@wallofvideo It was great! I ate them in the 70's, also known as "bell burger." I only learned today they were called bellbeefer, they were really good. Basically it was like a sloppy joe with their meat and yes it was much better than today's recipe for their meat. Not much of a taco fan I ordered those along with a cup of refried beans ( they sold them separate with real refried beans, not mush). After seeing my pinch of beef (not 1 1/2 oz's) taco last night I surfed TB comm.. for memories.

A few moons ago, I ordered two original tacos from this establishment. Moments later after my order was done, I unwrapped the taco....SURPRISE...there was no meat and cheese, nothing but a pound of lettuce on one taco and the other one was a finished product. I spoke to one of the employees and asked the synonymous question and they gave me a runaround in a sarcastic manner, even the manager was sarcastic too.

Hey, I worked at one in about that time period. No customers came dressed-up like that for the 10:30 AM opening. Beefy Tostadas were on the menu with that one slice of olive on the top. Bellbeefers also served. As far as "that fresh food taste," it wasn't fresh then either. Back then, when a customer wanted to share their "good food" with me, they would throw it at me. Fortunately, with fast reflexes I was able to duck, with the tacos and burritos ending up being splattered on the wall.
