*wow- I played this to my Mom and she said "what a sin":..he was picked on 30 years ago when she was a teenager and he still being picked on years later. Wow. poor man.
oh my GOD!!!!!! Raymond Huey!!! I believe I spelled his last name right. There a face that I haven,t thought of for years. I have fond memories of him and it was an absolute sin the way some kids tormented him, as in other comments before without him even knowing he's being mocked. I know there were kids who would lie to him and say it was there birthday, and Ray would give the bastards money!!!
I remember Raymond well. I remember him being kind, but the butt of many teenager's jokes. I felt bad for him then, even if he didn't know what was going on most of the time, because most of those who teased him did so under the guise of being friendly to him. But I always thought he was a very nice old fella and always treated him with respect during my "mall rat" days. Sad to know he's gone.. :(
Huh. Last time I was in Bridgewater was back in 1984 and it looks like the mall has not changed much since then.. I am not sure if Raymond was around when I was there yet the name sounds familiar. TY for sharing this.
Raymond Huey, oh he was famous in Bridgewater. Everyone knew of him....poor guy passed away back in 1996 or so. But I remember seeing him when I lived in Bwater. RIP Raymond...you entertained many...even if only for our entertainment.
