I've heard that a Cold Stone franchise is the worst franchise you could possibly invest in. Five of six of them in our immediate area have all gone belly up. Anybody else have information on Cold Stone and its failure rate?
Dear God, I want to get a job at Coldstone now. I would make this my life. lol. How long until you were able to do all of this? And how long did you work there?
what i want to know is how can you guys toss the ice cream after mixing and having a whole bunch of gunk on the spades and not have to get them wet in the spadewell first. i just dont get it haha i've tried plenty of times...trust me. St. Louis Coldstone!

liquids go first? is that what the "new" technique is? these videos were made a couple years ago when cold stone was at its prime i think. mixing the "liquids" after gave the ice cream a nice swirl of caramel or fudge rather than it blending in with the ice cream.
not what would you do if you did this with and the q came unannounced while you were mixing the wrong way...cut cut fold fold,.....wet dry loose lol its all good my cold stone sucks compared to yours =D
I used to LOVE working there! Extremely fun job. It's always nice to find one that still does all the fun stuff and sings for tips!! They're hard to find around here anymore. :(
There were people that could toss up the ice cream and then catch it when I worked there. Someone got it stuck on the ceiling. I never could though. Great video! Brings back fun memories.

All I used to do was flip the spades, and flair the bottles, but now I toss the ice cream thanks you these vids. I would love to do the rainbow toss. I would bank on tips if I did that!
for sure you have to wet the spade...flick it to let most of the water out...you have to be quikk though..i shoould know im the inly one that des this at my store =]
Hey! Amazing video. I do a bit of flipping myself; flipping the ice cream while still on the spade into the bowl. How do you guys do the tossing though? One of my co-workers does the juggling but he wets the spade first. From what ive seen in the video, you guys dont wet your spades. Everytime I try the ice cream is stuck to the spade.
All in the wrists my friend, no need to wet the spades. Plus that just looks gross. To me anyway, dirty dip well, back into the ice cream. Use some muscle and technique to get it off of the spade without lubrication.
Aaaah we're not that awesome (my coworkers at cold stone here) nor nowhere near that talented. We got some tossing, some spade flipping, but nothing with that kind of awesome.
