This is truly amazing and yes it was history in the making. I am so happy they have stayed together for like 21 years now! On a sort of unrelated note, I noticed that Pearl Jam does have like 4 million likes on Facebook but then I saw that Nirvana has 12 million which I find incredible as they have been gone for so long now. Crazy! Both of the are awesome bands- the best. :) 90's rocked and I will never forget them.

i think pearl jam would be much better if they started doing soft songs instead of hard rock, take all the distortion out except for in the solo, that would suit his voice better, wayyy better
@felix200100 whuut? That 'fusion' is exactly what made PJ the great band they were and still are. That being said, if such is what you'd want to hear, you should definitely check out the soundtrack album Eddie Vedder did for 'Into the Wild', you might love it.

I was at this show. Also saw Soundgarden play the Capital Theater in downtown Olympia, WA and Alice in Chains at the Evergreen State College in Oly. I miss those days.

Oh yeah, they run the whole gauntlet of shot sizes, running from, up to what's known as a ".410" shotgun (which would be something like 42 gauge if I remember correctly - the higher the "gauge", the smaller the actual size of the ammunition... always seemed backwards to me...) Once is actually a true story about a guy that went nuts on day and went on a killing spree with a 16 gauge. Not sure on the exact details but I'm sure another PJ fan could fill in the blanks here!
I live Seattle I am 34 this matters because I was in middle school so could not go but I would have been there, they just put out ten people they were just a local band no big deal were from Seattle we see this all the time.

that's shifting a bit. they went through a funny period, of very uncommercial music. they are also basically 'the last band standing' from the grunge period, a period that reminds everyone of the death of kurt and layne, not to mention mark arm.
it seems they are being recognized, slowly, for what they are - a great american rock band.

I was there... As far as I am concerned I was witness to the ZENITH of this great band. They haven't done shit since Ten. And I know these guys personally!!! Too bad...
That's what's wrong with them. They do know what they are watching and they know this band will be huge someday! They are to awestruck to be rocking out. At least that's what my mum (who was there) says.
That stage is right in Seattle Center under the space needle, and anyone can walk on it at any time when there isn't a show.
Every time I am in the area, I climb up onto that stage and look out at the field from the perspective of all the great bands who performed there, Pearl Jam, Alice in Chains, etc., ansd I just let my mind take over, placing me in their shoes for just a few seconds.
I live in Seattle and I am forming a sweet band right now. We are going to play at this stage someday and we will definately play a Pearl Jam cover! I can't wait! :D

The 90's sucked. I love grunge music, but all of the huge corporate record labels KILLED them. This concert was probably before that happened. What I like about Pearl Jam, is that they never sold out all that much. The worst thing they did was get a fairly big record label.
thats the the thing......people didnt start jumping until they became officially cool.....so it was never the music or where they were from...it was what hollywood wanted people to associate with the music.......i was smart enough to see this back in 1994....i let the busters play it out...now theyve moved onto 50 cent, so i can play some soundgarden and alice in chains without thinking of all the busters from junior high,

I remember seeing Tool the same way. You could literally TALK without shouting over their performance it was that quiet. The sound was studio quality even back then~91 but they weren't a well known band so everything was up and coming quality. Good times!

that's shifting a bit. they went through a funny period, of very uncommercial music. they are also basically 'the last band standing' from the grunge period, a period that reminds everyone of the death of kurt and layne, not to mention mark arm.
it seems they are being recognized, slowly, for what they are - a great american rock band.

That stage is right in Seattle Center under the space needle, and anyone can walk on it at any time when there isn't a show.
Every time I am in the area, I climb up onto that stage and look out at the field from the perspective of all the great bands who performed there, Pearl Jam, Alice in Chains, etc., ansd I just let my mind take over, placing me in their shoes for just a few seconds.
It's a pretty magical place. =)

The 90's sucked. I love grunge music, but all of the huge corporate record labels KILLED them. This concert was probably before that happened. What I like about Pearl Jam, is that they never sold out all that much. The worst thing they did was get a fairly big record label.

I remember seeing Tool the same way. You could literally TALK without shouting over their performance it was that quiet. The sound was studio quality even back then~91 but they weren't a well known band so everything was up and coming quality. Good times!
