  • when you think of the cost of 1990 National Garden Festival which was held in Gateshead evey body thought at time it last for years to come how we where conded the people who worked on it were geting £10 pound and there dole money to work on it when it open to the puplic none of the who worked for £10 did not get a job with garden festival and went back on the dole just go's to show don't belvie the people at the top

  • @goahead100

At least you were paid. In 2010 I was put on New Deal and was forced to work unpaid. As it was near Christmas a local well known department store asked for many people from where I was as that way they got 'free' staff to work for them.

    Slavery!

Between now and December 2012 you can expect to see much change, including the people at the top getting their just rewards and more.

  • Was that OO scale Metrocar that one by Alexander Models?

  • Probably. But I am not certain.

  • My favourite part was the Metrocars!

I am glad to see them in their 1990's livery!

Would it be OK to use this and the Gateshead footage in a history of the tyne and wear metro film I am doing?

  • I assume you mean the yellow and the claret metrocars?

  • yeah

  • I know that place...it is near my dad's ex-girlfriends house (I recognise the gasmeter) A masterpiece of a video,

    Alex

  • Thanks

    ;-)

There is one more film to come, its the most ambitious of the lot and still being edited.
