I have a Meyers Parrot. He is 8 months olds. He is so jealous of your Red Bellied. I have been telling your bird what good birdie he is and my parrot is mimicing him to the tee now. I just have to get him to say Thank you like yours and we will have our first word. Jealousy...the best training tool yet.

Just a lot of whistles and weird sounds (like the ones yours make) haha its cute but I wish he does learn to talk... but if he doesn't its okay.. how old was yours when it started talking?
I have him from his 4 months, his first word was after two wks I have him home. Now he knows around 15 words / clear / and he whistles lot . Red bellys are better talkers like senegal.
