It's not Hong Kong it's Detroit where this was shot for the movie, that's probably why the uploader told him to shut the fuck up. Not the most communicative things to say, but he's right.
i like the fight scenes, except for the part where he's holding the dude's gun arm and draws back for like an hour for that right hook that was just lame the dude would've blocked or something.
That's the only thing that sucks about The Dark Knight: The fight scenes. I can understand that there aren´t that many fight scenes in general, there are better and more important things. But that really failed, considering the big build up of Bruce's skills in B.Begins. All this training and cool ninja stuff and then this:
Batman does a right hook...he even had to slowly swing back for that.
Well, if Christian Bale isn´t that talented in combat scenes, they could have at least used a double
@FingySquasherXD dude, have u studied any fighting? any fighter would kill to get a chance to swing a hook like that no matter how trained they are. and besides, he uses his right arm to block the guys gun, then does a chest pinch with his left hand (which is a common keysi move), and while doing this he lines up a killer knockout right hook. im a boxer and that shit is more a true representation than that fake hollywood ballet shit most people are used to seeing.
@FingySquasherXD I agree with you. Even though this fighting style is more realistic, it isn't what we were brought up with. Batman is meant to be very athletic. I would have liked to have seen a little bit more of that in the fight scenes instead of just hs brute strength.
Nice technology and gliding scene, but poor in hand-to-hand combat. They should hire an action instructor from Hong Kong action cinema, just like the Matrix trilogy did.
This scene alone shows that this film is an all out epic that I don't think any other action film this year will hold candle to these action scenes. I love how Nolan has all these epic battles from Hong Kong to the chase scene with the Joker and Batman and it never feels too much it always has a nice balance to it.
the suit he has in this scene is when he JUST gets it from lucius fox, his supplier. the one from the start of the movie he exchanged because he couldnt turn his head very well. the armor was stronger, but not as flexible as this new one. the long-ass cape is for gliding like he does in this scene
Hey Ragitsu, Batman fired "those sticky breaching charges" from the top floor of the IFC Tower 2 to IFC Tower 1. I did a mathematical and found that Batman fired "those sticky breaching charges" for about 1003 feet!
How I made this calculation is that I subtracted the height of the IFC Building 2 (on which Batman jumped) with the height of the IFC Building 1 (where Mr. Lau is), giving me the height difference of the building, which is 205 meter. I then went onto Google Map and found that the building is 227 meter apart. Since Height difference Square + Distance Square = the answer Square, I found that Batman shot those sticky charges for about 305.86 meters. Since you requested feet, I converted it.
I've been 2 hong kong this summer and i saw that building that batman was standing in, and many other more! I had no idea that they shoot the movie there!
wow, this is so batman. i don't know why there weren't scenes like this in previous batman movies. this looks like something out of the animated series of the comics. amazing stuff.
A lot of Begins was directly inspired by the Animated series. It can be argued that they were simply inspired by the comic book, but a lot of the action was too similar to be coincidental. Either way, this movie is a little over a week away; Titanic, prepare to be dethroned.
They need to make all these movie Batsuits more mobile.

@TheYogman12 No it is Hong Kong, that's the IFC, and there are other distinctive places in this scene.

@FingySquasherXD They are good fight scenes that could have been better filmed. Fancy choreography isnt always called for.
The bike chase is pish though, granted. Even the car chase in begins is over-edited..
Fight scenes in dark knight, for me, just never seem to "get going"...they keep stopping and starting.
