  • Well , whatever they say in this video , much is happening around the world regarding new propulsionmethods , The plasma drive and the ECR . Electron cycloton resonance engine or the Ramjet or a bigass solarsail , There r ways 2 get outside our solarsystem

  • haha.. what a joke !

the psuedo-intellectuals always talking about the theorhetical as if it were factual ,, all for the sake of sustaining the bullshit and hoping their Fed welfare (grants) get extended again so they don't have to find real jobs.

  • I love the idea of FTL travel through space, but time travel is asking for trouble

  • The idea of a wormhole is about as valid as the Loch Ness monster. Seriously..

  • @Shenmue3Now Valid? Or sound?

  • If a wo hole could take you through tje fanric of space and time making it posible to go into the paat might it not also be called a time portal allowing you to travel to the future?

  • Voyager 1 and 2 are almost in intersteller space.

They are just on out edge of our helio sphere.

So we are almost in Intersteller space already??

  • @dokotje Yes and your point is............?

  • well...since there are more people in our lifetime= more astronomers= fast production.

  • I was the 10,000 viewer! Thumbs up!!

  • Isn't that time travel as well? and also it's just teleportation? so it's deportation and time travel in one? so it's basically space-time travel. But so is driving space-time travel because you have to travel through space -time to get from London to Glasgow, because you have to move in time which takes time to get from one location of space to another. SO, if you could warp this space, to get from London to Glasgow this would be time travel as it shorten the time, but hang on? its space-time

  • Does this remind anyone else of Event Horizon? Especially when he demonstrates the wormhole.

  • I wonder when will intergalactic travel be possible.

  • @lightningwar123 At a certain point in the future, we can travel do 'other galaxy' even without traveling, as Andromeda is colliding with our own galaxy.

  • it seems like some day what we say in star wars and star trek will become a reality.

  • someday man will go into space and colonize the galaxy but inevitably some of these colonies may collapse then re-arise or someday become unaware they were once part of a great empire, they may have collapsed and only soon re-arised and they would pressume they are the first civilization. but there is a twist.... formaybe that civilization is us.

  • one word ..... bull shit!.

  • How will we MAKE a worm hole? Also, wouldn't it be at least 1000 years before we can travel to different stars? And for intergalactic travel, it's like 10,000 years... And by then, wouldn't humans be far more intelligent and wouldn't they have evolved by then? Please reply quickly.

  • @cdlsd well no one knows do they, who knows what we could come up with in the distant or not so distant future...new things are invented everyday and i dont think it will be long before we can travel to other stars, a few 100 years yes but still not that long if you think about it...and yes your right we will evolve more and become more intelligent.

  • me from space robotruss

  • They'll never reach the heavens. It is too vast for the humans. Only when we die will we see things open and new again free and alive.

  • people will look at this video in the 24th century and say ha I go to gliese 581d for my holidays every year and back in the 21st century they only imagined interstellar travel

  • @deanmullen10 In the 24 century, A trip to Gliese 581 d would be a cakewalk.

  • @deanmullen10 lol its just like back in the 16th century where they only imagined crossing the ocean :D

  • @Jimbob8971 haha yeah, and it doesn't end there, they'll prob have Inter-Galactic travel someday, Inter-universal travel someday and then even Inter-Dimesnional travel haha, Inter-planetary travel is only the beginning.

  • we need a new engine other than the combustion engine

  • I think than this video is very good, because it shows an interesting idea that one day might reperesent our near future.

  • the only way to travel is to build a machine that reaches the speed of light.

    (from discovery channel)

  • Star Trek is too soon, the show ENTERPRISE is only the mid 22nd century. By the Star Trek era we will yes have interplanetary travel within our own solar system but thats it there will be no warp drive or usable wormholes/

  • I believe its not impossilbe but it wont happen in the near future on a time scale of 500 to 1000 years I think we will have found the answer. The only option I can think of now is to send A craft with its passengers frozen but it will take at best 72.000 years to reach Proxima Cen, 4 light years away so its a long journey. rulling that out that we must invent a machine that can send you to very far off places using a wormhole or warp drive, and that is centuries away

  • You can't go back in time. It creates a paradox which makes it impossible. You can however go back to a Parallel universe, but then that gets into a whole other topic. Although if you could go back in time it would do nothing and no one would know the difference, because in the future you've already gone back in time. If time travel will happen in far future, it is possible that the person that will go to past will reach our near future, therefore 'time travel' wouldn't have happened yet.

  • if it's possible to bend space/time to make two points of location in space come together then in the bending of space and time are you bending all of space and time or are you somehow just bending a specific portion of space and time? it appears that spacetime is a cosmic fabric so either you bend along the entire length or you only bend a portion. which is it?

  • Rofl, seamans.

  • the thing about worm holes is, you never know where the hell you'll pop out at. Lost in Space anyone, not my idea of ok. Also there is no 180 degree turn and go back the way you came

  • @fistacuff56 They could measure direction and time to the billionth of a degree to come out somewhere near where they want to. Assuming they know what the ratio of time in the wormhole is to the total distance they want to travel.

  • @csbob2004 compared to how vast the universe is, do you think a billionth of a degree is at all accurate, forgive my optimism but I'm am still a bit skeptical, however, whatever helps us to reach the goal of interstellar space travel is a welcome Idea to me.

  • @fistacuff56 I wasn't saying exactly a billion....could be way more. I'm just saying in theory it sounds feasible.

  • Bend and accelerate spacetime around the craft much like an airfoil works on an automobile. Air flow is spacetime and a snow flake is space debris. The space debris goes around the craft and not into it. An ultra compact particle accelerator would bend and accelerate spacetime around the craft. This might be like creating a worm hole. Antimatter would be stored in the matter state until need then bombarded with a nuclear fuel source.

  • didnt these people ever see event horizon? start making worm holes and you get fucked by a interdimensional beings who come from hell.

  • Exactly...

  • No one knows what black hole is. My theory is that it is also a wormhole. It takes you to different dimension, different time or different parts of the universe. Let me add something else to it, may be black hole connects two universe. Because I believe there is no universe, there are multiverse.

  • i think realities is the term better used. :) since there can be more than one realities and everything is realitive. e.g. time and space

  • @sadiamel Again it's just theories, really nice sounding theories although I don't think it is probably exactly like that, it would be simply amazing if we could get something through the black hole without completely breaking apart.

  • some people thing that we are limited by nature and were not as prof of this. In your labs we have produced lower temperatures than anywhere else in the universe this is because there is vestigial radiation with a temperature of about 2-3 kelvin and there are no natural objects nor areas in the universe with much lower temperatures proving that humans are able of things not even nature can do, our potential as a race is infinite

  • We have barely explored our own solar system, let alone other parts of the universe. Dont hold your breath on this one.

  • A whole new technology?.... A whole new science because current science does not allow it.

We will be worrying about the Y9K virus long before we travel to the stars.

  • hey don't be pessimistic :D

  • Lol. I'm not totally a killjoy. I eagerly anticipate the exploration of our Solar system especially Europa, Encelidus and Titan. Also the Cydonia region of Mars where all those curious pyramids are.

I may be a little pessimistic about inter-stellar travel, but not space travel. There is lots to explore right here in Sol and the technolodgy either exists or is very close.

  • interstellar space will be a reality within 50 years.

creating a quantum bridge (worm hole) that is very small but just big enough to send through pico sized technology at first.

then expanding the bridge to accommodate nano bots that are capable of self replicating will allow use to travel interstellar.

  • Well, I certainly hope you are right. I have always considerred such manipulation of the very fabric of space/time to be a very far off technoloddgy, but the use of 'Von Nuemann' type machines as you describe would certainly be a safe means of exploring the concept.

I am still somewhat pessimistic regarding the cost factor, I don't know that govt.s can be persuaded to fund space exploration more, and weapons technolodgy less.

Anyway, I share your enthusiasm my friend.

  • We live in the 3rd dimension in order to truly master interstellar travel we need to master the fourth (space) and fifth (time) dimensions. To do this we must harnass the four elements of the Universe: EM (electromagnetism), Gravity and the weak and strong nuclear forces The amount of energy required to 'warp" space and time and thus travel through the 4th and 5th dimensions is staggering. Fused energy greater than the sun is necessary and directed at one point in space to produce a "wormhole".

  • don't just dream wormhole else theory, how do you carry out actually?

  • this is a baby video, its all a load of BS

  • Black holes are much-touted as "the way to travel faster then light". But how would one survive such intense radiation flux and the enormous gravity? Gravity that would not only stretch you and tear you and your ship apart even before you got close, but even tear the atoms apart in your body?

  • We know that UFOs & USOs are real, namely Flying Saucers & Cylinders. If those are factual, and they are most not ours, then whose are they? And if they are not of this Earth, does not that reinforce the fact that interstellar travel is possible? Think about it.

  • .....

  • @ImperatorDerGalaxis

This thing of humans what they say about the speed of light, is just bullcrap. We always beliefed that we coulsn't go faster than the speed of sound, but we have break that speed limit on earth. I belief, if we have a new super tecnology we can go faster than the speed of light. UFO and USO didn't travel 10,000 year to planet earth. Those aliens just know to travel faster than the speed of light. To me, thats is the most logic conclusion!

  • I wanna be the first motherfucker to see a new galaxy, or find a new alien lifeform... and fuck it

  • we cannot travel at the speed of light because the higher the speed, for some odd reason, the mass of the object increases. however at faster than light travel the mass decreases and it becomes easier to accelerate. however we do not know the effect the transition will have on the human body or superluminal flight itself. and gravity actually reverses when at superluminal speeds.

  • This is very..how should i say it..simple!? At a matter of fact, wormholes are nothing more then a mindgame and are never have been observed in nature or thrue experiments. So the chance that this things are really exist are next to nothing or if they exist you can not fly a spaceship through them because they are far to small and short-living(ie they only maybe exist in a quantum scale). But then again, what do i know. Maybe there is a way but what i am certain of, we do need a paradigm change.

  • unfortunately, very few people realized that human intelligence has been devolutionizing since around the 1950s. mass media, entertainment corporations and porn have all been factors of this devolution. the movie Idiocracy had the right idea, lol.

  • there is no such thing as devolution

  • yes, there is.

i'm too lazy to explain it to you right now.

  • Though, there is such a thing as Devilution!!!

...some people from Kansas would claim

  • evolution for some

    means extinction to

    others....them non evolutive creatures

feel that there is a de evolution

    is like... todays society

    is happening right now

    let loosers loose

    and ...evolve on

    the next level

  • now in proper sentences please

  • Devolution is a political term.

  • agreed

  • @Zuurkool1

    two words; trailer park

  • @Zuurkool1 You haven't met my Uncle Bob.

  • nonsense, just because there is stupid shit on tv doesnt bring down our iq... and porn? come on. if you really think that makes one less intelligent than you are pretty much an idiot. also, if it were true that people were becoming less intelligent, that's still no devolution... thats just a popular term, everything that changes for the good or worse is evolution

  • *Clears throat*

Nah, I will just explain this to you on your channel page.

  • I hope there will be wormholes in the future and I think they are awesome. and they are the best use for not only rapid interstellar travel but rapid intergalactic travel. Travelling to other galaxies as well as other star systems and other universes and can be used as time machines to the remote past or the distant future.

  • Einstein was wrong time to move on to rational thinking

Wormhole = Tunnel to China = Jacob's Ladder

time to get out of fantasy

  • maybe these worm holes exists and we don't even need to create them, black holes could be one? The problem is how can we test them and verify the results. Too bad it won't happen in my lifetime.

  • I wouldn't say worm holes are the answer for interstellar travel but Field Resonance Propulsion

    watch?v=qla4CJGBGvs&feature=channel_page

  • i think black holes are like holes in space. due to infinite gravity they just compress matter to a point of infinite smallness. unlike wormholes which are actually tunnels through space. But i also think... maybe... if we could create 2 black holes simultaneously with finite gravity we could form 2 holes with a tunnel between. but the energy required would be incredible.

  • Unless the government figures out a way of extending life magically from thier ass.

  • time dilation

  • just learn from some frogs

    or

    other creatures

    go to ''sleep''

and let the machine do the traveling

you will awake on another system

    no worries on

    time or distance

    and ...

  • @bigqwertycat Yes but your body will still age, unless you are cryogenically frozen and technology in the near future allows one to be revived from the cryogenically frozen state. Of course, no one knows how to revive someone from this state, at least to my knowledge.
