I'm sorry, but be honest with yourselves. America may have started many wars, but look, they barely won any of them. WWII, we had to throw a bomb at Japan to shut them up. In Europe, it was a fair victory, but required a large alliance. In Korea, we helped push back, but with the intervention of Chinese forces, the US had to retreat. Vietnam, USA retreated after getting almost nowhere with the guerrilla attacks. Middle East, definitely pacified, but not a victory. Now days conquering is harder.

American infantry also lost in Vietnam - no argument there. Korea was a stalemate and thousands of American infantry were buried there also. Iraq is a failed state, another US blunder. Afghanistan is the next lost war for America. WW2 - Stalin and Churchill saved your ass.

That is why in Iraq and Afghanistan, Gen. Petreus ROE of counterinsurgency was developed to minimize collateral damage and civilian killings.

US infantry lost a few battles - ex. Battle of LZ Albany in the Ia Drang Nov. 1965 where 2nd Battalion 7th Air Cavalry of the 101st Airborne was ambushed and practically destroyed.

If the Korean Cease Fire ends and the war starts again the South will win easily, even if China tries to help (And with the US having troops in SK they won't be that stupid this time). I think the Koreas will fight eachother when WW3 starts and everyone's distracted, either fighting China or supplyonh the allies with weapons. (WW3: China invades Indea, The US and Commonwealth member nations join the fight, Russia may or may not join. Germany and Japan will likly supply the allies with weaponds).
