  • And he's Hungarian ^^

  • Thats soaring BITCH! wish I could fly my Blanik L13 again...

  • You guys make it look so easy!!!!!!!!!!

  • omg...that has no engine right? how the fuck THIS IS THE MOST EXTREME SHIT THAT I'VE EVER SEEN!

  • THANK YOU FOR FERENC TOTH.

    DZIĘKUJĘ TOBIE FERENC TOTH.

  • THANK YOU for video!!! Super :-)))

  • wow man, that is skill!

  • You're my idol =D

  • Verry nice! Flying aerobatics wuth a glider it is something unbelievible...

  • I saw a glider aerobatic performance at an airshow last year, I had no idea gliders could do this.

  • Hi It is really good video; I have done solo in gliding. Where is this club. I would like to fly one time there. Please tell me the name of club.

  • closest you get to being a fighter pilot without being one.

  • @TheDudeFrom0Z no that would be an aerobatic pilot competing in events such as the red bull air race. those guys are some of the most skilled pilots in the world.

  • обалденный полет, пилот молодец

  • which glider is he flying?

  • @helendcouto

the one that flyes upsidedown close to the floor and then he does a loop backwards is a Fox

  • Pass me the decongestant and help me rig the K8......

  • Ferenc(Tóth) Hungary Proud of You!!!

  • Wow! This dude is good... check out 3:50.

  • awesome! im going gliding for the first time tomorrow. so excited :D

  • Those inverted lowpasses are sick, 1:32 awesome!

But lose the shitty background music, get some other or put back in the recorded sounds.

@Louisthefish23 yes both the MDM-1 Fox and the S-1 Swift are capable and allowed for doing this. (Pilatus B4 and ASK-21 can also, but Fox and Swift are way more manuverable).

  • can any glider do this?

  • WHY THE LOUSEY BACKGROUND NOISE CRAP

  • I feel like such a wuss! I have multiple pilots licenses and still hate strong stalls, and here you are flying inverted with only plexiglass between your head and the ground! Wow!

  • I flew solo in a glider before I soloed in a powered plane, it is still my best memory of flight, and for those that love the idea of speed top gun stuff, G's are about acceleration in different directions, I don't think this guy is putting it on:) (but lets face it, you won't do mach 2 with your hair on fire in a glider)

  • insane.. I would do this on a flight simulator but not in real.. wow..

  • Grat! nagyon király lett :)

Büszke vagyok rá hogy magyar vagy :D ;)

  • Thanks for taking us up there, great stuff!

  • winch or tow?

  • done very well, im astonished that you manged to carry out some of the manoeuvres at low altitude without stalling!

  • @StartMan09 He stalls thats the point and the key to some tricks

  • @CAPZEN1 That was my point; like I said I was astonished that he managed to do it.

  • @StartMan09 oh haha im ignorent ;)

  • Amazing. So crisp with the yoke.

  • Frankie :)

  • wow! thats the only i can say

  • HOOOOOOO

I cannot beleive the yaw string stay straight geeeeeeeeeeessss

  • HOOOOOOO inverted spins..........geesssssss

  • Deep voice tutorial guy from FSX yells at me when I do that kind of stuff!

  • I've seen low passes at the airfield i go to, but this is ridiculous. Was that an inverted stall at 1:02?

  • dude, the guy flies with a broken right hand! if you look carefully, youll notice!

  • Awesome! What kind of glider is it?

  • Wow, that takes some balls to fly inverted right off the deck with no engine. Some fantastic maneuvers there.

  • you are VERY goood:D

  • these guys rock... energy management at it's best. love to have that kind of skill. purest form of flight they make it look so effortless, but the skill is better than any power aerobatic, same principles but must be felt and flown the gliders are incredibly strong too toth you rock!

  • @findyouahome Most of the powered aerobatic pilots started with gliding and aerobatic gliding , Basicly is the same thing except that in the unpowered case the aerobatic flight is much shorter

  • G-forces make you look tough...

  • what is that "cartwheel" manoeuvre called?

  • AWESOME! JUST AWESOME! if could be as good as you one day!

  • Awesome video, great to watch while high!

  • grande !

  • hARDCORE ;D

  • Excellently, good job!!!

  • Nice 10+ :)

  • No Cupholders?

  • How many G's can a glider take?

  • @aleclitvinov, +10G / -7.5G for the Swift.

  • @AirsportsDaniel

but most humans can't take this G's before they get sick or just go knock out..

I went to +5,5 and -5,5 in an ask 21 and it felt amazing

  • @Milamber52, In aerobatic the G-loads are so short that almost anybody can handle high G-forces.

-5.5 is out of the rating for an ASK-21 so I hope you didnt do that.

  • you need PPL for this right?

  • where does he fly?

  • This looks so easy! I fly gliders (DG1000) so I can tell you that this is really really difficult and this is a good pilot!

  • Forgive me here.....

Isn't gliding all about understanding thermals and kinetic energy? And understanding where that energy is stored, and how to exploit that energy?

  • Yes you are right about thermals and kinetic energy in normal gliding or long distance gliding.

In aerobatic gliding, like in this tube, the pilot must execute the exercise in an limited airspace. Therefore he trades the altitude for speed (potential energy for kinetic energy).

  • The pilot is Ferencz Toth, world champion in aerobatics in 2003. No wonder he's flying so smooth and beatiful

  • espectacular.... con esas capacidades, quien necesita un motor en el avión????

  • This is insane ...

Nem ma kezdte az biztos. :)

  • How many T shirts has this guy got? He must have a whole collection with him. Unless of course he uses spray paint. lol.

  • i must do that. Incredible stuff, thanks for posting.

  • Hi, any chance of some tuition/teaching?

  • What's the type of the glider?????

  • I think Swift S1

  • milyen típusú géppel repül? What's the type of the glider?

  • El hombre es tan bueno que hasta tiene tiempo de cambiarse la camiseta mientras vuela.

  • Awesome stuff! I'm impressed!

  • con que simplesa vuela este señor... muy buen piloto!!!!!!

  • STALLMAN

  • This is Some smooth flying. I am a airobatic glider pilot too but i can't fly like this he's verty good. But That invertet fly by was amazing!

  • does anyone know the type or the name of the factory where ir's build?

  • gliding is so much better than powered flying!!!

  • ....lassú orsó.....javítva lent

  • büszkék vagyunk !

    remek gép, pilóta.+++++

dobott figurák, lassú ordó lebillenés nélkül, szép palástorsó, mindezt vitorlázva. bizarr látni ilyen dinamikus manővereket egy olyan géptől, amiről nyugodt siklás jut eszünkbe. :)

  • skilled!!

just for info.. how many Gs (+ and -) this fox supports?

  • It's +10 and -8 Gs

  • @envagyokaznemlatod holy crap

  • omg that's so cool

  • No engine? And he keeps flying that low to the ground?

  • yep

  • Nice! I like that.

  • @kakompo if you have enough speed this is possible

  • @kakompo

he uses his speed from descending to stay on the same level and then to pull up

it's not that difficult, you just have to have the balls to do it

  • @Milamber52 Balls of steel that is. lol. There's no way to escape should it spiral out of control due to let's say a broken wing. Looks exciting though.

  • @kakompo They're featherweight. Honestly. If you get 3 people you can lift one with ease. probably 2 strong guys could do it...

  • @kakompo It's all about converting kinetic energy to potential energy

  • @kakompo altitude to airspeed, airspeed to alltitude. conservation of energy

  • @kakompo If it was twoce the optimal speed there is no problem . He then can use the extra speed to transforn it into height

  • @kakompo

No engine! But he has a lot of speed, so he can pull and change the speed in height, as you can see 1:49 .

  • @thomson47g That looks like a lot of fun.

  • @kakompo that's thanks to the ground effect. :D

  • @kakompo Thermals can help the glider rise again.

  • Very smooth flying. I do hate the aerobatic ' competition style of flying-not very aesthetic? Exerting a sailplane to vigorous 4G manouevres is'nt pleasant on the airframe! Ok for power pilots...

  • the best glider pilot in aerobatics........hope i would have the same luck like this guy.....

  • What a great video, this is a true inspiration for me! I had my first lesson in gliding today & will hopefully be doing that in the future, that would be one dream come true!!

  • How the wings stay on that glider i'll never know. What a brave pilot.....................OR GOOD? Make your own minds up. I'll go with good myself : )

  • @gotnowt

    both brave and good (:

  • i was doing aerobatics in the glider a couple days ago. but it was nothing like this. great pilot

  • Excelent !

  • How did you manage to change your shirt so many times during the flight? White, orange and blue! I assume this was made over a number of flights, so perhaps you should sack the continuity girl? Also the Swift single seater glider metamorphises itself into a two-seater Fox at one point in the video. Still pretty awesome though.

  • insane!

  • this is so awsome u wouldent think that u could do this with a glider

  • Wow. I think hes treating the glider like its an F15 or something lol

  • F15 sucks in acro flying against Fox :>

  • GREAT SKILL, speechless... wish i was that good... ;)

  • damn cool, great pilot and plane

  • i want one of those

  • alla is ja ma rischdisch geil!

    der hamma

  • In the USA you need a private pilot license with a rating in gliders.

  • you need a license more or less everywhere !

  • ez szép volt! gratula Tóth Ferinek! sok repnapon láttam/beszéltek róla és nagyon jók a progeamjai. Az elején megijedtem amikor láttam. Köszi a videót!

  • what trick are you tring to acomplish next?

  • 1:33 is astonishing

  • don't you need a special license for aerobatics in the usa like in germany?

  • yes in germany you need one! It`s very difficult to get one!

  • yes,i do know that you need a license in germany,im also a glider pilot from germany, but do you need one in the states?

  • Keine Ahnung...xD

  • This is Great, I'm a Glider pilot in training... Any tips?

  • Yeah fly as much as possible

  • Thermal.

    lol jks

  • @MikeGlides

watch the clouds, watch things on the ground that heat quicker than other stuff around it and try fly above it

always use very subtile movements with the stick and pedals (unless you want to slip to lose some height quickly)

if you want to learn aerobics, try to fly with skilled aerobatics pilots and watch carefully what they are doing with the stick and pedals and try always to remember in which position you are flying through the air

  • we3074

I wouldnt think so as some have really long wings so wud b weak but i guess sum aeros could be done

  • can any glider do these?

  • amazing!

  • Very nice video, Where was do it?

  • Mostly above Budaörs airport, Hungary

  • cool tricks. i enjoyed watching

  • its a Fox. No one would like to fly aerobatics in a Puchacz. Every Puchacz that still flies is one too much.

  • which plane is it?

    thanks

  • that gilder shore can move well good rate of role and good display

  • looks so fun!

  • pro's

  • that inverted bit at the beginning is really impressive. that takes balls in a glider that low.

  • funny mouth :d

  • What aircrafts ?

  • Swift S1, MDM1 Fox,...

  • ah, thanks :-)

  • No Problem, and I think the Puchacz SZD 50 :)

  • hahaha what do you want?!?! money?!?! hahahaha

  • i am thinking about it. Hope i don't catch a cold on this one.

  • Right.. :-)

  • Great video, Great flying.

I am soon to return to the sky in a glider to celebrate my 40th birthday. This comes 10 years after my first and last flight that so nearly killed me my instructor. I was the passenger in the glider that was destroyed by lightning. To read my story cut and paste the following into google:- big40reachfortheskiesagain

  • Sorry to be picky, but has anyone noticed that the single seater Swift turns into a two-seater Fox for one of the low inverted passes at 1:50 into the video? Still the best glider aerobatics video I have seen though. Well done!

  • I probably have watched this vid 50 times, and never noticed that until you just pointed that out, haha. Good stuff. Still a great vid imho.

  • Dear mr Flyboy,

please search on YouTube for: aerobatic Aosta.

Not so extreme but filmed with speacial camera;s........

  • Krásne video! :-)

  • Man I love this vid, it's well put together, the music is good and fits, I've probably added 100 views to the total :P Can you upload it in a higher resolution?

  • Wow! I love the hesitation roll!

  • great video, i love gliding, but this aerobatics is just awesome. great music too

  • Comment removed

  • Are you rated for aerobatics? Which B4 model, A or AF? The A was not fully certified or aerobatics. Listen to your instructors, they know more then you.

  • Comment removed

  • Are you sure it's not just that you're doing aeros in the vicinity of the top of the winch when they're trying to launch more aircraft, and they'd rather you shuftied on down along the airfield out the way a bit before you started doing aeros...

  • How can I mount the camera like that on my glider?

  • at what alt is this done?

  • In competitions we start at 1200m above ground and finish at 200m above ground, but Ferry is obvioulsy a bit lower in sometimes! ;-)

  • wow great then! I'm just 15 but i got into the Romanian Airclub a few weeks ago and start courses this monday . From my understanding we will be pulled by ground equipment via a cable to about 800 m and this autumn I'l be solo so can't wait to try out some of that maneuvers. :)

  • haha I am actualy in glider's i got my first flyght around 1th of May :) at 15!!

  • I hade the privilege to fly with Ferenc in November. And it was a grat experience.

  • I love this! Absolutely the best flying I'v seen, with or without propulsion!

  • Excellent. How difficult is it to break one of those gliders?

  • It´s not at all difficult! Just hit the ground fast enough... ;-)

Seriously, I don´t know as to my knowledge no Swift ever broke in flight.
