There are SO many brand names on ebay that are fake, MAC, Benefit etc...also if anyone is looking to buy MAC brushes, get them from their site or a stall, sellers on ebay claim to seel 24 set of MAC brushes, LOL, MAC DO NOT and never have sold a set of 24, only very small sets like 5 brushes. I also bought a fake MAC liner, so upset!

It's awful that ebay allow something like this. Amazon is okay though, the genuine companies sell through them, but if you're not sure go to a store or their site!

@renogoloso Fake ones aren't tested, you could be putting some harmful stuff on your face, like lead. If money is tight use drugstore products. Wet n wild is great for eyeshadow, revlon for lip sticks and maybelline for eyeliner or mascara.

I'm a bit confused. @7:00 the "that gal" primer I received doesn't have the buildings touching or the foil on the opening but it does have a pleasant strawberry-like smell. I don't have a real one to compare it to, so are there any other differences besides the height?

Thank you. Your video and others helped me so much. I looked for information about fake Benefit cosmetics before buying on Ebay because I suspected for relatively cheap prices.

I think the differences between false and true are made on purpose. I think they could make counterfeiting identical to actual products, but not made to avoid legal problems.

What they're doing is still very much illegal, differences or not. They're using Benefits logo and product names which is not allowed, not to mention the sale of these items is conning people out of money by purposely misleading them. To make it legal, the fakes would have to change names of products.. but then everyone would know they're not real so wouldn't buy them!

Great video - thanks to you I discovered that I had purchased a fake confessions of a concealaholic - my box was exactly as you described your fake box, even down to the serial number 9X02 on the back of the box and 9W02 on the back of the that gal tube. I purchased mine from a company through Amazon! I'll always buy from a department store in the future.

I hope you send this video to ebay, this counterfeit practice is costing them a lot of business as now many people are scared to buy from that site.

I don't understand why sellers don't have to be more stringent about where they get their supplies from, at least they should know what they are selling. Anyone who compared both palettes side by side could distinguish real from fake.

Thank you for posting this. Perhaps this will help others to be cautious about any online purchases from Ebay. I haven't had any trouble myself, but one never knows. When my Husband was in China he said that manufacturing companies like this are everywhere and they make anything and everything that has a market . Terrible to think that it happens more than we know. Very unhealthy also you just don't know what's in these products.
