I love their Green Arrow, but Smallville DEFINITELY took some liberties with their JLA cast considering at least two of them are next generation heroes (Cyborg--Teen Titans, Impulse--Young Justice to Titans).
Anyone know why the decided to use impulse instead of flash? He wasn't ever part of the JLA as far as I know, and he only stood in for flash once. Why didn't they use Wally west?
@mikelalta Why there wasn't a Wonder Woman? Same thing as with the Flash, there was going to be a movie and/or a TV-series about the character at the time that stopped the use of Wonder Woman, Donna Troy and Cassie Sandsmark to make any live-action appearances.
Granted S10 does imply that Chloe (of all people!!) met Batman and Wonder Woman offscreen.

Legally speaking, licensing was way too expensive, on a TV budget to have a live action Bruce Wayne or Batman show up on Smallville. They went with the JL characters that the studio could afford. Warner Brothers may own DC Comics, but that doesn't mean they completely own Superman and Batman. I think WB has all rights to the animated Supes and Bats, but not the live-action versions. Lots of part owners need to be paid every time Superman or Batman show up in a live-action anything.
Dude, it's not even the show's fault. They were gonna get Batman, but Warner banned all appearances of Batman in other media while they were doing the Christian Bale Batman movies. So they got Green Arrow instead.
@soaringaegis Actually, it wasn't really a Warner Brothers ban. The young Bruce Wayne was going to visit Smallville clear back in like season 2 of Smallville. Well before Batman Begins came out. There are major licensing issues to consider. The live-action Superman and Batman intellectual properties have multiple owners. Any time a live-action Superman or Batman shows up in anything, legal crap makes it very expensive. Same umbrella company, but very different properties.
I'm kinda glad there was no Batman though. Superman meeting Batman so early would have been weird for me. Plus there's less risk of him stealing Clark's thunder.

So...The reason Bruce Wayne/Batman isn't in any of the episodes is because he's away training to BECOME Batman. If he was in one of these episodes ratings would be up. But, Smallville didn't want to input Batman because then someone would have to make a spin off show of Bruce Wayne/Batman and really, the movies are handling that.
Now just as much as i like Batman, I can honestly say I have never seen Bruce Wayne in a "Batman" outfit to say, where is Batman in Smallville. I personally love this video its pretty accurate and right on point (but if we are talking about JLA or JLA Unlimited, then where is Zatanna?), im just saying.....lol :)

Well to be fair, no Batman, no Justice League. Along with Superman and Wonder Woman, Bats is one of the Trinity, one of the core of the League.
Don't know, they had Aquaman on the show like 4 times and he got captured like 3 times. Kinda lame.

The song is Avenger by Immediate Music. There are a couple of sound alikes by Pfeifer Broz and ES Posthumus and then there is also another version by Immediate Music without the choir.

great video, i love the justice league on smallville as well, i was soo happy when i saw my fav bart a.k.a impulse return in season 9 after not seeing him since season 6, the good news is...everyone is supposed to make an appearance in season 9 including new comers such as star girl, hawkman and the wonder twins...can't wait! By the way, would u happen to have that image...i would love to get a copy of it for myself to use as a wallpaper
