  • Great lesson and thankyou for sharing

  • This lesson was fantastic. Going to get my picking out of the shit and into the......

  • yeah i need to practice finger picking cause my right hand is lacking. this video is perfect.

  • Hey, is there a little bit of chorus? I really like that slightly modulated sound - reminds me of Albert Lee's sound in recent times. Are you using any chorus? What model and what settings did you use?

    Thanks for any help!

And a great lesson, too! :)

  • NICE LESSON AND NICE GUITAR.

  • @diabolododson Sorry, but my girlfriend doesn't like to hear me speak either, so this is my only outlet. :)

  • can you please tell me the exact model strat you're using?

  • @jewelfewel It's an Eric Johnson signature strat. Thanks!

  • defiantly the best on you tube

  • When you pluck the strings in that first excersice, do you have to hit all the strings or just the E B and A?

  • video is helpful!

  • This is an exciting lesson! I've just now become interested in hybrid picking and this lesson both makes its point and makes the technique extremely interesting. I'll be coming back for more! Thank you!!

  • This is cool, I am primarily a classical guitarist, and was thinking about using Giuliani's right hand studies for hybrid picking, but you already did it! Great idea for sure, and I'm glad you agree :p

  • Excellent intro into hybridpicking. A lot here to analize, digest and practice. Thanks

  • Carl, nice lesson - looking forward to the rest of the series

  • Thanks Dude! Awesome!

  • why is it almost every guitar i ever play open (electric guitar that is) the chords all sound horribly out of tune lol even when each of the strings are fine. intonation? would the string gauge effect it? i'm an acoustic person mainly but idk

  • @iwannacapo mine is the same acoustic in tune at top frets and out a semi tone around the 8th fret on, why is this?

  • @dealer205 what kind of guitar is it? like what brand and model? cause some guitars just don't have teh same quality. but if its a high quality guitar i can't really answer the question sorry

  • @iwannacapo Guitars are hard to get all the way in tune. When you get open chords sounding good then chances are your bar shaped chords are gonna be a little out of tune. The best I've found is to tune it where they are both SLIGHTLY out of tune but correct that with your playing habits.

  • Your videos have helped me so much, I'm gonna mess with my budget so that I can send you some cash. Thanks a lot.

  • @jonsolo1038 LOL, thanks a lot man. I really appreciate the support!! Cheers!! Carl..

  • Lick Library is being given a run for their money.

  • Man this is to cool for school, I think this is the start of something great.

Drop the pick you are playing classical, keep the pick Country and Jazz comes to mind.

i watched this late I was up half the night pick cool song that use this technique some not to hard like Say John Mayer.

The Chain and Gold dust woman banjo licks on a guitar sound cool the whole Rumors album, MP3 LOL or CD LOL

That's right my boy Eric can play this in his sleep.

    Rock on
