I agree with "pianistbk". Don't be discouraged. I first heard this played by a prodigy in highschool. I have worked on this piece, too. It can only be correctly played by an expert with lots of practice. Again, she should focus on hitting the notes at a slow pace and then working on increasing speed. The expression and feeling will come later.
If you look at the profiles of the detractors you will find that all of them are not pianists and most of them are not even intelligent.
They are just mostly a bunch of jealous people who get their jollies by trying to cut down people vast superior to themselves. Don't listen to these retards....I know this music and my son is learning it too. Your daughters performance is amazing and she WOULD surely win many competitions playing it in the US. And neary perfected it after only 1 month...wow!
Don't be discouraged after failing the Korea University of Arts! I live in the USA and that would be very unusual for an 11 yr old to play the piece! She would probably win lots of competitions where I live.
Thanks! My daughter played this piece 11 years old. and now she is learning Mathmatics and English to be a pianist. Korean student must learn those terms even though he want to be a artist.
what is the point of playing the piece at full speed if you don't hit the notes? Learn that intro run at largo if you have to, but program it into your hands before you increase speed. You don't have the fundamental theme of the piece mastered yet. Without the muscle memory, you won't be able to land the difficult parts in the later half of the piece.
My daughter is now discouraged after falling Korea Nationial University of Arts. She is now learning mathmatics and other subject matter to enter more general music university..Math. or second language just like English is more important than musicality in Korea to be a pianist. How about USA?
How you can play with your heart when you technique is not there? But I must agree, speed is not the most essential part of a music, the most essential is presenting the meaning behind the piece. What does it convey?
I suggest you should watch how cambry plays this. I feel that you have to practice on the differentiation of strength, it seems to be the strength is kinda uniform
All is well and dandy... just a few pointers if you want: Watch out for the rest at 2:3, right after the climax... may be its the sound quality... but right now theres no rest, and it would sound so much more structurally correct if its included.
its personal opinion, but I dislike the rubato you give to the melody where the right hand plays the scale in thirds... its very distracting, but thats just me.
The melody isn't very clear at 35 seconds. The right hand's melody is pronounced since it's in octaves, but the hands alternate with the melody, and the left hand's melody is muddled.
it would be less boring for her if she understood a single note she plays. It´s very impressive, ya´know, but she needs a great teacher and a lot of inspiration. Technique isn´t everything.
anyway noone on WHOLE BIG WORLD is able to play so fast this peace :|if u dont belive me it s fake just look on her head moves ,or move of music sheet !! it s all TOO FAST , this is fake ,cant understand such people :))
What are you talking about?! This video have never translated more fast. It is As is. Unnatual turning music score was caused by torn paper..Stop carring serious misunderstanding to all people.
If you unbelevable, Click my ID and listen another playing just like Chopin Fantasie Impromptu..etc. She have ability play more complex score..The only problem is small hand. Most Asian's finger is short than European, and woman's finger is more short than man..
little girl i can understand she s bored ,but man....
she s long way to go yet ,it s just a "roboplayin" feelings will come in few years ,in this few years she should practise further and further ,than maybe she will understand the music, and know how to play REALY good , cause now it s only a childish play :)
this little girl is playin rachmaninoff - OK - but i think in low tempo ,and Her father made it up further :| u said SHE S BORRED WITH PIANO !!!:O she s just a
i wouldnt say boring piano. though she is good she still has a long way to go and there are pieces much more difficult than this. why doesnt she just play both violin and piano, that way she wouldnt get bored.
its surprizing she still needs to read the music while playing if shes so accurate. try playing without it
i've been playing for 10 years now and i played that piece not even in a month.
bravo.
However, it should be a sense of dynamics and emotion. The techincal part is down, all you need is be more musical and enjoy it...
overall it was very very good, but it was the same dynamic...forte and a little bit of piano. how about exaggerating some parts more like the beginning? VERY NICE THOUGH
She taken lessons on the violin 3 years from 7 year old before learing piano..but she had bored that very very much. so I change to piano. but now she is boring piano..
