@Jeeeeeeeeeeeeesus yes Biblically defined belief is a choice since it is composed of a broken sinner knowing their sin before a Holy God, a meek person who is made like a tamed wild horse that now becomes calm and willing to listen to truth, and one who now strives for righteousness. If this is done and you put your faith in Christ to deliver you from natural depravity and sin He will deliver you from it and give you the perfect righteousness of the Lord Jesus Christ - the only hope for lost men

@KeithTruth With all due respect the Bible shows more support towards faith in Christ as being God's choice only; not mans. God elects people, has pre-destined the ones He wants to save, and even Ephesians 4:28 tells of how salvation is from grace alone, faith alone (the faith comes from God with grace). It is "not of yourselves," indicating that man doesn't choose to believe. In Romans 3:10, Paul makes it very clear that man is incapable of grasping anything of righteousness.

@EvangelistChristian Did I say its a choice apart from God's prederminations for us? Did I say its a free will choice apart from what our fallen nature would allow? I defend total depravity but that doesn't mean people don't make choices, it just means they are not free choices.

@Jeeeeeeeeeeeeesus Pfft, beliefs are primarily reactions upon how one evaluates the evidence available. That is to say if Ray Comfort were to become an atheist, as he claimed to be in the past (if I recall correctly) he has to re-evaluate in order to align with the atheist perspective. Otherwise he cannot simply choose to be an atheist, it would be non-sensical to just submit without being persuaded.

Also, I could show you beyond all doubt that Ray Comfort is a fool, and my explanation would have nothing to do with the veracity of Christianity. I'm not convinced Christianity is false, and if I became a Christian tomorrow, I'd still know Ray Comfort is a fool.
