It should be Shepard as the 'Messiah' (his warnings of the approaching reapers, Prothean visions and savior of humanity) and Garrus as the 'Pariah' (Turian Rebel who left c-sec to play by his own rules.)

As I was listening to this I noticed something. Shepard is nearly everything the song mentions. The Good and the Evil. The Soldier, mayrter and victim. The prophet, the liar, and the honest. Leader, pariah, and messiah. The only thing he isn't is a civilian.

Oddly interesting that the song fits so well and some what frightening that one character has so many facets, even for a protaganist...
