@doctornoooo I checked IMDB and it looks like Phil Rosen and Phil Karlsen have different birthdates and different filmographies. So, it looks like they are individual directors. Looks like Phil Karlsen did direct a Charlie Chan movie "Dark Alibi" while Phil Rosen directed a number of Charlie Chan movies... at least 5
Glad to hear the audio was off..and it wasn't just the fact that I paused this a couple of times. Even with the glitches..I still love these Charlie Chan mysteries.
I think I like Number Four son..I didn't think I would, compared to Number Two and others (such as 'Beauty of Chan Family', the daughter). But he's growing on me.
Great movie but they need to tighten up the sound track the track is off about 2 seconds and it is annoying to watch . This happens on all Charlie Chapling movies uploaded by apeloki
How bizarre. The entrance to the gas chamber is through the elegant living room. That must come in handy when you have annoying guests. This old mansion should have been featured in "Better Homes and Gas Chambers."
I'd like to thank you for uploading also. As someone else posted, I have a few Charlie Chan Collections but don't have this one and can't get more right now.
I grew up watching Charlie Chan, and others, on TV. Always liked the ones that had Birmingham and one of Chan's sons best.
Interesting question. Phil Rosen is listed on Wikipedia as being born in Poland and directing a total of 142 films in his lifetime. There is also an article for Phil Karlson and photos for each director. Another director known for primarily cheapies is Jean Yarbrough. All three were born around the same time. I think, just as actors get pigeonholed in certain roles, so too would directors get hired for what they did successfully before.
realizing this is way way way to much inside baseball for this series, but does anyone know if Phil Karlsen directed this, have noticed Phil Rosen Phil something else similar to Karlsen, then Karlsen as well, just wondering if he was moonlighting and was too ashamed to display his name with the cheap wares. Karlsen was a very good director it will take somebody with extraordinary knowledge of b movies to know the answer thanks in advance.
Thank you for uploading this movie. I have the collection that has Charlie in London,Shanghai,Paris&Egypt. Cant afford anymore yet, so if you have access to others, please upload. Thanks again.

A ridiculous title. There is no jade mask. All of the masks are made of plaster. But I like the movie. It's very suspenseful.

It is very annoying that the film is out of sync with the voices.

We watched this in english class. Although we couldn't understand all of it (especially Birmingham was hard to understand) it was very interesting.
