I absolutely love your hair color. It does look very natural.
So, I want to dye my hair with henna too. And my natural hair color is like medium blonde. And I want color a little darker than yours. And I'm not sure if it'll work, since my hair is light. And I heard that you can add like black tea or something to the mix, so that the result would be darker. And how long do I have to leave it on my hair. Do you know if there's a way?
@TheOhaiKate I'd try just rouge first to see what colour you go. If you don't like it straight away you can dye it again. If you want to go darker you could mix in a little of the brun or black henna that's also available from Lush. I'd probably go with the brun. If you ask for a sample they'll give you a decent sized piece to mix in with the rouge. Ask when/if you go in and see what the ladies say - they're usually very good with random tips about using henna :)
This looks great on you! Your skin color is PERFECT for red hair. I saw your before picture and that looks good too, but the ginger color just works so well for your skin color. Well done!
i naturally had reddish brown hair color and i decided to dye it with henna and the result i got was burgundy and i hate it i wanted like yours i used vinegar, lemon juice on henna paste and left it for 24 hours to release
i put it on my hair for an hour and 20 min. what i can do now to get your hair color with henna am desperate help pls....
@lillylebanon I'm no expert on henna, but I found the first few times I used it that the longer I put it on for the darker the colour. So for me, 1.5 hours wouldn't be enough even for a re-dye. I leave mine for 4 hours straight just to redo my roots.
I was told by a lady in Lush recently that olive oil helps strip henna out of hair although whether this is actually true or not, I can't really say.
did anyone even listen to her? she stated the condition her hair was in and never said that it was in a bad state because of the henna. she actually said it its because she hasn't had it cut in a while.
You're complaining of horrible hair ends, and blaming it on the henna, when you heat style and you haven't had a trim in at least two years? I think you should think on about how you style your hair, before blaming it on a natural product.
@Bulbie7 I was stating what my hair was/is like. I actually started using the henna BECAUSE of my split ends and crap condition as I've read good reviews of henna making hair stronger. Now I've been using henna for 18 months, instead of the breakage I used to experience, my hair is now touching my waistline and I'd totally recommend the product for this reason.
I'm sorry you thought I was blaming the henna, I'll make sure I'm clearer in any further videos I make.
@Bulbie7 This also greatly annoyed me.. Lush products are all made from natural ingredients and would not have damaged your hair in anyway.. also if i have to listen to you say erm once more im going to go insane.. sorry just my opinion
@randomnessalways I dye my hair between every 3 - 6 weeks depending on what other products I've been using and also what season it is as in summer the sun bleaches it slightly. Hope this helps!
@indiefied5 I left it on for about 6 hours the first time and now when I redye it I leave it on about 4 to 5 hours. If I'm only redying the roots I only keep it on about 3 or 4 hours. It depends on how deep you want the colour :)
@nailsinc19 Several of the ladies in my local store have dyed their hair using henna, a couple using the rouge so I had a good look at what colour my hair should have turned out. Mine has gone much much darker than any of theirs, but I wasn't too set on having light red/ginger hair so I'm happy. I can only say try a strand test and leave it on as long as possible before taking it off. When I did my strand test, I only left it on 2 hours and it turned out a wishy washy colour x
hello, i am going for the same thing. But i wonder, what hair color did you have before coloring it ? Dark or light? Because i tend on using the caca rouge in the summer, but i have dark/blond hair, will it come out as nice as yours ? Hope you can reply.
@CheeseOnEarth I know what you mean about being called ginger, but I've had a lot more positive comments than bad so I hope you do in the long run too.
@Emma0459 I look forwards to hearing what your hair turns out like. I like the idea of having redder hair (instead of ginger) haha
Hi! Im waiting for my caca rouge to arrive in the post! Im very excited about using it! I've read loads about henna over the past few days. Im going to mix my blocks with some yemeni powder and leave it in for ages!!!! Yemeni henna gives your hair a really rich red colour rather than gingery orange Perhaps if u want a redder colour you could try this...I'll let you know how I get on! x
I use this and loved it, but when I went into school people (still do) call me ginger. But tbh, I like it and yeah I find that it fades quicker than I would like but I know it's better for my hair than the chemical stuff :) x
VASELINE GELLY around your hairline works WONDerssssssssssssssssssss.

@Lorelle1020 Pretty sure Lush has an American site you can order from. Google 'Lush' and it should come up with the shop.
