  • Hey. I talk to myself. Sometimes my voice creeps in and when I am posting statuses to FB, I argue with myself. Its embarrassing. NO it isnt? why must you always reject me? Shut up! this is MY time and I dont want to hear from you right now! Whatever, bitch, just be that way. I WILL. you have issues, dude. NO I DONT! Yes, you do. Youre talking to yourself. Of course i am talking to myself, who else can I trust? Me, of course@! I cant trust you, no. Thats a shame, cuz i would help you alot.

  • your hot call me.

  • wow thank you for sharing! the only mood stabilizer ive tried is abilify and it ended up with me in the psych ward.. so i was sorta nervous today when i was prescribed tegretol. it really helped you mentioned your negative side effects with lithium, because that was one of the other meds we discussed me trying. i also have a underactive thyroid... anyway, dont know how it ended up with you, but its at least comforting for me taking it on my first day :)

  • what does spelling have to do with serious health issues.is that just a joke,i am in withdrawal.,because 14 years of paxil and forgetting to get refills happens to all of us sooner or later.its been years for me,like maybe 5.now i remember why its sooo important not to forget.i feel dizzy, confused, and pretty messed up.i,m sensitive to others and i just want others to get well.if u can avoid paxil, please do.but once u start this drug good luck in quitting it.everyone is always telling me to.

  • I'm bipolar and when everything else failed, I turned to exercise, which led me to nutrition... anyway. i was bad, now i'm in college, and in great physical shape, and i owe it all to God. :P If you want to know more. message me.

  • @neirfane You are lucky.

  • @neirfane Hi, I am glad that you got over it with God. Nothing is impossible to Him. Let us submit ourselves to God in prayer, this world would be much better. Thanks for your post. Happy n blessed 2012

  • for all those who do suffer from various forms of metal illness do not let doctors convince you that drugs are the only way there are other solutions

  • FUCK! MEYY!

  • does anyone know if i can change from lithium to carbamazepine? I'm monopolar depressive, not bipolar, this means I have only depressive episodes

  • @calogerods Its not that great for depression... better for mania...

  • My dear, bipolar simply means that you have super-intelligent moments with a burn-out period hence the term bipolar. I have these symptoms as well, and I choose not to be on meds for they reduce my creativity. I enjoy following my heart and living on a whim, but living in society as a bipolar person is challenging to say the least. Society and BIPO's don't mix very well. Society does not admire creativity which bipolar individuals are masters of. Lithium only removes excessive creativity.

  • @smpwast3d It also meant me trying to end my life at least ten times a year so I needed meds. Two years on I've never been better.

  • @shoegalsho2 I know a better cure for bipolarism... Ever tried psilocybin mushrooms? I am not kidding.. Look into it. Look at my channel description regarding this issue and watch my series called "cures to the world" found on my channel. It may have you think twice. Be love.

  • I was diagnosed with bipolar when I was 12 and am now 24.... I take lithium for it and it has helped me lead a ''normal'' life. I recently found out that it is doing serious damage to my skin so I am recomended to change my medication after it working so well for me for years. So scared and nervous..... any input for me??? Please no stupid comments

  • @BoboniChroniChic good luck!! i am taking lithium for my bipolar disorder, but it isnt doing anything to my skin so i dont know how to help you there but i can tell you that the docs kow wat they are doing and (most of them) are very smart so you have nothing to worry about!! once again good luck with the new meds!

  • @BoboniChroniChic Tegretol slow release... been on it two year now... amazing stuff!!

  • :) you from scotland?

  • @SashaRicky Yip x

  • Thanks for sharing I'm on Lithium always curious about others experiences :)

  • I've got a feeling I might have BP, I get crushing lows and giddy, excessive highs. I also find it damn near impossible to concentrate which sucks, as I'm currently trying to study for a degree! My question is, if I do get diagnosed and start taking meds, will there be a disruptive transition period as my body adapts to them?

  • @ralphinio4 if u have gotten that far then it may not be as bad as you think or it may be in the beginning stages. welcome to the world of bipolar, enjoy ur stay, both of you.

  • @2012rurede it's not a fucking club.

  • Thanks for your videos, well done, don't know if I could expose myself peoples comments like that, would probably take negative criticism badly. I take Tegretol for BP for some months now and I have become so much more stable. I take 1000 mg daily. I also take Lamictal. Keep up the good fight, I'm over in Ireland BTW, Galway Regards, Pat

  • @pmannion02 Thanks for the comment Pat I used to live in Belfast! The neg stuff used to bother me until I realised it was mostly hateful scientologist w**kers who believe/are brainwashed that us lot are all lying about hallucinations, mania and crushing depression! Whatever!

  • @Tiahur76 I can assure you I am Bipolar and looking healthy has nothing to to with it. As for breading Bipolar disorder has run through my family for decades. With the help of Tegretol I am now in a stable relationship... looking forward to getting married and I can make proper decisions about life. Before my mind was so muddled with thoughts I couldn't make any decisions so just went on whims. I am also learning to deal with stress, which was impossible before.

  • @shoegalsho you are so right cause looking healthy has nothing to do with being bipolar. i also have the disorder and i am very healthy. with the help of lithium i am doing so much better in my marriage. went from going out and partying all the time to getting my marriage and family back on track. i feel so much better now and am thankful for medication

  • @Tiahur76

Too healthy looking? Are you retarded? Bipolar people look like anyone else. The most clean cut looking, dapper person can be bipolar. The happiest, most charming person can be bipolar.

  • bi-polarity has been growing to a rediculas number due to the population brainwashed by the media and television. i was on meds for 16 years...this is a desiner desease for prophit. there are some cases that need meds but most just need a good hug from the heart....this is not a medafor either, the real deal body and soul.

  • @Tiahur76 For a 33 year old Canadian your spelling is appalling! As for your opinions... I think you are basing allot of your them on the fact that you were misdiagnosed. Misdiagnosis is very common, especially with mental health conditions as there are no conclusive tests.

  • about my spelling, go suck a lemon.

  • @Tiahur76 MMMMMMMMMMM delicious!

  • @shoegalsho *appealing

    *a lot

  • @Tiahur76

Let me explain why there are so many of us bipolars now.

mental illness is BIOLOGICAL. meaning it's passed down. 25% chance your kid will turn bp if you have bp, 50% if both parents are bp.

back in the day, people with mental illness used to get locked up for life. now we are free, and we mate, thus producing more like us. this is the real reason why. not because of some brainwashed media affecting us all...get real.

  • @Tiahur76 "this is a desiner desease for prophit. there are some cases that need meds"

    So, which is it?

  • @Tiahur76 you are an idot! im sorry but you are! i have bp and it has nothing to do with the fucking media and tv! it is a disorder an illness!! i have been on 26 diff meds for my bpd and i am only 16!! so i think i might know jus a lil more then you when it comes to bp!! unless you have proof and facts then do NOT reply back cuz i dont want to hurt anybodys feelings!!!!!!!

  • hey man i know i suffer from something i thought i had fry polar, i have mood swings highs and lows and psychotic episodes were i want 2 harm others the doc put me on prozac and chlorpromezine what do u rekon i got

  • @Tiahur76 Your comments make me sad. :(

  • @Tiahur76 yeah but you're no one to make any kind of suggestion like that. You don't know if, without this medication, she's suicidal or homicidal. You have no idea.

  • @Tiahur76 wrong pill homie

  • My lief and relationships have been MUCH better since being on meds. I don't push people away any more. I used to do this when I was Manic and depressed. As I have rapid cycling this was every month. I have made new friends and kept them and I am now getting married.

  • you are right, and I do think otherwise now,so I'm gonna go get smashed for afew days and then I'm gonna do mneds again.you inspired me,i still wish I could spend acouple weeks with u,off the meds kuz I can fuck like a maniac, and u are beutiful...I'll stay in touch.I promise u I'll be doing better in a while, but for now I will be a pharoah preist heavenly chaos monk lord.I truly wish I was fucking dead...

  • I'd rather be crazy than be on meds.and I'm a crazy mofo.

  • Well when I'm 'crazy' or rather off meds I'm suicidal and I'd rather be alive than dead. Also, the meds I'm on (Tegretol SR) have no side effects and allow me to keep my personality and the Bipolar traits that I like.

  • yes I am with you, I am getting off all meds. with supervision of a doc. the last 3 months it is like I am expierienceing an awakening, everything is amazing...my new doc. says that I am not bi-polar but have a social anexiety..this is good now I pinpoint it and attack!!I am pretty crazy too, but it is fun!

  • Thats fair enough. You are not Bipolar. I am and lots of other people are. We need the meds.

  • I don't know if you can help me but presently I'm being treated for Bipolar Disorder, BPD and ADHD. I'm on Lamictal and my doctor was saying he'd see how I'd do in a month's time and if I'm doing better he'd take me off the meds. Do you know if this is a right move? I thought I'd have to take meds all my life.

  • That seems very strange. Where are you from Donnyboy1984 PM me and we can have a proper chat there is not really enough space here. Sho

  • I was on tegretol Retard for epilepsy...just realised tonight there is a link with it to helping bipolar.

  • is Tegretol used for Epilepsy?

  • Hey there! Yes it is.

  • yeah i thought as much. i think some children with epilepsy get terrible headaches and it can help them with that as well.

  • Trileptal is not tegretol retard. It is a by product of carbamazapine and therefore has fewer side effects if any. The retard is the normal carbamazapine but slow release. I take it for neuralgia - electric shocks in my face/teeth/nose but when it gets bad I take the normal stuff. It has terrible side effects that make you weak and depressed. Trileptal is experimental so you need to get it from hospital and not your GP ( don't know if the situation has changed).

  • I've never heard of Trileptal before. Did I not say that the retard part meant sr in the video? Oh well I should have. Some people (most people) are too sensitive to the 'spike and drop' if you will, of the amount in their blood stream. This is why sr works better. How can you cope with regular Carb!!! I felt like I had bad, BAD motion sickness all the time! It was horrific!

  • Thank you.

You are a very pretty woman.

  • I'm glad this is working for you. I don't tolerate Tegretol well. I have double vision & poor coordination before it is therapeutic and I am unable to drive, read, or watch tv without closing one eye. I also tend to walk into things & fall down the stairs. I couldn't take regular Lithium because of severe tremors before a therapeutic dose, but the extended release has been my salvation. It's been maybe 6 yrs on Lithobid & it is still working. Were you on regular Lithium or extended release?

  • OMG thats exactly how I was in 'video three' i think three anyway lol. It was normal Lithium I was on. A medical receptionist messed up my dose and thats why I had the side effects. I also stopped my lithium early which helped loads.

  • I wish you well with your med change!

  • Id say ur better on ur Carbamazapine. Lithium only have a small window in which it is therapeutic.

    Good luck great blog :)

  • I agree I really need a break from life for a year after everything Id been through and thats what it did for me. Now I'm feeling better and I need to get my life back on an even kilter. Thanks for your opinion!

  • I'm on 200mg Lithium (for Bipolar type 2) and I have to say, I know it's a low dose, but it's all I actually need because I suffer only hypomania but I've no side effects whatsoever, I've been really lucky. I can't say anythin bad about it at all. I have LOST weight too which is very odd for Lithium but there ya go, Abilify before that did not agree with me but from what i hear it doens't agree with most people :p

  • It's a great drug! It's just such a shame they don't have a type that has reduced side effects! I know Tegretol has one. Very annoying!

  • Don't take Tegretol ... inquire about Trileptal. Trileptal is basically the same except for an extra oxygen atom hence oxcarbazepine.

  • I discussed this with my Pdoc but as I have had no adversed side effects we decided that rather than go through yet another change so soon (I've only being coming off Lithium 5 weeks/on Tegretol 5) we would wait and see. Trileptal is also called Tegretol Retard in some countries in case anyone wondered. Was there are reason you are so against Tegretol? Did you have a bad experience? This is the kind of thing I was wanting to discuss here as there are no other patient videos. Thanks.

  • I have bipolar type 1. I'm on Lithium and have been for over a month now. The only side effects I gaet are a little nausea and some restlessness. Otherwise I'm doing better than I was before the medication.

  • For the first year I was increased 200 mg once a month until I got up to 800mg. Lithium was amazing! I loved it. I was level, calm, slept well and had my life under control. My Thyroid took a huff with it in October and my Lithium level dropped. My Pdoc put me on a 1g and this is went things went pants. I gained 3 stone in 6 weeks (water weight) I could noT sleep, my mood was shaky... hence the change. I hate people that go on about Lithium. I really does work brilliantly! What were u on before?

  • Tegretol can be a good drug because it doesn't cause weight gain, and it's better than Depakote because that drug can cause Poly-cystic Ovaries.

  • OH GOD! Depabloat! The tried to put me on that and I was like NO WAY! LOL!

  • Or Depacrap.... I've heard some people do well with it, but for a lot of people it causes weight gain.

  • Yeah me to! In fact everyone I've spoken to has gained weight Like you cannot pass a food shop without getting food. Really awful hunger all the time. Very dangerous and a bit rubbish considering you're trying to get your mood level and then you get depressed when you cannot loose weight!
