this is one the greatest shows of all time i love Barney

  • @babydollatl You're welcome. Thank you for watching and commenting. -Michael

  • Did not realize he's been gone for 4 years now.

    RIP

  • @brads62 Far too soon :(

  • @hwy61media Too soon? Cmon man he was born in 1924 lol he lived longer than a whole lot of folks

  • What is really funny about Barney Fife is in real life he probably had all sorts of hot women,

  • @ElRancholo2 Possibly but I don't know. Knotts suffered a great deal from stress and nervousness. He might have enjoyed staying home. A great man!

  • @ElRancholo2 I read somewhere that he actually was good with women. He knew how to treat a lady.

  • this is the andy griffeth show.

  • @anglerfly Yes, it is.

  • Knotts and Griffith were so good together.

  • @nixthetiger They sure were!

  • @nixthetiger agree their chemistry together was just amazing.....atlough it was hard to replace barney...i think waren did a great job replacing such an important character

  • @axlslashizzygnr1 I agree. Can't think of the actor's name who played Warren, but I think he was part of a comedy team at one point.

  • the new car is the best episode

  • ***** VERY GOOD *****

you'll be the first to know :)

  • @VanWADebbie Thank you. The clip is from "The Loaded Goat." One of the funniest episodes of the series! I have the entire episode up.

  • Very funny and entertaining I give you

    5*****stars

    Peace Always !

    Chaz

  • Barney Fife, an American Icon. A beloved TV personality, a likeable sort, and from a time of our youth which we all hold dear. I really liked Don Knotts. Yeh, so he was a little poofy but he never hurt anyone and made us all laugh and smile at least once in our lives. RIP there Barney, Incredible Mr Limpet, The Shakiest Gun in the West, The Reluctant Astronaut, Mr. Ralph Furley. One of my favorite classic TV actors!

  • @Nato61 He was a mild mannered giant in television and movies.

    Thanks for commenting.

  • lol i love hte begining its always been my favriote sceen. xD

  • Thank you. I'm glad you liked it!

  • im glad you uploaded =)

  • Oh Dear Barney you drive my blues away, I love you so. At 1.19 it was soo funny, well all of it is, never a dull moment, in my fav and classic playlist.

    You did great Michael.

    Thank you,

    Rita

  • Barney could do that. Always funny! Thanks Rita :)

  • I have seen thesewell over a hundred times, and start laughing before Barney does his stuff. Still laughing!

  • Thanks! Barney just never gets old :)

  • The name Knotts is appropriate as he usualy leaves my stomach in knots. A true comedic master. Great clip.

  • Thank you.

  • Love this, when will you make another tribute to Dan Knotts? More of Mozart too.

I'll be waiting. Cockaaa doooodle doooooo..........

    Rita

  • I've been thinking about making another tribute to Don Knotts. We'll see. In classical music I might do Beethoven next.

  • best tv show EVER. Thanks. These old shows were funnier and better than ANYTHING today and did NOT have to be vulgar and dirty to do so. There really isnt ANYTHING like this on tv today....and not only were the shows morally and ethically right, They actually had life morals. BY the way, i am 33 NOT 63. Raised up watching these reruns and still watch em. Loved by generations thru-out Dixie and beyond all these years later. A great show about small-town Southern life. AMEN

  • Thank you very much for this comment. I could not agree more.

  • I agre:also todays sitcoms depend heavely on using pre recorded canned laughter in a constipated effort to be funny. Todays Script Writers just RIP OFF ideas and remake classic movies and tv shows

  • @coldh2ocarp now the best ever but it's one of the greatest....one of my favorite old shows is Happy Days, then the Andy Griffith Show.

  • His reciting of the Preamble is one of the greatest moments in TV.

  • What an actor!

  • Dear Michael,

I LOVE Barney, We watch the Andy Griffith show everyday, We are Big Barney fans,

I wish today was as innocent as it was back then : ) and don't forget Barney and Ernest T wedding, Hahahahaha

    Bless You,

    Tammy

  • I really love this show. Quiet Mayberry...beautiful place.

  • nice tribute...but just a thimble-full of what he offered while playing just that role.

  • Yes, there is just so much. I might do another one of these.

  • Thanks for uploading this.

  • You're welcome!

  • A hundred years from now, people will be laughing at Barney. What a legacy!

  • I hope he is never forgotten. How could he be?

  • i grew up watching tim conway and don knotts. neither will be forgotten, not by me. hopefully newer generations will discover them.

  • That is my hope. Thanks for commenting.

  • As long as there are rent-a-cops, or we get busted for stupid tickets, there will ALWAYS be a Barney Fife.

  • I guess so. LOL

  • Don Knotts was great in everything I ever saw him in.I liked his stuff with Tim Conway almost as much as this.

  • Tim Conway, another great!

  • THE greatest sitcom of all time!!!

  • Thanks. It is certainly one of my favorites :)

  • Barney had the best facial expressions!!! :D He was my favorite tv character!

  • Those facial expressions! Certainly one of his greatest talents.

  • Thanks for your effort. Did I ever laugh. To me he was the best supporting actor ever in the classic era of sitcoms.

  • You just can't say enough good things about Don Knotts :)

  • Barney Fife was one of the best TV sidekicks ever created. The only one who may be his equal is Ed Norton (The Honeymooners).

  • That's a close call but I'll stick with Barney :)

  • that was great! LOL i think Barney is the funniest on the show. ty for posting :-)

  • You're welcome. The show could never have been the same without him :)

  • wanna get up wanna see

if theres an egg in a char

  • LOL. Poor Barney :)

  • Thanks A Bunch this is one of 5 of my all time fav's

  • Your welcome!

  • Do you have the one where Barneys tests Otis stamina with Barney jump'n up & down one foot then the other and of course Otis outdoes Barneys wears Barneys down to a frazzel Just too funny I'll look for it or please bring it to my attention Thank you very much Grasspa

  • That sounds really familiar. I'll keep an eye out for it too.
