  • Do you remember Tony Chop Chop aka Tony Costa, the ONLY serial killer in the history of Truro, MA in the 1970s. I know his kids. They wrote a book about him called "In His Garden." Tony Costa murdered women, ate their hearts and buried them in his pot garden in Truro, MA, not far from where I lived a couple of years after he committed suicide in prison. I read the book and saw the pics. He was a taxidermist. But he was already dead, I believe, when the woman was found in the dunes

  • @PDumas. Remember what I said. I already told Warren Tobia years ago and he didn't believe me. I have first-hand knowledge about this case. But b/c of who these two men were, I COULD NOT tell the police when they were still alive. My life was already in danger. It was NOT Normal Mailer, the author. Now, since I confronted one of the "alleged" murderers family member, his book has been deleted off any search engine. The movie is a Hiroshi Teshigara film w/ the same name.

  • @Pllm30. One of the guys was a former cop.

  • @EJade40 real obvious these two men you speak of were looking for 15 minutes of fame, just like that one man who came forward (john carr) about Jon Benet. I don't think they did this. It could have been an old corrupt police officer who did this. Hard to believe such a small area and they can't solve this. Some say Hadden Clark did it.

  • Thanks for promoting this. I wonder if they ever suspected the gangster that was accused of shooting at a police officer with this one. That guy was a suspect in other murders and disappearances on the Cape.

  • I wonder why her profile hasnt been uploaded into NAMUS yet?

  • Every sketch looks like that of a different person.

  • Wow. I have seen enough to know to say that I have seen too much.

  • i had learned about her just last night from a tv show called Haunting Evidence. They even said the killer has kids now and gave the car up he drove in to one of them. its surprises me that not even after thiry plus years, guilt has not cause this man to go crazy and step up and say "Yea i'm the dirty fool who took her life" i think its very sad that nobody knows who she is. how can anybody think they have the right to take someones life and then just abandon her out there. never understand.

  • The forensic artist managed to convey her beauty, even in death. And God bless Chief Tobias for never giving up.

  • it is strange that as advanced as science is that they are having trouble finding out who she is? If they have DNA-with geneology obessions searches in this country why doesn't her bloodline show its self, it seens I remember years ago there was a mummified woman found in florida with expencive dental and health care, back in the 80-90's it was on unsolved mysteries I think? if her family could afford $10,000 in dental it seems they would be looking for her?what about whacko denist-college kids?

  • they have to have someone missing to match her with

she may not have been reported, as is the case, you would be surprised how many ppl don't realize they should report missing loved ones for this very reason

sometime ppl think the person just ran away, and they are actually deceased

    so sad

  • its odd that the murder cut off her hands in 1974.. when did finger prints become avalible, murder also put her on a towel, folded her jeans under her head, they must have been a part of her life, and with the dental changes,it could be that they were experimenting with her and knew she wanted to go back out into the world, and couldn't risk public attention, but they must of selfishly loved her, because of the care.A DNA database should be for more than crimals, marriages and births get blood test

  • the ladies dental changes could of altered her appearance, even if she was reported, I wonder if when they took her DNA in 2002 if they looked for any other changes to her natural self. I remember back in the 90's or late 80's a lady was found in Florida mumified and they said she had expensive dental and other things, I don't know if they ever figured out who she was either, I tried to find it on the net after I viewed this, I think it was on unsolved mysteries, genology is the bloodline search

  • I would of searched every student in all schools studing any subject that might of helped in the knowledge the murder seemed to have .. especiall those that didn't complete courses, because many people in the 50/60/70's were want to be inventers and private lads could sell experiments freely especally when they went out of biz, I have seen things at fairs and carnivals bought from labs back in the 70's before it was outlawed. people don't complete courses so they want be over qualified, knowledge

  • Such a tragedy that such a beautiful woman had to die in such a grisly way.

This reminds me a bit of the "Bella in the wych elm" story.

I hope they identify this woman.

This senseless murder happened in my state.

  • This case was just featured on an episode of "Haunting Evidence" that I just watched, made in 2006. Its sad to see that she had not yet been identified.

  • So sad. She was probably just having a nice time at the beach and some idiot had to kill her. So sad. I hope she will have closure soon. God bless. RIP, Lady In The Dunes "Jane Doe".

  • Thank you so much for passing this on...let her be Lady of The Dunes no more...

  • I think they should do some forensic work on her teeth to find out who her dentist was.

They know her dental work was done in New York considering she had about 10,000 dollars worth of work done.

  • Should her dental record be available somewhere?

  • Hopefully her case will get into the new government database, NaMus. They have a wonderful Odontologist who would review her records, and glean more information about her dentition.

  • @soulfoxx thanks for this loving memory of this poor soul. I just bought a condo in Ptown and ocassionally think of this tragedy when i'm bikeriding thru the dunes. Although she will probably never by identified at this point - memory goes on with this video.

  • Another amazing presentation. Clearly you "feel" these cases. I wonder how much it would cost to take up a collection and get these videos you did aired as public service announcements during CSI or Oprah? Come to think of it maybe we should all send the link to your presentations TO these shows. Maybe they will be interested in airing them because these are about as professinal appearing as I have seen.
