My uncle said it was stupid to shave your head your not the one suffering.. My uncle has Cancer and told me not to.. he doesn't want anyone else to suffer either.. or to be looked at.
Exactly! And that's the least we can do. Pledges raised at the Shave for the Brave as well as at other YACC events go toward our support programs for young adults. We are the only national registered charity focused on this group and we are proud to provide an annual retreat & conference, an online community to share with and learn from others in similar situations, and a number of other initiatives. Check out our website and thanks for your comment!
Thanks for your comments! This year's Shave for the Brave was the most successful yet! "Toques off" to all of you who volunteered, donated, and shaved for the cause. You are helping to provide much needed support programs for young adults with cancer. Want to know what they are? Check out our website! See you at next year's shave - it's going to be bigger and balder than ever!

Everyone's different: but, speaking from experience, shaving my own head has never caused me any suffering... in fact, it can feel pretty fantastic.
I also believe a show of support is a powerful statement- and that's what a shaved head can do.

So let me get this right... If i shave my self.. bold... I actually support those who have cancer?
That's pretty easy to support someone with a terrible sickness!
