it seems that your generator should charge a lot less. Are you sure you are connected right for charging? I believe this starter generator should have a regulator. I am using a delco starter generator on my lister, and the solenoid has to disengage after starting to allow for charging.
If this starter generator is self regulating, I would like info about it to switch mine over.
It's been 11 months, how is it working now and will it start in the dead of winter? I like the soft start on your engine much better than my 12V dc GM truck starter it has a good clunk when engaging the ring gear.
I suppose it would be too much to ask that it spins the engine with the compression release disengaged? (i.e.: compressing the cyl on each stroke cycle)
It's possible that may work if you set the engine up to be just after compression at TDC, that way it would have two (or 1.5) revolitions to gain speed before compression,
I will try it in near future , but doubt it would work, currently working on permanent wiring, servos, relays, for auto stop etc.
Great Video!! Thanks!

Also, what is the blue flex line and 90 degree fitting next to the compression release? Possible oil return?
