Before Gino showed up on the Highland scene, they were in the State finals EVERY year from 1993-2003? I think they lost maybe two state title games in that time. He has gotten them one title along with several losses in the playoffs. Like I said, he is coaching a pre-existing system that will still be in place when he is gone. Dads on the hill raising their boys to one day be stars on the Highland football team. I don't have a problem with that, but he is not the big reason for the success there

After watching it a couple of times, that looks pretty intentional. The guy just made a beeline straight for the kicker while everyone else was running back to block.

ok its freaking football. part of it is hitting people its not that big of a deal.
and just to make a point that for this game there were several extra refs than there usually is and not a single one of them threw a flag so obviously it wasn't a foul yes it was a cheap shot but it was legal and again sometimes that is part of football. second ben wasn't trying to hurt taysom he was just trying to shake him up a bit. and third all you highland people stop whining you won the game so get over it!

Nobody is saying that the hit was illegal! It was legal. The thing that wasn't legal was that he was offsides! So even if the hit was legal, he was past the 50 before the ball was kicked. And you don't know that Ben wasn't trying to hurt Taysom. Sure maybe that's what he and Harrison said but nobody knows if that is true except them.

anyone who is defending poky in this needs to realize how bad it would suck for someone with a full ride to stanford to mess up his knee and lose over 100 grand in scholarships. here you have a kid who will be playing football at an ivy league school while getting a free education, and he is being cheapshotted by a kid whose college future and football career share no correlation. there is a lot more to life than high school football...

The only reason we played Taysom the rest of the game was because if we took him out like Poky wanted us to, we would lose, like Poky wanted us to. But no Taysom sucked it up and played amazingly like he always does. So Poky, SUCK IT!

Before Gino showed up on the Highland scene, they were in the State finals EVERY year from 1993-2003? I think they lost maybe two state title games in that time. He has gotten them one title along with several losses in the playoffs. Like I said, he is coaching a pre-existing system that will still be in place when he is gone. Dads on the hill raising their boys to one day be stars on the Highland football team. I don't have a problem with that, but he is not the big reason for the success there

And the retaliation was actually a clean hit - I had a perfect view of it from the sideline - hit Poky kid at the waist and bounced down the leg - should never have been flagged for the low block.
Of course the officials had no clue what to even do with it. I swear I wonder what game they are watching.....
