I've seen My Morning Jacket twice - at Bonnaroo 2008, and at Madison Square Garden this past New Year's. Both shows were among the greatest concerts I have ever seen.
And how the hell did you manage to get backstage for this EPIC show? Lucky!
that was so freakin awesome. i came from Ottawa, 1600kms to see them there, then 1800km back to Montreal to see them at that show. greatest time ive ever had, the covers were tooooo sick in Bonnaroo. get down on it, 110th street, sweet nuthin, TYRONE!!! man that was such an awesome time.
not too sure, we broke up the trip down into 3 parts. Ottawa to cleveland, cleveland to nashville then nashville to Roo. Overall id say about 22 hours. We booked it home in one drive, took 23 hours, but we got mixed up a few times and took some wrong turns, or didnt turn when we should have. I recommend it man! top up the fluids in the car and take off!!!
An epic performance! 4 hours, 35 songs, occasionally in the pouring rain. I swear, JJ controlled the clouds, the rain seemed to be in sync with the intensity of the music. I was tired, wet, and freezing, but wouldn't have missed it for the world. Best performance of Bonnaroo 2008!
i love reading the comments and looking at how many people were as blown away as i was, and i can tell you were...ill never forget it for as long as i live man
this song was of my favorites to skate to as a kid. the jacket rules. i got a bootleg of the show w/ this gem on it, and i've found myself sing 'm. night shamalan' on that one part - cause i'm a weirdo.
I know! We were getting wet on the stage too - the band was soaked by the end, and the horns section was dodging some major drips by the end of that show. What a show, what a crowd, I love Bonnaroo!
thats my homey PHIL on trmpt. in the horn section!!!
I remember that show, it got SOAKED!!!!!

@Rattimusd seeing them cover 110th street and get down on it is worth the entire admission price of bonnaroo

@Rattimusd -- Dude, were you the guy on crutches? If so, I was hanging with you and your crew for the majority of the show.

this was one of the highlights of one of the best shows I have ever seen -- nearly 4 hours in the rain and we were bummed when it was over
