  • And now for the serious crap , I of course being the duh duhhhh is trying to find the answer to this question, Do ya have to take the ecs thing off then battery and the two horn arms things then start eye balling and hand setting your heli pitch level and tracking and is transmitter on too or is every thing off as in pulled out and off, leh me know you experts, cause i set up my t6config transmitter to 2010helipads video and now need to do hands on approach thanks get back y'all ....

  • Hello realbigdady

First of all thank you for a simple approach to a big problem especially for people like my self who don't know jack shit about 450 helis, Crap i first taught you just throw these things up in the air then fart while cranking on your transmitter but no i was surely wrong to find out that a hole lot more work goes into these things before flying them, and yea a little bit a safety is good while having a brown buck beer of course, cause yous just feel so relax with a cold buck

  • hey cna u make a vid on the paddles of a mini rc helicopter?

if u could, that would just be fuckin great!!

  • you should make sure the swash plate is completely level before you adjust the flybar paddles this way. You might want to mention this in the description?

  • Now, when I read my comment it's like some old fart wrote it, sorry. But still I think this is very unsafe. When you get cut with carbon blade, then it's too late... Offcourse you dont have to take the video down.. ;)

  • Comment removed

  • This is so unsafe! Take the video down!

  • @DobarDabar too late!! OOOWWWW!!! :) I just use goggles

  • I was looking for a tutorial like this, thank you for taking the time and record it. Happy New Year 2011 :-))

  • the last part was very informative

  • Your video is extremely helpful! Thank you

  • Good video instruction. I like your approach.

  • cool vid !!!! got the walker 60 too and i bought the after market ali head set same as the pne on yours but when i put it on all it did was wobble too much so now iv put the stock black plastic one on any idea as to why is doing this i checked the shaft and its true then i bought after one to make sure and its the same thing

  • Thanks

  • My mother said if I can't say anything nice don't say anything at all so...

  • awesome

  • good work and thanks for the tip. just crashed and have to replace the cross bar, and the bent guide bar.

  • you stated that you have crashed quite a bit. in viewing this video on the blade tracking looks like the main shaft may be slightly bent. what do you think?

  • @j70ruiz yeah your right, the main shaft is bent. you can clearly see it when he's is turning up the RPM

  • dangg i wonder how hard it is to track the blades on a real size helicopter

  • its a whole lot easier. We have a high speed camera we mount on the nose of the aircraft that tracks the position of the blades on the ground and in flight. It sends the readout to a unit we have called a CADU (forgot the meaning). This tells us how many turns to make on each pitch control rod and how much weight to add per blade.

  • @speedstakerguy

real heli Blades pretty much tracked the same way. Tracking tape, and some use eyeball, Others a machine/camera that does what a previous poster said, like the Cadu.. Which then tells you which pitch control rod to adjust

  • Good Video ..........At least someone is man enough to share some knowledge!!! Keep up the good work

  • do you have to put CA on the flybar paddle? or do you just leave it?

  • why would u do that?

  • extremely good job, but on my DX6i Blade 400 transmitter, i just do everything you've done, with my transmitter, in less that 3 minutes. Simples ;)

  • corona007 is obviously some body's mommy!

  • nice video thanks

  • This is a very unsafe practice of holding a heli while spooling it up in front of your face! What are yo going to do if you have a mechanical failure? Like a ball link popping off or a glitch on your TX, RX and decides to go full elevator or aileron? Also did you plug your heli before your TX? Hope you have good medical insurance!

    Take this video down please.

  • oh no safety Nazi ;) no corona0007 is right wear safety glasses kids, strap the machine down if u have to run it from a stand and if you can, hover the unit out front of you to set the trim. and like the video tells ya all ways turn the transmitter on first. can the video stay now please.

  • HA! Safety Nazi! BOOOOOOOO! good Vid! Corona, tie some rocks to your feet and go swimming.

  • @corona0007 you are such a pussy

  • I like your video the best. I was trying to see where you made the adjustment to lower the red blade on the tracking. This is my problem, I don't know which linkage to adjust to raise or lower the blade. Can you close video this? Thanks for the lessons-T

  • its very dangerous to plug up the heli before the radio.

the heli can pick up a tv signal from somewhere else and take off.

always turn the radio on first.

  • Nice video , thanks! has anyone said you sound like Frederick Hubbard Gwynne?

    :-)

  • Really good job. This video made me fix my G2 PE instead of toss it out. A lot of newbs (like me) will have and trash this heli many times before stepping up to the T-rex. Thanks Again ...

  • This is an amazing tutorial, thanks!

  • good job. can you adjust mine too??? wehre do you live???

  • wat heli is this?

  • belt cp i think.

  • walkera 36b

  • you never explained what you were doing when you lowered the blade, you just concentrated on showing how to unplug the battery and plug in the motor... duh???

  • Good video...

    Noobie question:

Is it ok to hide a wire anntenna inside a carbon rod...?

  • Thanks, really helped alot.

  • is this for the belt cp?

    thanks

    great vid!!

  • the finger :P

  • thanks for the vid! ALl the toher vids show what it does but doesnt show how to do it. Thanks!

  • DUDE SPEAK UP can hardly hear you.

  • Pliz check your hearing, or adjust your volume!!! =p I can hear it great. XD

  • the volume is fine! you can't hear

  • Thanks for the video!

I just set up my heli (protech zoom 425) using your video, and its now 200% more stable, hover is now easy !!

    Thanks again,

    Robbert (the Netherlands)

  • hey man nice vid, but i couldnt help notice some wd40 on your table...that stuff(eventually) will eat up the plastic in your heli if you use it as a lubricant..you can use silicon , or 3in 1 oil..but that stuff is evil

  • again, another great video!! 5 stars

  • Thanks for info vid it helps noobs like myself just got a hbk2 and these utube intructions are my only influence since I cant find anyone local to show me anything lol!! Nice knowledge your packin in that one thanks I went an got pitch gauge after watchin this an gettin closer to actually flyin every min.

  • You don't hover to check tracking and you certainly don't hold the heli. Doesn't matter what size it is. You spin it up till it gets "light-footed" and look at it from the side. If you can't get that far to the ground, put it on a table.

  • NEVER STOP BLADES WITH THE TIP OF YOUR FINGER!!! This is INSANE! You stop the blades with your open palm down and your fingers curved up. Also, I wouldn't use electrical tape as it would add extra weight to the blades. Go buy tracking tape. There is also a way to put the tape on but I can't draw here.

  • thanks for the tip i have always just used my finger.

  • I've seen a guy break his finger with his trex doing it that way. His finger slipped off, got caught between the flybar and a link and CRACK!

  • what you did there was really dangerous (blade tracking). you shouldn't be holding the helicopter when spooling up. that's not the proper way to do blade tracking.

  • with anything larger then this you should fly the unit but this is a 300mm rotor heli and this the best way for tracking i know.

  • still unsafe. it's not the size of the heli, it's the rpm in the motor when it's turning.

  • How do you do it?

  • the safe and proper way to do blade tracking is to fly the bird.

  • I real hate to admit when i'm wrong but the safest way to track is flying the machine though most of my veiwers haven't the skill yet to perform an eye level hover. i have had a blade break off at the root causing an interesting operating condition on my bench but i still continue the practice with safety glasses and care.

  • if your viewers cannot perform an eye level hover, the safe way to do blade tracking is grab a friend to watch the blades while the pilot is mainly condentrating to hover the bird. make sense mate!

  • Hi. I recently bought a walkera 36. I wonder if you could help me adjusting tail rotor. I think it's a tail rotor problem since when my helicopter lifts up a bit starts rotating to the left. Resuming I still cannot lift it up without being constantly trying to keep it stable in the air. Thank you, nice vid btw

  • I'm a new heli guy myself, this is basic and extremely important information. Thanks and keep up the good work.

  • thanks and thank you to all you guys for the positive feedback

  • Great video, thanks a lot, please continue to make more.

  • Awesome Video.

Excellent information for all RC Helicopter newbies ... lime me :O)

    Thank you.

  • very good lesson put in a way i could easily understand. i got alot of knowledge from the video. my trex doesnt want to stop spinning on its skids. i have tried everything and beginning to wondert if its faulty. any suggestions.i just want to fly away

  • Nice Video..

I noticed that your heli seams to be shaking rather mouch as you spin up..

I have just repeared my t-rex after my first crash.

After i adjusted the blade tracking i noticed that the heli was shaking just like yours.

Why is that? and is it normal?

  • the blades i have on are cheap crap carbon hobby and i was getting a vibrations as it spun up but after the machine got to speed it went away. with new ballanced blades there was no shake. if your blades are in ballance then i would check the main shaft for staightness.

  • what do you recomend for a 13 year old with no helicopter experiance what so over? i was thinging the esky lama v3 but aparently sometimes when you take it out of the package you have to do triming (triming???) and all sorts of stuff to get it to work

  • well the blade cp is a really nice little machine has no pitch control (fixed pitch) so no flying upside down but good resale value so when your ready you can up grade and it is really tough. trimming is somthing you need to do to all helicopters it just means setting every thing up so the machine flys straight. but over all fp (fixed pitch) machines tend to be more forgiving

  • ok thx

  • Nice video.

    Couldn´t done it better myself..

Keep the good work up mate.. :)

  • thanks

  • Pretty Good Real Big ! Thanks for taking the time !!!
