hey i live in cape cod in town named sandwich (i know i know but yes the town is sandwich)

is there softwear that can be loaded into the reality to have this feature added? I have the reality and love it. I pretty much use it like a smart phone but I also text about 500 texts a day so that voice to text feature would be awesome!!!

the second time you held the phone closer to your mouth. The first time is was held away from your mouth. It picks up better as if you was talking to a person a distance away!

@branmantcb Good point. I have actually gotten a lot better at it! The Androids all have audible search and text boxes and I use them a lot. I just talk slower and with a little bit more diction and they seem to do great.

Nice review - thanks! I wonder if your VERY slight accent isn't causing part of the problem. It seems that most recognition is set on vowels and the extremely hard parts of the consonants. Your volume dropped a time or two on your examples. On the other hand, I was POSITIVE the cape cod example would have worked. Thanks!

What an excellent question. I switched it to Spanish and got to the text message, when I hold down the voice key, nothing happens so, no it doesn't work. I went back to English and said Hola, Que pasa? and it didn't get it at all. Sorry.

No, I don't keep them, I use them long enough to do a review and get the hang of all the features, then I switch when a new phone comes out. The company I work for pays for them and its actually kind of expensive because when I get one put on my line, I am not getting a new activation so the phone cost us the "No commitment pricing."

Yes you can do text to voice by going to settings and tools, phone settings, voice commands then scroll down and turn on txt msg readout

Instead of viewing them in the order they cam, you view them by contact so you can follow the whole conversation with each person.

you were having trouble with the touch screen because you have those fake fingernails on.

Also, Button is pronounced with both T's.BuTTon not "buh-in" pronounce the T's.

Just like when you said " I din't get "eah-in" by any sharks..pronounce the T!

Nope, you cannot do that.

The screen will only actually turn sideways when you open the phone, otherwise it stays the same way.

I'm taking my Glyde back to the Verizon store this weekend to get a replacement. My phone doesn't receive text or voice messages until like 3 days after they come in, which is really a problem. I hope I get the Rogue, as I've had about 2 or 3 Glydes since last November, when I switched from a Chocolate II. Is this a problem for these phones? Cellular Chloe or someone, please help me! Thanks!

i know when i tried to take my glyde back to the verizon store recently they said they dont swap out phones anymore so ur better off callin the insurance people. thats how i got the rogue for free

wow im gettin this phone in the mail today. i had a glyde(7 of them since they came out) i got my 7th 1 2 weeks ago and on sunday it wouldnt charge anymore. so they said they dont make glydes anymore so they were going to send me the u960. im like ok i dont know what that is and they told me the rogue still didnt know what it was until now. wow. voice to text = BEAST!!!

your having a trouble with the touch screen because your using your fingernails, if you use the pad of your finger it wont mess up, and by the way its because you talk weird...

So will the phone also read you the text message when you get one?

It does have digital dial readout, which means that it will read digits back to you when you dial but I could ot get it to read a text back. I know some phones had that ability, I think the Motorola Krave had it and the LG Versa but I'm not able to get this to do it. The setting would be under sound settings and there's nothing like that except the digital dial readout.

It typed pretty much exactly what it sounded like she was saying. These things are picky even with numbers you have to speak slowly and give it a good amount of time between pauses for words for it to work right. Still a great phone though and the screen is amazing.
