  • FUCKING AMAZING

  • Love it! Thanks for sharing this one by JC & BD.

  • well im a young buck and i am on the same page as you and its not young ones u need to educate its the ones who have no clue at all get it right but we agree and everyone spead this music everywhere it help

  • Bad news for ya MegaChannel. Dylan doesn't appear on this track. He simply gave the song to Johnny, without ever recording it himself. And this is Johnny's Studio recording of it (with one of his band members singing with him). He also recorded a Live version, on "Johnny Cash at San Quentin". FYI... even though Dylan has given away many songs to friends of his, he RARELY would appear on them, as well. "Wallflower", by Doug Sahm & Band, is one of the FEW, that immediately come to mind.

  • i new that dlanneveractally sang this thats weird ifyo ask me but what eva

  • I am from Turkey and I just heard that Bob Dylan's grandchild has become a rapper , I am sad because the DNA's of the real musicians could not pass the new genereations purely

  • @Yeahyeah2829 yeah, must have been taken in early 1965 i'd say

  • johnny cash and bob dylan really had no choice but to collaborate, i'd say, since no other motherfuckers were on their level. emotionally, poetically, intellectually, or in terms of all the speed in their systems

  • This isn't The Nashville Sessions is it? What's it from?

  • Yea i know, nobody cares about how old I am. But still. I'm 15 and i really like this old music. Even though i still think there are good songs made these days, cash and dylan are still two of my favourite artists :)

  • @froseo9 there's just as much good music today as there was back then. the radio just doesn't want you to know that

  • It sounds like Marty Stuart's B-Bender on lead there, don't know when this was recorded. If it was in the 80s then it's likely Marty's playing here, it sounds like his style.

  • このポップな感じが最高にかっこいい

  • All I listen to usually is Bob, Bruce, Johnny, Elvis and The beatles. :)

  • @Crazycupmuffin well that's a pretty closed look at the world of music... they are all amazing but you can't dismiss all the other geniuses of music...

  • @feloniousmonkey94 I do listen to lots of artists i was just sayin that they are the ones i listen to the most is al.

  • @Crazycupmuffin well you my friend need to brighten your horizons

  • @STEEZEMCGEE Look i listen to hundreds of solo artists and bands all im saying is the ones that get played the most are them.

  • @Crazycupmuffin well you said all i so i figured thats all you listen to hahah sorry misconception

  • You might be right.

    I'm still saadned

My friend gets killed, and othier I can do nothing from the cops

    Worthless bastards

Guress it's in my hand now.

    Trust me I want revenge.

  • @basylwrathbone

I'd guess it was Carl Perkins who played the lead.

He did it for Cash his whole career.

    RIP Johnny RIP Carl

  • @capt777737 Incorrect sir, judging by when this was recorded it was most likely Bob Wootton. You're thinking of Luther Perkins, who died in '68. Although Carl did play for John a few times, only a little while before Bob was hired in '69.

  • @capt777737 You mean Luther, no relation.

  • ya dont know if ya know now zimmy wrote this song for johnny about his troubles in el paso and bob later that year released john wesley harding who lived , worked , and died from a gun shot to the back , so in all qalitys this is similar but planned, johnny cash was found not guilty and his lawyer was woodrow beam who a street was named after in el paso so the old road to mexico has a many a footprint laid down before it , its easy to say all wanted men in el paso that r good HAVE TASTED

  • @jjhammerful doode the song is about fooling around with other men's women

  • Here's the DEFINITIVE poop, on this song. Definitely written by Bob Dylan, however he DEFINITELY does not appear on this, Johnny Cash's studio version of the song. Cash also does a Live version of this song somewhere, but NOT on "At Folsom Prison". The ONLY time Dylan & Cash ever appeared together on ANY official recording, was their duet on "Girl From The North Country", the opening cut of "Nashville Skyline", although there are hours of the same sessions, available on Bootlegs.

  • Really good song, I prefer Nick Cave's version though!

  • *****

  • bob dylan is completely not involved in this song. look up the nashville sessions -- this ain't it!

  • I think Bob Dylan wrote the song.

  • I don't hear Dylan's voice anywhere in thi recording!!

  • Bob Dylan......with Johnny Cash

  • im 21, cannot stand most music these days, look in my car all you'll find are johnny cash, waylon jennings, willie nelson and kris kristofferson cd's, nothing else, and theres over 100 in there!

  • @magnetandsteel2007 what are you looking for? a medal ?

  • Country music now is a joke. Like give me a break, Taylor swift....really? she sang this crap song about johnny and june a while back. Thats not ur territory little rich girl. Classic rock and roll is great and this is to die for. People need to listen to the words, not go on about a load of shit like frikkin snoop dawg and crappy singers like that. THE WORDS ARE MUMBO JUMBO THAT NORMALLY DONT MAKE A PROPER SENTENCE OR HAVE A SUBJECT. people just eat up whatever tv tells them...garbage mostly.

  • cant go wrong with either of these two genius's.

  • Bob Dylan DID NOT PERFORM this with Johnny Cash!

  • So..where's Bob?

  • @YBPeople Pretty sure Dylan didn't sing or play on this song, but he wrote it.

  • @biged004552 Johnny Cash and Bob Dylan co-wrote the song together

  • bob is not on this, they never do this song togetherm they did a bunch of tunes in Nashville together bu this wasnt one of them, T for Texas, good morning sunshine, Girl from N country, and a few other gems, but not this one

  • Everything Cash and Dylan did together was pure gold and not enough younger people who are into either one have any clue they worked together. I for one think it's a fuckin' shame. thats why I try to educate every young buck that says they like one the other or both. Rest in peace John and make me more music Bob.

  • @TheYnghippi so-called johnny cash fans might be ignorant but trust me "dylan diehards" are well aware of dylan's relationship with johnny. it goes with the territory. dylan's real fans are primarily cultist.

  • @TheYnghippi i'm only 14 and i Listen to greats like Bob Dylan, Bob Marley, Johnny Cash, Ray Charles, Willie Nelson, the Rat Pack, and thats only the tip of the iceberg

  • @TheYnghippi i agree. im in college and i still find it surprising how few people listen to johnny cash, dylan, waylon jennings and willie nelson. you just good american folk and country music, even bluegrass and old rock n roll. people these days just like whatever mtv and the local pop station tell them is good. and i am sick of hearing pop country singers put johnny cash and other stars names in a song just to make it more popular...

  • @TheYnghippi -it's a shame you don't realize that Bob Dylan isn't even on this track

  • @TheYnghippi Bob dylan was johnny's firs guess on the johnny cash show.

  • @TheYnghippi i grew up on Johnny Cash and some bob dylan. im 17 and i cried when Cash died. and when ever dylan and cash did something it was pure gold your right about that man!

  • @TheYnghippi I am15 and I LOVE JOHNNY CASH and BOB DYLAN!! And I'm introducing my friends to Zimmy's music, too!!

  • @TheYnghippi

Well said hippi. I absolutely love this song, particularly this version. I would love to know who played lead guitar on this. I know it's an early studio recording, but I'm not sure if this one made it onto an album. Of all the versions of Wanted Man this guitar blows any other away. Even Johnny sounds more soulful and pure in this one.

And if anyone doubts that he and Bob collaborated on this, take a listen to the Live at San Quentin version.

  • Dylan song but dont here his Bobness singing here!

anyone got a version by Bob?

  • SYLO
