I drive a 6 speed manual C6 so I prefer manual, but I have some friends with bone stock LS3 Vette's with the A6 tranny~ All three of them have the optional 2.73 factory gearing. They consistently run in the low 12's @ over 115 mph. 12.20-12.30's @ 116-117 are most of the runs I've seen them make in person at the track. Bone stock on the factory tires. Once they're broken in a bit, they get even faster than when new. No matter the tranny, the LS3 corvette hauls some ass.

@IRapeXBL alot of guys with corvettes actually use them for their intentions. only problem is the cost of everything lol i had a GTO that cost $140 a tire for a decent tire. to replace the stock goodyear eagle f1s on my 02 is $350 a tire and i couldnt find them or any tire in person i had to go online. so i bought a set of Nitto drag radials for half the price;) but i dont care about the cost of a tire, my car is my daily driver but it gets its abuse

it sounds to me that you bought a car that you cant afford let alone modify using quality parts which cost money. any vette guy will tell you "you gotta pay to play". but if ure okay with settling for lesser parts/components, then more power to you. you'd probably put a flowmaster on a ferrari as opposed to a titantium exhaust just cut corners on costs - i met guys like you at the local meet all the time.

Auto is much better for a daily and for drag racing. Unless you can shift perfect and launch perfect everytime you will not get consistent times. Thats a fact. My lt1 camaro auto runs consistently 9.03-9.08 in the 1/8th all day if i dont spin on the launch. 6 speed is for more a fun car and a car that you just like to drive every so often. Driving a manual gets old real fast.

Go with the B&B Bullets man with the cattedx pipe they make as well. You will love how it sounds compared to the flows, and it also outflows them by quite a bit. That said, thats prob the best flowmaster system I've ever heard on a car.

in this video it only had a flowmaster exhaust. Now its got a full exhaust with LG longtube headers, offroad x, underdrive pulley system, 160 degree thermostat, Vararam intake, and on June 26 its going in for a dyno tune.

ls2, B- does this have the Z51 perf package and last C- cant you do the z06 body upgrade since the z51 and z06 share same base (sorta)

and yea i have seen c6 from 05 and a few from 06 go for like 25k w/low miles on it too, id love to get a z06 tho :-)

A- yes this is a LS3 Corvette, they started making the LS3's at the 08 model year, the LS2's were from 05-07. B- Yes this has the Z51 Package on it along with the 3LT package. C- You can put a Z06 body wide body package on any model corvette of the C6's 05-present, all panels are interchangeable between the others. And yes, corvettes right now are going for dirt cheap, ive seen some as low as 20k even. The 2006 Z06 have incredible drops of starting to go for even only 40k. 40k under new price.

nah. no where near as fast as the new ZR1, on the drag strip with slicks i should be able to beat a Z06 in the quarter but thats it. Ill have about the same horsepower rating of the Z06 but if it was on a street pull to like 140 or something the Z06 would win because its lighter and more aerodynamic.

I just knew i didnt want the stupid alloy whiteish ones because with the black it looked retarded. And the chrome was an extra $1300 or so and i can get reproduction Z06 wheels for 900 so that was a pointless option. But its an amazing car. got no complaints whatsoever.

Yeah i know. I regret not getting a manual more and more. This is my daily driver though. Thats the only reason i got the auto. Later on i plan on getting a C6 Z06. So with that in mind i got the auto for this one.
