  • What happens today is just a modern version of slavery,you say if you get bullied you can get another job but you won t and if you do you end up with the same type of a boss,we are kinda screwed cause it s worldwide ,nowhere to escape,it s not gonna get better.. so enjoy

  • This video is psychobabble and does not address bullies, but guilts the victim into getting "coping skills" and to leave!(yeah right, that can happen in this economy). After exhausting the chain of command at work (that usually does NOTHING to bullies), then vicitms of bullying need to file formal grievances, go to their unions, go to attorneys, go to EEOC and file federal complaints, write politicians, the news media, etc

  • Besides documenting everything by journals/emails to self (blindcopied to home email and trusted individuals like family, union, etc), the employee needs to document each medical visit that stems from stress of job, stomach problems, acid reflux, heart condition, anxiety, depression, nervous condition or breakdown, etc.

  • what do you do when all of administration promotes a culture that bullying is a great way to practice? There is no HR to go to because you contact him and he turns around and tells the rest that the problem is complaining again. I could never be violent, that is not me and I will never allow bullies to also take my freedom but I can fully understand why some lose it! When I am being bullied or talked down to I just sit there and look at the person. It's sad to be an evil person & others hurt

  • I have met a lot of bosses who are just bullies -- just like bullies in schools. 

    If they know that you'll take their abuse, they will just dish it out to you. These bosses know who's weak and who's strong.

    If a boss becomes too intolerable/nasty, then call the police! It's abuse oftentimes, is it not?

  • I deal with the owner of the company and I can't go to anyone else because HE IS the owner. No matte how hard I work he always, ALWAYS tells me what have I done? and that everything is wrong. He calls me names and tells me I'm a stupid Mexican, he even throw a maker at me and almost hit me in the face. Why do rich people think they have power over others?

  • Very helpful info....I have a bully boss,but she knows not to come my way with her mean spirit.....I will go to hr on her fast as she say something out of term to me...It is always good to keep a record of everything going on day by day....

  • @majorl31 yes i agree. it is a gut eater even when u are at home. her info is not helfpfull, because we usually know going to HR is not going to help and u could end up moving because there are no other jobs local. these ppl get by with being obnoxious and lots of other things for years. i have seen it over and over..no stopping them. so u live with ulcers because of the rotten sociopaths.

  • @mwngw Managers are there to create turnover? BULLSHIT! Managers are there to manage,period. The biggest part of any managers job is to manage people. Ultimately it's people that generate turnover. There, you just had your first lesson, how does it feel?

  • @Daddios83 ...management is all politics and nothing to do with "managing people", in fact, management is itself a waste of corporate dollars. Left to the creativity and decent work ethic of the average worker - managers are not needed - they actually get in the way of productivity. Your response does illustrate the mindset of a typical manager, and it is 100% opposed to the realities of the first-line worker. People become managers because they lack intelligence, and take orders. Period.

  • @mwngw I cannot agree more - they get in the way and appear to be more over trying to justify their own position and not in fact assisting. I have had a good manager in the past however and he had enough trust to trust us to get on with the jobs we were paid to do instead of getting in the way every five minutes and missing out on supporting his staff.

  • I had an abusive, narcisist boss,I contemplated cutting him up with my chainsaw and feeding him into the chipper yay! mulch,or possibly pulling off his limbs with the backhoe.Instead I stabbed him in the back(not literally)

  • You said it right. I have come across quite a few women who deal with mean jerks. I like your video quality as well. Check a video of mine that teaches a lesson about a mean boss.

  • A difficult manager that shouts or bullies you has to be STOPPED. Like all bullies you have stop them in their tracks. This could cost your job but you have to determine if your job is more important then your dignity. By stopping them in their tracks, I mean going to HR and making sure that you officially have your complaint documented and that something is done. This will only be effective if your company is trustworthy and HR has a back bone. Either way, you will be happier.

  • Here's my take: If your a student working part time in a cheap job for a boss from hell, say 'fuck you, I quit', knowing that you'll probably earn more than them when you graduate.

  • I have been told that I am beautiful many times in the workplace. Everyone compliments me but I am not being big headed or anything because my manager use to be nasty to me all the time , like mentioned in the video no matter how hard you worked it was just not right , she picked on every little point of mine etc I am at that point in my life where I do want to excel and progress but having female managers that I have had they never give me the opportunity - it really does make me sad.

  • Don't be sad; look at them as if they were insects in an experiment. They are obviously threatened by you. Can you contact someone else in the workplace that you trust and show that person your work for feedback? Otherwise, can you go to your manager's boss and make the case that your boss is costing your business time and money by micromanaging? If not, can you secretly videotape this person? Is there someone in the company you can talk to about this?

  • @AmusedChild Thanks hun - I lost my job the one I was referring to - the girls bitched and bitched till my stupid manager kicked in - and did not even listen to my part and I was unlawfully treated. So there really is not a point in talking to anyone now. I have a new job now but im scared of the same happening again :(
